I booked this tour for the day after my partner and I arrived in the Faroe Islands. We were navigating severe jetlag but still wanted some light activity on our first day in Torshavn without too much logistic stress, and Jens' hiking beer tour was perfect! Jens was an excellent communicator and sent clear directions on where and when to meet, as well as what to wear. As we traveled to the trailhead, he was very helpful in explaining the bus system and how to utilize it to get around the Islands. On the trail, Jens was super easy to talk to and we had a great time hiking as well as chatting about Faroese culture, the logistics of Faroese government, and Faroese history. The hike, of course, was beautiful, complete with excellent views (weather dependent) and even a cow sighting! Jens was able to accommodate by alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as Faroese snacks for the hike, which made the time go by easily. All in all, if you're looking for an introduction to the Faroe Islands, Jens is your man! Takk fyri, Jens!

Do this! We had limited time in his wonderful region and booked a tour, it was wonderful.
I’ve been on tours that were ok but not personal, this was the opposite, Elsa grew up here and gave us snippets of how things were, and are. She was very interactive and fun, took photos of us and answered our questions freely.
I feel we got the best, most informative and fun experience we could have had, thank you Elsa, you’re a star!! We’re leaving the fabulous Faroes today, but hope to come back again.

Not worth the price you would be better off with a different tour company you are dropped off and left to long with not enough to do

This tour was absolutely amazing; definitely worth the money, not needing to take our rental car on the ferry and drive through the very, very small tunnels on our own!! Our driver was great and got us to where we needed to be. He was careful and cautious, especially through the tunnels! Our guide up to the lighthouse was just the best (sorry, I just can't remember his name). It was so great to learn things about the magical Faroe Islands from a local, who's been there all of his life. He was so patient with everyone in our group making the climb, answering questions and just being so fun and personable! The hike up wasn't bad at all and the views from the top...something to behold! And...we had a rainbow for a good part of the hike, so that added to the beauty of the whole experience. Lastly, love the sheep!! Thank you for a wonderful tour experience!

Absolute a must do when you want to know more about the country besides the beautiful nature. Our guide Jens guided us during our first evening in Tørshaven so we immediately knew every building for the next days during our stay. He can answer every question you have and has some very nice insights.

I highly recommend taking this tour! It was very interesting and enjoyable. Tour guide was very kind and friendly. Well organized and on time pickup and drop off at our hotel. The sites and beauty of the Faroe Islands was on full display. You will not be disappointed! Jens Petars was like traveling with a good friend. I would recommend any tour he was leading. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

The boat tour was good, we did a small round to 2 photo spots. We were even lucky and saw a small whale, the guides stopped briefly then.

For the second part you are dropped off on the island, where you have free access except for a few exceptions.

However, you only have about 50 minutes on the island, which I find far too little. Just hiking to the spots alone takes a lot of time, so you are rather in a hurry and can't fully enjoy it.

Nevertheless, you have a great view.

Still recommendable, you should just keep in mind that you only have 50 minutes on the island to hike and take your photos - you have to be quick to photograph all the spots.

The boat tour was good.
The guide was very nice and helpful.
We went to several photo spots and everyone had the chance to take pictures.

You get a full-body rain/wind suit on site.

I would have liked the guide to share a bit of historical background at the photo spots (dates, facts, etc.).

The group size was appropriate. The price was okay.

Otherwise recommendable.

Fun, informative tour with amazing views. Our guide and captain were both very friendly people. They also provide you with thick wind/water proof clothing, so you won’t feel cold, especially outside the summer months.

Elsa and Jens are the absolute best tour guides in the Faroes! Not only did we see so many beautiful sites, but we were told so many stories about this beautiful country. They are so informative and extremely proud of being Faroese and it comes through in this experience. We felt extremely welcome the entire time and especially enjoyed the break where we got amazing coffee and a shot of aquavit! More than being in great hands, what made this experience the best was by the time we had to say goodbye, my wife and I felt sad that we were leaving these amazing people. By the end of 8 hours, it felt like we were a part of their family and that says so much about how genuine and lovely Elsa and Jens are. 10/10 would do it again and again!!

Our guide was very pleasant and shared wonderful insights into the city and local culture. Unfortunately, the food tour itself was quite a disappointment and did not meet our expectations for a local culinary experience. While it started well with delicious homemade dry-fermented lamb on bread, the rest of the stops felt mismatched—featuring sweet scones, chocolate, ice cream, and smoked salmon. We had hoped for a more authentic showcase of traditional local flavours. The tour concluded with some local beer.

Great tour to Dunnesdrangar!
The guide was very nice, helpful and informative. For the mixed group (young & old) there were enough small breaks. At the viewpoint you have plenty of time for photos without any time pressure. €60 is totally fine for the Faroes and you support the locals - since it's private land, having a guide makes perfect sense. Apparently, if the weather is bad / no visibility, there is even a guarantee to join a second time. A clear must-see & highly recommended!

The Faroes are fantastic, such scenery, such welcoming people. The biggest problem was the lack of detail in the itinerary which meant we had very little idea of what we were going to see. One liners just dont cut it. There were also glaring omissions of historical sites .
