When travelling to the meeting point in bus, take the public bus route 650 from Tórshavn. The bus departs from the bus terminal by the harbour in Tórshavn and will drive you to Gamlarætt Ferry Port. The bus ride takes 20 minutes. Bus ticket price: 6 USD
Is there a parking area near the port?
Yes, there is free parking right next to where the boat tour starts at Gamlarætt Ferry Port.
Can I wait inside a place when arriving early? There is a small white building at the Gamlarætt Ferry Port where you can stay while waiting for the boat. It’s warm inside, with benches to sit on, two toilets, and drinking water available from the tap—a comfortable place to wait when arriving early.
Where will the bus stop when taking the bus to the port?
The bus stops right in front of the white building, so you’ll get off at the correct spot when you reach the ferry port.

Basically I gave this tour 2 stars instead of one because we left on time and returned alive. This tour company (Rib62) must be one of the worst on the island. I booked the trip the night before, and within 30 minutes they sent an email saying conditions on that side of the island were unsafe for a boat excursion. This is totally understandable and common for these kinds of trip, but it does mean that the company knew the excursion couldn’t be made and sold me a ticket anyways. They said that the excursion had been switched to go to a different part of the island and that they wouldn’t offer a refund or even allow me to switch dates to one in which weather conditions might be more favorable. That was definitely frustrating, since a major reason I had booked the tour was to see the world’s largest sea cave, and that was no longer the tour we’d be going on. Beyond that, the trip was a very steep 700 DKK ($110 US) per person. The “guides” were also really lacking on the entire 90 minute trip, the two men driving spoke roughly three times. Mostly they would just pull over near a place to watch birds and sit for a few minutes.
In short, seeing the cliffs along the coast of the islands was stunning because the Faroes are a beautiful place with breathtaking views to be found everywhere, but if you want a tour with helpful, informative guides and a shred of customer service, look elsewhere.

A fantastic experience, far beyond my expectations!
You can enjoy the local wildlife, spot different bird species, and admire impressive cliffs, rocks in various shapes and colors, and silent caves filled with mist. Absolutely breathtaking. The silence and echo inside the caves, as you pass right through them-it all leaves you speechless.
The boat ride itself is super fun, especially on the way back to the main island when the captain hit full speed and we were all screaming with excitement, flying through the curves! We had an absolute blast! By far the best experience in the Faroe Islands!

This tour was an absolute highlight on our week long tour of the Faroe Islands. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather which helped elevate an already wonderful experience. The captain was incredibly knowledgeable and struck a perfect balance of fun, safety and information. Without giving anything away, exploring the sea caves was an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend booking this tour.
