Jump onboard a traditional Faroese boat and explore the capital Tórshavn from the seaside. This harbour round trip is done in an eco-friendly electrical boat which will reduce your carbon footprint on your Faroe Islands holiday.

The experienced captain will sail you to the red turf roofed buildings Tinganes home to the Prime Minister’s Office and other government institutions. From there you will head to the Sandagerð beach and finally you will sail along the undisturbed coastline south of the Argir district.

When you reach the seaside outside at Argir, you will be rewarded with peaceful nature. Small waterfalls will drop into the ocean here and expect to see exciting wildlife. Even though you are just outside the capital, you will find yourself in tranquil settings and experience an undisturbed moment near the Streymoy island. 

As this is an electric boat, there is no noice at all so you will only hear the ripples whilst sailing with no rush just outside the capital. You will stay near the harbour area all the time so the tour can be done by everyone as the tour is not weather dependent. The boat has a cosy indoor area where you can shelter from any weather elements that you should want to avoid.

This tour gives you access to the Faroese boat heritage in a zero-emission and soundless vessel. You will join an unpolluting and environmentally friendly trip that contributes to green living in the Faroe Islands.

The boat departs from the marina in Tórshavn several times a day. The captain will greet you super close to the Tinganes Peninsula where the red painted Prime Minister’s Office is located. This is a small group tour and there are 12 seats available on the boat.

The Faroese boat derives directly from the Vikings and is the perfect place to watch seabirds and more. If you are lucky, you might get a glimpse of seals swimming along the seaside. There are lots of great photo opportunities of the scenery and wildlife on this one hour boat sightseeing tour.
