    I was looking forward to this trek. There was however a last minute change of departure timing, which meant I was unable to join. I understand this would probably have been unforeseeable.

    Excellent tour done with Irdi. It eas one of the best tours (in my top 5) I have done so far in Faroes Islands. Because no much tourists comes in that area, it makes it extra special. Actually I was the first visitor this year doing a guided tour with her and that’s extra cool 😉 I recommend this to everyone who wants to do more then the standard tours. The hike itself, the beautiful sightseeings and nature surroundings during the hike and when you reach the top with a magnificent view… Thanks again for the great day 😉

    It was a beautiful hike through a magical landscape, exploring history, marveling at history and learning stories.

    The final stop was a waterfall that, in terms of its appearance, doesn’t need to hide from the other waterfalls that are supposedly hotspots.

    The Classic 7 Hour Northern Islands Tour was absolutely amazing and breathtaking. Irdi is a great guide and very diligent in giving insights from the locals. Also, she is very attentive and organized.
    The tour did not seem to be 7 hours because the time flies while being the surroundings of this beautiful archipelago.
    Totally recommend this tour!

This was a very comfortable tour, I saw places I wouldn’t have gotten to by myself, with several stops at great viewing points, and I also learnt a lot about the Northern Isles and the Faroe Islands in general.     Going on this tour was an incredible experience that blended breathtaking views with fascinating stories about the culture, all led by a local guide deeply rooted in the Northern Isles. Irdi was very knowledgeable, always there to answer our questions while also showing genuine interest in us and our countries. We started our day with a convenient hotel pickup in Tórshavn, quickly finding ourselves driving through sub-sea tunnels and along narrow roads, surrounded by landscapes where sheep roam freely and nature’s beauty unfolds at every turn. Covering three distinct islands, this tour offered a tapestry of stunning views and unique experiences. The opportunity for short walks allowed us to truly immerse ourselves in the pristine environment, feeling the land beneath our feet and the fresh North Atlantic air in our lungs. Along the way, we were offered a small refreshment, and on our journey back, we stopped at a local bakery for lunch. This tour is a must-do for anyone looking to explore the essence of the Northern Isles with comfort, joy, and awe.

    Irdi was a fantastic guide! She took me and another solo traveler to see absolutely stunning scenery in the Northern Isles. It was an amazing experience to see places I wouldn’t have made it to on my own and to learn so much from Irdi about the Faroe Islands and the Northern Isles in particular. She has a wealth of knowledge of Faroese history, culture, geology, the economy, and more. The tour included a stop at a local bakery for lunch, where the fish and chips were very tasty.     On this tour, we discovered the best spots in the northern islands, all in one day! This was the perfect day for someone like me with very limited time on the Faroe Islands.

    I was amazed by the outstanding Faroese fauna, flora, and landscapes that change every second due to the unique weather that varies constantly.

    Our tour guide, Irdi, made this experience even better by sharing interesting facts and perks about Faroese daily life. Additionally, I learned about Faroese ancient stories, myths, and beliefs. I’m inspired by the hope and tenacity that Faroese demonstrate every single day!

    All tour details were well planned, including the breaks that allowed us to enjoy the comforting feeling of a warm cup of tea on a spring day, accompanied by delicious snacks.

    And, to make it even better, Irdi showed us photos that she had taken from the very same places that we visited on days with different weather. The landscapes looked like completely different places!

    In conclusion, this tour exceeded all my expectations!

    The Northern Isles have its own unique charm. Experience with Ms Irdi was superb starting with an email confirmation of the pick-up time, sharing with us the geography, history of various villages and the local (northern isles) unique culture and tradition.     Due to scheduling, we only had 2 people plus the guide Idri. This allowed lots of informative conversation as we journeyed through the various islands. Idri is very knowledgeable about the area and she knew the special places off the beaten track. She took extra time to do so and also allowed us time to experience the various stops. The only issue we had was with the lunch. Instead of a picnic we ended up at a nice cafe due to the fact that I was vegetarian, a rarity for the Faroese. The cost was covered just the same.
    I highly recommend this tour and this guide.

    The tour to the Northern Islands was fantastic. My guide was Irdi who took me even though I was the only person on the tour. The islands are very beautiful and slightly different from the middle islands. The scenery was rugged and it was interesting to see so many of the smaller villages off the main roads. I learnt so much about the history and culture of the people. Irdi was extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable. I would highly recommend this tour.

    Irdi was amazing! She tailored this tour to our family (we have two children ages 5 and 7). The weather was amazing so we took more time at our stops to walk around and explore. Irdi is super knowledgeable and answered our many questions. We enjoyed our coffee and tea break (she even brought juice for the kids – and Haribo!). This was a great way to see the northern islands and get a better understanding of the culture and history. It set us up for success for the rest of our trip. I highly recommend booking this tour!

    The Classic Northern Isles Tour was truly impressive. Irdi guided me through Borðoy, Kunoy, and Viðoy — three of the enchanting Northern Islands.     Before we went on this tour, we had taken the 7 hour “See It All” tour, 1.5 hour Sea Cliff boat tour and the Drangarnir Sea Arch boat tour. We thought that the scenery in the Northern Islands could not get any better. But Pauli Petersen proved us wrong. The sights that he took us to were stunning. During the tour we also talked about many aspects of life on Faroe Islands. So glad that we did this tour! Highly recommend it!

    Great tour with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide! We learned a lot of interesting facts about the local culture, the fishing industry, tunnel infrastructure and saw – at least from a distance for the smallest ones – all of the northern islands. We made frequent stops at scenic spots and important settlements on the islands. I highly recommend this tour with Irdi.

    It was a beautiful tour through the metropolis of klaksvik and the small, dreamy villages of the northern islands.

    We stopped in the towns, strolled through the streets, and there was plenty of time to enjoy the views and fill the photo book.

    And as a very emotional highlight at the end of the tour, a door that was supposed to be locked suddenly opened and revealed a clue to a riddle from 1551 that was waiting to be discovered.
