This tour was an excellent way to see the birds and interesting geology of Hestur Island. Our tour needed to be rescheduled due to motor maintenance and the captain was very helpful in rescheduling us for another tour during our time in the Faroe Islands. The boat holds about 10 passengers and there are only two seats per row, so everyone gets a great view. In areas with a lot of birds, the captain was great about rotating the boat so everyone could see. I would happily join this tour again and/or look for others with the same captain when we return to the Faroe Islands.

Trods lidt tvivlsomt vejr kom vi på vandet (vi blev tilbudt at udskyde). Vi er vildt glade for vi bare tog afsted.
Vores skipper fortalte gode historier og spillede fed nordisk musik. Det var en tur til Nolsoy hvor vi så sæler, masser fugle og Lunder. Fuld fart og Týr (færøsk metal) på anlægget samt vildt vejr gjorde turen super fed autentisk. Fuld plade herfra. Tusind tak!

Probably the highlight of my trip to the Faroe Islands! This was such an incredible experience. Without wanting to spoil too much, there seemed to have gone quite some thought into making this an unforgettable experience. Our guides/captains were fantastic with great knowledge of the history and landscape and we felt super safe and entertained the whole way.
I’ve never been in such a fast moving boat, it was truly thrilling and the sea was a bit “rowdy”, as one of the guys called it, which made for a very fun ride. It was luckily not too rowdy to get close to the cliffs and go into the caves, so it was a wonderful tour I would absolutely recommend and try again.

It was a great experience, due to the weather we did not ride to Hestur, but to Nolsoy. This was great as well! We saw seals, puffins and loads of other birds.
Our Gide told a lot out Nolsay and it’s stories. Even had music on board which completed the trip.

We were supposed to go on this tour, but due to the windy weather, the plans changed the day before. However, the communication about the changes were very clear and friendly. The tour, we went on instead, was outstanding. We laughed so much and got to sing as loud as we could in the caves. I’d recommend this tour to everyone who wants to explore the west side on the islands from sea side. It was definitely one for the books!

Probably the coolest thing I did here. The guide is amazing with the boat going fast and doing crazy turns but still making you feel safe and secure. Going into the caves and being right under cliffs was something like I had never experienced. Definitely recommend doing this and it is well worth the money!

Luckily, I received a text message about the new options for the tour just as I got to the hotel. I quickly drove to the port and joined the earlier tour. We went to Nolsoy instead of Hestur due to weather predictions for later in the day. The captain welcomed everyone, and gave us our warm suits and life jackets. He went across the waves at high speed, which was a lot of fun! We had beautiful views all around Nolsoy and saw the lighthouse and a lot of birds including puffins. We also saw a few seals. It was magical going into some of the caves with the boat, which was an advantage of being on a small boat. The captain also told us a few local stories which were interesting. We zoomed back to the port and everyone was smiling.

Our Hestur trip had a change of location and instead we went around Nolsoy as the winds prevented a safe tour to Hestur. We were pleased with the substitution and would have been disappointed to have the tour cancelled. The tour was amazing with great bird watching, a curious seal, spectacular views and ended with a thrilling bit of speed that had us all excited and laughing. I have been calling the Faroe Islands my happy place.

This was the first and one of the BEST things we did in Faroe islands. So exciting and educational at the same time. The driver really knows how to work the boat safely when the waves and wind are high. The puffin sightings were incredible, we saw a seal too. Most beautiful water and caves!! And the end was the best, he played a beautiful song by Eivor (Faroese singer) in the sea cave. Her voice is incredible with the acoustics in the cave. Last Kingdom fans will probably shed a tear or two ;).

( vi er godt båtvante i utgangspunktet) Damen på kaia var også meget hyggelig og hjelpsom. Skulle det være noe å sette fingeren på, måtte det være at vi som satt fremst i båten ikke hørte hva som ble fortalt om aktuelle sted. We had a fantastic time on the boat tour! I was a little nervous at first as it is intimidating to put on the safety gear and get into the rib boat. However, the ride was super fun. It was marvellous – unfortunately we coudn’t go to Hestur as plannes because of the weather, but the boat guide took us instead for a tour around Nolsoy and it was amazing anyway 🙂 We saw lots of birds and some caves, so even thoug it was cold and rainy, we had fun! And then the guide even gave us a ride to Torshavn so we didn’t need to wait for the next bus – it was really cool 🙂

The trip was amazing! We saw lots of puffins and other birds, and we got a bit of adrenaline as well. Thanks to the warm clothes we got, it was comfortable even though the wind was quite strong. Our guide was sooo helpful (he even gave us a ride back to Torshavn) and as a local he knew and shared lots of informations about Faroe Islands and the nature there. Absolutely worth booking! The trip is also ideal to take together with a visit to the church and ruins in Kirkjubøur as it’s only a kilometre away from the meeting point.

I absolutely enjoyed the Rib tour to Hestur! It was one of the (many) highlights of my stay in the Faroe Islands. I loved the fact that the full potential of the rib was used: both to get us close to the shore and inside some of the sea caves, and to have us experience it’s high speed (and ability to make sharp turns!). I enjoyed the magnificent sights, was glad that we were always given plenty of time to take photographs and always felt secure and in good hands. The guide was very welcoming, kind and helpful.
