Next, you will head to Múlafossur Waterfall. This natural attraction is a signature feature of the Faroe Islands. Even though we were there in September, we had very good weather when we did the boat tour to Drangarnir. You don’t only go to Drangarnir but also to the waterfalls, Tindholmur and all the other places in the surrounding. It was an absolutely amazing experience which we won’t ever forget. We spent a gourgeous hour on the speed boat with interesting explanations by our guide. The landscape is simply breathtaking. We had enjoyed the view on Drangarnir from the trekking path from Bøur to Gasadalur the day before; nevertheless from the sea it’s a different experience, plus we were eventually among plenty of cute puffins and other birds.

An amazing tour! Definitely worth it. We went close to the cliffs, waterfall and even the caves. We saw a seal, puffins and birds on the water and in their nests. The guide had sharp eyes and pointed them out to us. Many photo opportunities. It can get abit bumpy and windy at times but nothing extreme.
We were super lucky to see a small pod of 2-3 whales!!!!!! They said its their first time seeing whales with tourists on a boat. Extremely grateful to behold such a sight. We kept a distance from them and had many opportunities to take photos.

The guide was a colourful character and kept us entertained with some stories about the Faroes. The trip was great, although be prepared to get wet as the sea can be choppy (bring your own wet weather gear). We saw seals and puffins and a few sheep living on a lonely island. Overall it was value for money and a good experience.
