Welcome to Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands is truly a beautiful country. Although the weather wasn’t exactly in our favour, my guide for the tour, Elsa Maria B., made sure we still had a memorable day and an amazing overall trip.

To be honest, I didn’t expect too much from the tour at first, but it turned out to be one of the best memories from my travels. Elsa is an incredibly dedicated and passionate guide. She was always open to questions, and what surprised me most was how genuinely curious she was about her guests and where we came from.

I got to learn about the Faroe Islands from the perspective of a local, visit so many beautiful spots, stop for tea and coffee breaks, and even try Faroese akvavitt, which was absolutely amazing. In just 7 hours, I truly felt like I saw the very best of the islands, so the tour definitely lives up to its title.

I would absolutely love to visit again sometime in the future. Highly recommended!

The tour is so great. However, I choose the extra activity for watching birds and pay for it but the tour did not. That makes me feel it is fraudulent.

Fantastic seamanship, taking the boat through narrow channels and rock arches in quite choppy conditions. Quite the experience!

Great guide (Heðin) that gave us alot of information and history as we walked. one thing to know is that the food was amazing, but lots of carbs and sweets, but you will get full.

We had an amazing experience on the boat tour! Seeing Drangarnir and Múlafossur up close was absolutely breathtaking, and spotting puffins along the way made it even more special. Everything was very well organized, and we truly enjoyed the experience. Thank you for such a memorable tour 😊

Finnur was amazing! I planned a surprise proposal with him, and after he captured the moment beautifully, he drove us around to some of the most stunning locations I've ever seen. Getting to talk with him and hear his stories was a highlight of our trip. Like a previous reviewer said, it was like meeting a new friend, and having that personal connection transformed the experience for us. We also booked it for the beginning of our trip, so it really helped us get a lay of the land.

The photos turned out beautifully, and he sent them (a couple hundred!) a few days after the session. Finnur is very flexible, so to make the most of your experience, I would recommend working out a route with him ahead of time and having a good idea of what kinds of poses you want to do. But, even if you don't do that, it will still be an excellent experience and more than worth it.

We had an amazing experience with Katrin. While we didn't see any puffins because of weather and being at the very beginning of the season, the views, history, and food were amazing. Katrin was wonderful with our young son. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Getting out on the water is a must if you want to experience the Faroes. Captain Flosi put us on top of a cod bank and we caught over a dozen decent sized fish and more than we needed for dinner. No haddock which was a bit of a disappointment but that’s fishing. The boat was very nice although it might get tight with more than a couple of anglers on board. Not an inexpensive outing but everything costs a lot here. I’d recommend the trip if you’re into fishing. It was a good way to see the harbor without being crowded on a tour boat.

I highly recommend this tour for your trip to the Faroe Islands! I took this tour recently, and Elsa was incredibly knowledgeable and shared plenty of fun facts along the drive. While the weather was a bit cold and rainy on the day I booked my tour, I still had tons of fun. Elsa makes plenty of stops along the way and will even alter the tour slightly to fit the sights and information you find interesting. The drive is incredibly scenic, and I was able to see so much in just a day. Else is a true local, so you can bet she also had some great recommendations for food and other sights for the rest of your trip!

I made this trip with Niklas on May 9, didn’t expect much, just initially wanted to spend somehow my free time but the result finally was far above my expectations. Nikolas knows the sea very good, he has changed several positions and finally we found the right place. In spite the fact that the weather conditions were bad for fishing he tried to do his best and in 3 hours i caught around 15 big size fishes. I was very happy. The boat is well maintained and the trip was very well organized. Last but not least it wasn’t overpriced. Highly recommended!
