Tenley –
Petra is a lovely lady. She welcomed us into her home for about 45 minutes, where she served us tea, chocolate milk for my daughter, and treats. She told us about her life and her town, and answered questions. She explained the importance of chain dancing and sang us a Kingo song. (She is a talented singer who has sang at Carnegie Hall in NYC.) Then she took us for a stroll through her town to show us some of the sites she had talked about, including the hydropower plant, village river and its wading area, the Viking settlement, and the cemetery. It was like having an in-person “Ask Me Anything” for the Faroes.
