Pól Skarðenni is a local artist offering travellers to paint the Faroe Islands. Tours are made to top attractions and unknown places around the archipelago. You will discover and experience places with a paintbrush in your hand.
This is sightseeing and a creative immersion in some of Europe's most amazing landscapes. Whether you are an experienced painter or complete beginner, Pól guides you to capture the islands' essence through art. Set up your easel beside the iconic Múlafossur Waterfall in Gásadalur, paint the colourful turf-roofed houses of Elduvík nestled in a mountain valley, or capture the rugged beauty of Tjørnuvík's black sand beach with its legendary sea stacks Risin & Kellingin as a backdrop.
Pól's expertise as both artist and local ensures you will find the perfect light, composition, and perspective. Learn techniques for capturing the ever-changing weather in the Faroe Islands, moody skies, and spectacular Nordic atmosphere. All skill levels are welcome. Pol is a calm and a friendly artist who had plenty of patience with us. I took my mom to Faroe Islands and wanted to do something special and I can promise. It really is! She had not painted 30 years, but Pol made her comfortable to go through the process and we both got a very nice paintings to take with us!
We visited in June and the weather was changing quite a lot between the days and the locations. I advice to take with you extra warm clothing to be sure to be warm when painting and perhaps an old t shirt to put on top to not ruin your expensive wind proof hiking clothes.
We also appreciated that Pol was early to pick us up and helped to find a good place to paint.

Turen med kunstmaleren Pól Skarðenni levede absolut op til mine forventninger. Pól Skarðenni er nem at omgås, hjælpsom og opmuntrende. Han er en sand kunstner, som er vant til at undervise på sin rolige måde.
Turen gik således for sig, vi blev hentetpå vores bopæl. Derefter kørte vi til vort bestemmelsessted, Gåsadalur på Vågø, hvor vi satte staffeliet op, som Pól havde medbragt, vi fik udleveret alt som vi skulle bruge til maleriet. Efter et par timer var kaffe/te pause med et lille måltid. Siden malede vi videre i det skønne landskab og det skønne vejr.
Jeg kan derfor kun anbefale denne tur, som både er for trænede såvel som for utrænede malere. En god oplevelse rigere.
