Perfect Way to See the Faroe Islands!
We booked the 7-day self-drive package (plus an extra night) and it was truly one of the best travel decisions we’ve made. We stayed at Hotel Føroyar, which was wonderful; we even got an unexpected upgrade to a suite on arrival.
The manual transmission car we booked was supposed to be a Mazda but ended up being a Nissan — totally fine for us, since anything manual was perfect. The package also included the two main undersea tunnels, which are the key ones you’ll need to explore the islands.
Honestly, this was a great deal. I tried pricing everything out on my own, and I couldn’t even come close to the package price. The itinerary they provided was excellent; we adjusted it a bit based on the weather and added a few extra hikes using AllTrails, but all the main highlights were already included.
Communication was fast and friendly the whole way through. We always got quick responses to questions, and they even followed up to thank us and mention that they’d read our reviews of the individual excursions after our trip.
If you plan to rent a car, I highly recommend booking this package. We had such an amazing time exploring Vágar, Streymoy, Eysturoy, Kalsoy, and Borðoy — every island was unforgettable!

I had done alot of research and had a couple of books (travel guides to the Faroes) and I found that your suggestions were spot on and we actually ended up doing al the things you suggested even though I was using other sources as well for my information.
The hotel was fantastic especially the breakfasts and they arranged adjoining rooms for us which was helpful. The car rental was great. We also appreciated your responsiveness to questions during the trips, advice about ferries etc.

We had a fantastic time on the Faroes. The ability to drive round mode of the islands was so much fun. Our highlight was the guided tour with Katrin our guide on Mykines. Photographing the puffins as they flew in from the sea was amazing.As we turned every corner we were greeted with a glorious view. We hired our car from Sixt and the lady there was most helpful and very understanding of our requirements. We will never forget the wonderful Faroe Islands.
