You will enjoy a homemade breakfast in the morning at the family farm far away from traffic and the hustle and bustle of crowded cities. The remotely located farm will let you experience a peaceful day filled with authenticity.

Embark the car-free ferry RITAN from Hvannasund on Viðoy island at 08:45 in the morning. The ferry area comes with lots of space for you to park your car for free.

Twenty minutes or so later, you will arrive on Svínoy island. Now, you will walk on your own along the only road on the island. This road is super easy to walk and connects the harbour with the settlement another 20 minutes from where the ferry arrives.

The farmers will greet you once you have walked your way into the lovely village. Houses here are dotted nicely on the wide-open grassland. The red painted farm house is easily recognised.

You will be in the middle of a day in the life of a farmer in the Faroe Islands. The only thing on schedule on this day except the food experiences is to enjoy the serenity of the place.

Once you arrive in the farm house, you will enjoy a breakfast. You will now have time on your own to spend relaxing in this remotely located piece of nature. There might be a chance to feed and hand the animals. From sheep to chickens.

You can go for a delightful walk independently on the island. Walk around and savour the stunning views over the North Atlantic Ocean and the mountains.

The farmer couple will serve you a delicious soup in their home. The soup is ready for you at 13:30. The ferry will pick you up around 16:00. The farmers will let you know when it is time for you to go for the easy walk back to the harbour.

You will spend around 7 hours on this tour from the moment you embark the ferry from Viðoy island to Svínoy island and until you are back on Viðoy island at the end of the tour.

You will pay the ferry ticket onboard the ferry RITAN. The ferry accepts all credit cards.
