This six hour private escorted day trip with a local guide takes you by car to esteemed attractions on Streymoy Island and Eysturoy Island. You will be picked up anywhere on Streymoy Island. Pickup can be at any AirBnb on Streymoy Island or from one of the hotels in the capital, Tórshavn. Once picked up, simply relax and enjoy the view as you slide along waterfalls and narrow roads to a necklace of outstanding attractions.

On your way to the beautiful Saksun, your local guide will stop by his plot of land on the island. Here you will greet his sheep. Further afield, you will see the spectacular road winding its way through the valley and with steep mountains making everything incredibly picturesque. 

When in Saksun, soak in the stunning tidal lagoon and the small houses nestled in this deep valley with steep mountains all around it. Now you will head to the the remote settlement Tjørnuvík. 

From Tjørnuvík you will continue to Funningur and from there to the scenic hamlet Gjógv nestled in a beautiful valley. You will be rewarded with spectacular views. This settlement is a must-see place for everyone visiting the Faroe Islands. Grab the chance and walk either down the stairs into the famous deep ravine in Gjógv or walk along the edge to get a spectacular view of both the gorge and the village. 

Finally, you will drive by Slættaratindur the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands and stop by the village of Eiði with the famous football pitch close to the salty North Atlantic ocean. Near the mounatin pass Eiðisskarð, you will be rewarded with a great view of the sea stacks Risin & Kellingin.
