Explore the Northern Islands – A Scenic Day Tour

Join this breathtaking day tour to the stunning Northern Islands of the Faroe Islands. Your journey begins with pickup in Tórshavn in the morning. From there you will head to Klaksvík, the second-largest town in the Faroe Islands, often called the capital of fisheries. Nestled between majestic, steep mountains, Klaksvík offers incredible natural beauty. From here, we’ll take a short hike to the top of Klakkur Mountain Ridge, where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of Kalsoy Island, Kunoy Island, Eysturoy Island, and Borðoy Island – a true feast for the eyes and the camera.

Next, we’ll head north to the picturesque village of Viðareiði, the northernmost settlement in the Faroe Islands. The drive alone is spectacular, with dramatic landscapes unfolding around every bend. Once there, you’ll cross the causeway to Viðoy Island and visit the iconic Viðareiði church, beautifully set against towering mountains and the open sea.

If time allows, we may continue across the old stone bridge to the peaceful Kunoy Island. The village of Kunoy is a hidden gem with magnificent views over Kalsoy. Here, you can enjoy a relaxing stroll, sip a warm cup of tea or coffee, and breathe in the fresh, crisp air while listening to the soothing sounds of wind, rivers, sheep, and seabirds.
