Welcome to Faroe Islands

The whole trip to Eysturoy island was really fascinating. The guide was experienced and extremely helpful. He told the island’s history and folktales in a very engaging way. We really enjoyed the trip a lot. The lunch was excellent.

Loved it. Highly recommend. It is a different experience to see cliffs from the seaside. Great boat, excellent route, good price.

Eerst hadden we verkeerd geboekt, gemaild en hadden zo snel een mail terug met de juiste boeking. Heel erg fijn. De instructies naar de boot waren duidelijk. De boottocht zelf was prachtig. Hadden een hele fijne kapitein en gids! Waren gezellig aan het zingen en kletsen, maar ook toegankelijk voor onze vragen. Ze hebben er echt iets leuks van gemaakt. Dikke aanrader om te boeken.

After being met at the Harbor Oda started sharing all her knowledge of the Faro Islands and especially Mykines with us. She showed us around the island, showed us everything that is done to make tourists aware of the culture and the nature of the island. She shared her love for puffin and the respect of their environment. We had a typical and locally provided lunch. We're glad we chose this way to see Mykines.

The boat ride had amazing views and was rough at times, but great overall.

The “See it All” tour on July 14, 2026 guided by Elsa Maria Bærentsen was excellent and memorable. I’ll rate it 5/5 and I shall recommend this to all my friends on my social media if they visit Faroe Islands.👍🏻👏🏻

We had such a wonderful and memorable evening in the warm and welcoming home of our hosts. The traditional Faroese fish dinner was absolutely delicious, and we loved sharing the evening with our three children and the other guests.

What made the evening truly special were the great conversations and the opportunity to learn so much about life, culture and traditions in the Faroe Islands. Our hosts were so friendly and took the time to answer all our questions — including those from our children.

To finish the evening, they even sang a traditional Faroese song for us, which was a beautiful and unforgettable moment.

Thank you for your warm hospitality, the wonderful food and such a special evening we will never forget!

This tour was a great experience. Randi is a brilliant story teller and gave a lot of background information so it didn’t matter too much that the visibility was not great. Extra points for the opportunity to interact with one of the locals, Olga the sheep!

Wunderschöner Ausflug auf die Insel Mykines – absolut empfehlenswert

Der Ausflug auf die Insel Mykines war ein wunderschönes Erlebnis und ist absolut empfehlenswert. Besonders schön war, dass die Tour in einer kleinen Gruppe stattfindet. Wenn man die erste Tour des Tages bucht, sind noch nicht so viele Touristen unterwegs, wodurch man die beeindruckende Natur und die besondere Atmosphäre der Insel noch intensiver geniessen kann.

Unser Guide Eli war grossartig. Man merkt sofort, wie viel Erfahrung er mit der Insel hat und dass seine Familie von Mykines stammt. Mit viel Wissen und Leidenschaft hat er uns die Geschichte, die Natur und die Besonderheiten der Insel nähergebracht.

Ein absolutes Highlight war, die Puffins aus nächster Nähe beobachten zu können – ein unvergesslicher Moment! Die Nähe zu den Tieren und die atemberaubende Landschaft haben diesen Ausflug zu einem ganz besonderen Erlebnis gemacht.

Vielen Dank an Eli für diese tolle Tour – ich kann den Ausflug nach Mykines jedem empfehlen!

This was a fantastic way of covering quite a lot of the Faroer Islands and exploring the fascinating landscape by minibus and on foot. Johan and his family were amazing guides and in addition to seeing the landscape I learned so much about Faroese culture and ways of thinking - even got a chance of tasting the local "delicacies"! In particular, I would like to praise the flexibility to deal with "force majeures" such as the weather, one of our trips was cancelled, but Johan came up with a brilliant alternative and also the other trips were clearly planned very well to "work" given the conditions.

I wanted to visit the Faroe Islands for several years now, and this year I finally made it happen -- and I am so glad I chose Guide to Faroe Islands and this hiking package. Everything was organised seamlessly, the communication with Hogni was swift and he answered any question I had; I truly didn't have to worry about anything and could just appreciate the incredible landscape. My guide Hugin was great fun, very knowledgable and tailored all the hikes to the weather. The hikes themselves always included interesting landmarks and amazing views. The nature is just indescribable, unlike any other place I ever hiked. I especially loved the hike at Gjogv and the Postman's Trail, but all of them were fantastic. When SAS left my suitcase in Copenhagen, Hugin adjusted the schedule so I didn't miss out on anything and helped me deal with the whole situation at the airport. Hotel Hafnia was also great, perfectly located in the very city center so everything is nearby, and the staff is very helpful and nice. Faroes will forever have a piece of my heart (as will the Mikkeller bar). Thanks for making this such an amazing experience.
