This full-day tour begins with pickup in Tórshavn in the morning. Pickup at hotels only. After a scenic drive along the rugged coastline, you will reach the northernmost islands in the archipelago.
There are several stops along the way to take in the sights and snap some unforgettable photos. The local guide will also tell you untold stories of the history as you approach Kalsoy Island on a ferry departing from Klaksvík. What makes this tour special is the small size of the group and the knowledgeable guide who will point out unique features of the landscape that you might miss on your own.
On Kalsoy Island, you will explore the village of Trøllanes. You can opt for a hike to Kallur Lighthouse if you are up for it. Wonderful tour and I had a great time! I would recommend wearing hiking boots with good traction (and bringing hiking poles) if you plan to do the hike to the lighthouse – it’s quite steep, with narrow paths, and is very muddy, but the view at the end is worth every second of it!

A very wonderful tour that at first seemed a little expensive, but the Faroe Islands is expensive, and the tour was overall 12 hours and the guides were most excellent and at the ‘top of their game’ as we say in English. Randi Meitil was superb – knowledgable, friendly – we could not have hoped for better. Daniel from Britain was good too – and was able to add an ‘outsider’s’ view of Faroe.
Please can you send this to Randi to confirm the English word that we were talking about – the word for the kind of crossing to Kunoy and Viðoy – CAUSEWAY.
Maybe think about 10 minutes stop in Klaksvik for the bookshop and the home-made craft shop.
One last thing – you guys in the tour operator bussiness are not good at answering emails:) Outside the ‘land of maybe’ most people expect to get a reply to a business email within 2 days:) 🙂 Hello – Jogvan and Mikell!!

I highly recommend this tour. Randi (guide) and Daniel (driver) are fantastic. Randi told us lots of stories and legends about the country and we could see lots of amazing places in the tour, apart from doing the hike to Kallur lighthouse. I would do it again without a second thought, it was worth every penny. Thank you for an unforgettable day in the Faroe islands.

This was a great day out. Jógvan (guide) was very knowledgable, and an excellent host, regaling us with lots of history and some myths as we went around. Most of the day was spent on Kalsoy. The hike to Kalsoy lighthouse was fantastic, and the other Jógvan (hike leader) was friendly, humorous and unflappable. They have their own AirBnB on the island, which (when not being rented) was a good base for packed lunch and for puffin spotting. At the end of the day we drove to Vidareidi on Vidoy (my keyboard doesn’t have the correct d), and while the village is fairly forgettable, the scenery on Vidoy and the views to other islands were all lovely. Definitely worth doing this tour.

Bergur was a great and patient guide. The hike was a bit done in by fog but it felt manageable and it was nice to take different routes up and down. Bergur also made arrangements for my father to enjoy a different tour rather than attempt the hike.
I also appreciated the emailed tip about not solely relying on the single bathroom at Kalsoy. Wish everyone on my tour had seen it so we could have started our hike sooner. But really if that is my only quibble, it means it was a great day!
