Welcome to Faroe Islands

I couldn't recommend the tour more--a friend had recommended it to me. Our delightful guide, local Jens Peter drove us about on a very wet and windy day, but he managed to follow the eye of the storm most of the time, which meant we were still able to get out to wander about and take photographs etc. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of this spectacular, very special part of the world, and answered all our questions. One of the many highlights was lunch at Fiskastykkið, an old fish-drying warehouse, and now a really beautiful restaurant with local-sourced produce. Thank you, Jens Peter, for the perfect introduction to your beautiful country.

I had a wonderful tour led by Elsa Maria. She was extremely knowledgeable about every part of the Faroe Islands we visited and also a gifted storyteller. The day was well-paced with a good balance between time spent in each place and sites visited. I really can’t think of a better way to see the Faroe Islands!

This dinner in Toftir was hands-down the highlight of our Faroe Islands trip!

From the very start, we were blown away by the kindness and generosity of Jens and Rigmor. The weather wasn’t great, and they went out of their way to help us get there safely — which made us feel so welcomed before the night even began.

The whole evening was filled with laughter, stories, and the coziest, most welcoming energy. Jens shared a personal story or memory with each dish, which made the meal feel so special and meaningful. The food itself was authentic Faroese cuisine which felt like an honor to experience in their home and with a family that’s been on the islands for generations.

Jens is a total adventurer, Rigmor is his hilarious and perfect counterpart, and her cooking had us leaving completely stuffed. Every course comforting, delicious, and made with much love.

If you’re looking for a truly unique experience that gives you a real peek into Faroese living and hospitality, we cannot recommend this enough. We’ll 100% be back again — thank you Jens and Rigmor for such a magical night!!!

Had a great day with Johan. Learnt lots of new things and totally loved the wild weather of the Faroe Islands. Would recommend this tour. Covers a lot of interesting sights with a bit of time to stretch your legs and time to enjoy the scenery in a comfy vehicle.

I had a wonderful trip to the Faroe Islands thanks to the wonderful guide Tummas. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with him. Throughout the journey, I learned so much about Faroese history, culture, and folklore, all while experiencing some of the most amazing scenery and charming villages. We completed two incredible hikes - Lake Leitisvatn and Hvíthamar - both of which were absolute highlights. Tummas was also very flexible, adjusting the itinerary and daily schedule based on the weather. This made a huge difference, as it allowed us to fully explore all four islands without battling heavy rain, ensuring we experienced each location at its best. It was truly spectacular exploring each of the islands, and I could not recommend this package enough for anyone who is looking to explore and experience the Faroe Islands!

Nous avons fait les 2 excursions. Celle du nord ouest et nord est. Les deux étaient excellentes et magnifiques. Des paysages a couper le souffle a chaque tour. Un très grand remerciement pour Elsa Maria (natif des iles) elle a su nous faire découvrir les Féroés avec l'amour de son pays , plein d'anecdotes et de fun. I took 3 tours with this company and could not be happier! Jens Peter is an excellent guide. Pictures don't do Faroese nature justice. What I appreciated the most were the personal touches like serving us coffee and cookies on a cold fall day or calling the local agency so I can switch my tour. The tour covers a lot but you never feel rushed and are given plenty of time at each stop. A big thank you :)

Heðin was a very pleasent guide and answered all our questions. The food-stops are a mix of a bright variety of dishes, with an emphasis on local produced food and small independent business - but not necessarily traditional faroese food. So you get a feeling about what faroese people in their day to day life. Would definitely recommend.

It was a wonderful experience. The sauna master was kind, energetic and paid attention to us in order to go everything right. After the 9 pouring, we really felt reborn. We absolutely recommend it to everyone (without cardiovascular disease of course), and it is good, if it is planned in the beginning of the vacation, because after it, you will bear the cold weather better.

We had a great experience with Jóhan, our tour guide yesterday. He was informative, punctual, and generally pleasant throughout the entire tour. What we appreciated most was his willingness to share an unfiltered, real point of view of the Faroe Islands—offering honest insights, local perspectives, and the realities of life there beyond the typical tourist narrative. His knowledge added real depth to the experience, and his friendly demeanor made the day even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated his professionalism and would happily recommend him to others.
