Welcome to Faroe Islands

Awesome tour! This was one of our favorite things we did this trip. It was so cool to be able to see the cliffs up close and even go in some of the caves. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the island and birds. He also clearly knew how to operate the boat precisely and safely. We never felt unsafe even when going in some of the tighter spaces.

Aloha! A must-do/see while visiting the Faroes. Michael shows you the perfect route to see all the beauty of the Vagar coastline and Bøsdalafossur Waterfall. I recommend opting in for the pass to the Lake above the Ocean(200DKK) and combine the 2 excursions. Stunning scenery, pack for all weather conditions.

Fantastic tour. Our great guide, his sister and the cutest dog Gin made it even more special. I enjoyed all the views very much. We experienced a lot of of fog. But suddenly the fog was gone right in time on the most spectacular view. Thank you so much for this experience.

Could not have had a better guide than Elsa-Maria. We were three in her car and The guide gave us a lot of facts but also stories from everyday life. The nature on these islands is rougher, very interesting. Had a very fun, very rewarding day

A great tour, about ten of us and a nice guide who also drove the bus. Saw a lot on the two biggest islands, can really recommend the tour

Took the local bus which worked fine. The boat-tour is rewarding and very nice. Going back the local bus did not wait for the boat which was ten minutes after schedule but it came another bus two hours later

Amazing crew, they gave us the chance to see many unusual places under the cliffs and approaching to the open Ocean!

We were so lucky, had great weather, as the ferry was not running for the previous 2 days.
Katrin was wonderful, so proud of her roots and happy to show us all around the village, very hospitable. Saw puffins and beautiful scenery. The fish soup was perfect at the end of the walk. Definitely book this whole day tour if you are in the Faroe Islands.

What!! A!! Day!!!! As a solo female traveler who doesn't drive, I felt like this was the perfect tour for me to experience as much of the Faroe's as possible. My expectations were not only met...they were far (far!) exceeded. Elsa is the best guide I've ever encountered. She weaves stories of local tradition, folklore, and personal ancestral history to make each location come alive. We stopped often to get photos and even pulled off to see rare Faroese horses. The lunch stop was superb...I anticipated a little cafe with sandwiches but it turned out to be one of the best meals I had in the Faroe's. By the end of the day, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much.

I'd highly recommend anyone to take this tour, especially if you're interested in understanding the culture and history of The Faroe Islands. Thank you, Elsa, for an amazing day!

Worth it!

This was such a fun experience!! We tasted some delicious foods and saw some of the beautiful city. I would definitely do this tour again!

Jogvan Saved the Day — and Made It Unforgettable.

I nearly missed out on one of the most magical experiences of my entire Faroe Islands trip — and it would have been entirely my own fault. I missed the ferry, and with it, what I thought was my only shot at the tour. But Jogvan refused to let the day be a loss.

He worked with me patiently and creatively, going well above and beyond what any guide or operator would be expected to do, problem-solving on the fly to rearrange logistics and make the experience happen.

His warmth, local knowledge, and sheer determination to make things work turned what could have been a frustrating disaster into one of the highlights of my trip.

If you’re visiting the Faroes and have the chance to work with Jogvan, don’t hesitate for a second. And if things go sideways? That’s exactly when you’ll see what makes him exceptional.

I had a wonderful experience on my tour. Elsa Maria was a wealth of information and anecdotes. It is always a treat to learn about a place from a local, and she has deep roots and a deep affection for her country. I initially thought I could use public transportation to see many of the sites I wished to see. This is not possible. The bus system is not for tourists, but geared for school and work hours. I was not comfortable renting a car due to the very narrow, twisty and turny roads (no shoulders and no guard rails). So I was very glad I booked this day tour to see many of the places on my wish list! We had beautiful weather, a great group of people, a comfortable van, lots of stops for photos and to stretch your legs, and we covered a vast amount of the islands. I definitely recommend this tour!

We were lucky enough to explore the beautiful Northern Islands with Elsa Maria. We greatly appreciated her energy, her kindness, and her knowledge, which made our tour full of fun and learning.
