Experience the towering Dunnesdrangar rock pillar far away from the crowd. This remarkable free-standing sea stack will take your breath away. Enjoy sitting in the grass at a safe distance from the cliff's edge and just soak in the splendid surroundings.

The adventure begins in the village Sørvágur on Vágar Island. Your local tour guide will greet you outside the kindergarten 'Alvalon' in the village Sørvágur. The exact meeting point is sent to you in the voucher upon booking.

Leave your car at a free parking lot next to the kindergarten. From here your guide will take you into the unspoiled nature and ensure that every moment spent here leaves you in awe of the place.

The hike is really easy, yet unforgettable. You will hike through an enchanting landscape, unravelling its secrets. Leave behind the noise of the urban world and let the serenity of nature envelop your senses. As you walk in the beautiful surroundings, feel the fresh air and brace the elements. Each moment spent on this hike is a perfect opportunity to connect with the untouched beauty around you.

As you follow the grassy path, your footsteps harmonise with the rhythmic symphony of nature, each step leading you closer to the incredible scenery that awaits. After about an hour, the panorama unfolds before your eyes like a grand reveal orchestrated by nature itself. The views are unlike anything you have ever witnessed.

Two magnificent sea stacks emerge from the depths of the sea, rising majestically. You will witness the endless dance between the crashing waves and the unique rocks while the birds gracefully glide beneath and above. The sky blends seamlessly with the water in the horizon, painting the sky with sea bird’s elegant flights. It is the perfect place to fully recharge in nature.

Dunnesdrangar is a place of rest with no other travellers around. This small group tour (less than 15 people) is your chance to explore the nature attraction for yourself accompanied by your experienced local tour guide fluent in English.

It is a good idea to bring some snacks for the tour as well as a bottle of water. This - together with the unbelievable nature - will keep you energised at all times.

The female guide Sissel was e excellent guide which takes you safely to places which are difficult to reach or you otherwise don’t have seen. Especially the extra bonus hike to a place where you can have a beautiful view over the nature was actually the highlight of the tour. The only thing and thats something which see can do about is that you have take the bus not at the platform in Tórshavn but at SMS, Tórshavn 100, Faeröer. I didn’t know ask a local and really have to run otherwise I would miss the bus and the whole tour. The bus don’t drive often, after around 2 hours. This is not stated everywhere and I suggest to the travel agency to made people aware of it when coming from Tórshavn. From the point the guide takes you to the start of the hike you have to get wit car a smal. You can go with car with the guide, which is totally fine for me. This is also not stated and even people with car coming don’t know, maybe also something to let the people know as information that they know what to expect. That’s why one star less otherwise because of the guide and hike/sightseeings it would be 5 stars.

We had beautiful weather and enjoyed the walk immensely. The guide was friendly and led us effectively to some great points from which to view the cliffs. At the suggestion of one of the walkers the guide led us safely up to a magnificent high point, which I would suggest be included everytime conditions allow. It would add to the experience, for us at least, if the guide provided more local knowledge, such as identifying the various islands we could see in the distance, the geological processes that have created the sea stacks, perhaps some information on the birds. Overall a great hike which we enjoyed immensely.

We enjoyed the tour very much! It was an exceptional experience with stunning views of the coastline!
Our guide knew the area very well showing us spots we wouldn´t have been able to find by ourselves.
According to your information it is an “easy hike”. I think you should better rate it as “intermediate”, since some of our tour members obviously had some difficulties with the hike.

Beautiful, but rained the whole time. Super foggy and couldn’t see much. The hike was moderate to difficult I would say. The muddy ground didn’t help

David the guide was excellent. I know the hike is Faroese easy but it’s definitely moderate for me. David made sure to stop and tell stories along the way (and so that some of us could breathe). I can see why some of these hikes are by guide only now, and I strongly recommend this for the safety of tourists and from tourists. Perfect weather that I even got a mild sunburn. Beautiful scenery!

Amazing hike and views. Very experienced, friendly, talkative guide who showed us everything and introduced us to Faroese culture. Would recommend 100%.Its a unique experience which makes you feel welcomed in the culture and vibe of the islands, if there is one guided tour to go its this one and its value looking back at it i would gladly pay more .

This was the most exhilarating and intimate encounter we had with Faroese nature over our 9-day stay. Spectacular views, easy/moderate hike, no other hikers (real tranquility), knowledgeable and wry guide.

Dunnesdrangar hike turn out to be the most memorable hike in our trip in its beauty. There was no official path to the destination. Therefore, our guide was very helpful finding the best way possible to get to the Dunnesdrangar safely. Hike was a moderate challenge given the off-road walk in nature. However, even our senior friend made it to the end thanks to the good guiding. Also, “Guide to Faroe Islands” team and the guides gave us update prior to the hike. They were all attentive and responsive including follow ups. I highly recommend this hike to all people interested in the hidden beauty of Faroe Islands.

The tour for Dunnesdrangar was amazing, the hike itself was beautiful and the destination was breathtaking, (although a little scary).
