It was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, everything was well-planned and executed. The captian was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure everyone had a great time. They provided all the necessary equipment and gave us helpful tips, which made the experience enjoyable even for beginners like me.

We’ll put 100 start if possible! It was a great experience, we caught 21 fishes in like an hour! The captain is the just best! The views on the way to the fishing spot are gorgeous! We were so happy to book this trip and catch all the good memories and lots of fishes.

Fishing with Stella was an absolute blast! He made sure everyone, regardless of experience, got involved and had the best shot at a catch.
After we caught our fish, he even helped us fillet and clean it so we could take it home to cook and enjoy.

The boat trip with Niklas was super fun. We were a bit nervous of bad weather (it was end of October) the day prior to the trip, but it changes and was just a bit grey and windy but perfectly fine, even for my 4 year old daughter.
Even though we were beginners, we caught more fish than we could eat and left half of the catch with Niklas. It was a really great experience with some snacks, tea and a little tour at the coast. It has been much fun and it can be highly recommended, even for families with smaller children.

Fishing with Niklas was one of the best experiences I had together with my seven-year-old son during our trip to the Faroe Islands. Niklas was very nice, he explained everything to us, we learned a lot of interesting things not only about fish and fishing, but also about life in the Faroe Islands. I appreciate that he also took care of my son, whom he let drive the boat (under supervision). For people who experienced catching fish at sea for the first time, it was interesting that the first catches were on the rods within minutes of dropping the bait on the seabed. It was a great experience which also included hot tea and other small refreshments. If you prefer a smaller trip and an individual, friendly approach, I highly recommend Niklas and his lovely boat.

I would definitely recommend this fishing tour. The boat was nice and had enough space for both standing and sitting (suitable for 5 people, but it could easily fit more). The captain is a really nice man who offered us rain jackets, life jackets, and something to drink. He is very friendly, even with small children, and is a helpful and experienced fisherman. The tour was a great length; we caught a good amount of fish, and at the end, the captain showed us a beautiful spot around the island. The fish that we have cooked afterwards, tasted great! We even saw small whales. I would definitely recommend taking this fishing tour.

Niklas is a perfect host and very experienced skipper and fisherman. As I was staying in the Tórshavn area, he even picked me up for free with his car and we drove together to the Kaldbacksfjord while having a nice chat. Everything was very well organised and in time, all the fishing gear and (in case of need) additional clothing against rain/wind provided. We were very lucky with the weather, too, as it was a more and more sunny day without much wind. We were three guests and had plenty of space to fish on the yet cozy boat. After a 30 minutes drive into the fjord – during which we also spotted many puffins – we started fishing (classical pirking in about 50m water depth) and it didn’t take long to catch the first haddock. The next two hours kept us busy – except for small breaks during which Niklas offered tea, sweets and beer – and in the end we had almost a box full of haddock, cod, pollack and even herring. All not very large on that day (while Niklas showed pictures to me of catches with very stately size from the same waters) but certainly big enough to be fun and perfect for eating. After heading back, Niklas quickly prepared the fish to filets in a very routinized manner. I took with me more than enough for two people for dinner (it was my last day on the Faroe islands, so I wasn’t able to take even more), together with a simple recipe suggestion from Niklas (which turned out to be very good) and he drove me back home. For me, it was a perfect trip, marking a crowning end of my stay on the islands. Definitely worth the money and highly recommendable, especially if you are staying in the Tórshavn area, don’t want to use an entire day just for fishing and/or are mainly interested in having a nice boat trip while catching fish for a decent meal (or two, three, …) on top. Five stars without any limitation!

Very nice and cozy fishing boat. Captain is very nice and helpful with the fishing, even for us who are not experts, as well as bringing hot and cold refreshments for the trip.
We caught all the fish we could eat, which were very delicious, followed by a sightseeing tour in the area.

We had a lovely experience. In the morning when our trip was planned it was to windy but we kept contact during the day and could finalize our trip at 16.00h. The skipper was absolutely marvelous : a hot tea, a cold beer, some sweets and a very nice scenery. Because of the fierce winds the catch itself was not so good but that’s what fishing is about and in the end we managed to catch several different species.

Six Singaporean ladies, comprising 3 senior citizens, decided to go fishing in Faroe Island. Between us, we had nearly no fishing experience, but Niklas – the Captain – assured us that this would not be an issue. He was adamant that fishing in Faroe Island was very simple; no bait was needed, just a simple fishing line which we lowered with a few pointers. We were sceptical, but followed his instructions all the same, and the results speak for themselves.
A few minutes after we lowered the first fishing line, the first fish was caught. This was followed by a Mackerel, which Niklas said was the first for this Summer. Before the excitement could abate, yet another jiggle of the fishing rod turned out to be too heavy for us to handle, so Niklas had to take over. He skilfully brought in the fish, a huge one weighing at least 5kg. This excitement continued for the next 2 hours, with each member of our party catching at least 2 fish. The harvest was bountiful beyond expectations, comprising 16 big fish.
Throughout the trip, Niklas was very helpful and understanding. He cleaned up the fish, then sent them to our accommodation. We had the fish for our subsequent dinners. The surplus, we gave to our host, much to his delight.
Niklas, we will go fishing with you again when we are back in Faroe Island. Thank you for this memorable fishing trip!

I notoriously never catch fish. But on this trip I caught 4 haddock, a big cod and a ling. And somehow, an enormous starfish. Calm seas, warm sun, cool breeze, great company. Saw whales and a dolphin. Highly recommend.

Niklas is a phenomenal captain. The weather was really bad the day we booked, but he helped us rearrange the time so that we can go fish. We got to fish a bunch of different types of fish and even saw a dolphin right next to our boat! 10/10 would recommend Niklas to anyone wanting to fish at Faroe Islands.

I would highly recommend this boat tour to everyone who is interested in fishing. Me, my son and two others started the journey. The captain was very kind from the start. It was clear from the beginning that he was very keen on us being happy, he did everything to make the journey more pleasurable. He prepared tea and gave beer to those who wished. He knows all the good fishing spots. The four of us caught 37 fish, most of them haddock but a few cod too. We said that we would like to have a few filets and he prepared them for us. He chose all the most desirable fish for us also. Altogether he was a very nice guy and the trip was on of the highlights for us in the island.

Me and my family had a great time on this trip. One of the highlights of our trip to the islands. Niklas was very welcoming and took care of us. He shared a lot about life in Faroe Islands and the ocean which was very interesting.
We caught in total 25 fishes during the trip. As soon as we got to the fishing spot we had action more or less all the time until it was time to get back to the harbor. My five year old son just loved it.
The boat was very nice, solid and stable and perfect for fishing. I have been on guided fishing trips all over the world and this is probably the best one on an overall level. Can warmly recommend it!

After about 45 minutes if travel, with dolphin encounters along the way, we reached the fishing spot and immediately started catching fish. Review for trip in June 2023. We drove ourselves to the boat, which was easy to find in a very small port with only 5 other boats. Niklas, the captain, spoke English (fortunately for us) was easy to reach for communication and arrived on time enthusiastic with all the gear we needed and then some. The cruise up the fjord to the fishing rounds was enjoyable with good weather, seabirds and a nice sitting platform. The boat was clean, smelled like fresh ocean air and was surprisingly quiet, as I think Niklas indicated he had recently replaced the original motor. Niklas was an engaging and knowledgeable host who we enjoyed our time with. Travel time to the fishing grounds was around 30 minutes, so we had plenty of time for fishing, which is how we ended up catching 30+ cod and haddock without losing a single pike. The action started within 5 minutes of arriving and didn’t stop when it was time to head back. Niklas cleaned the fish so by the time we hit the dock we were ready to roll onto our next adventure. We took two of the fish, although you could get them all if you wanted them, which we cooked that evening and they were excellent. Niklas also uses the boat for diving trips, so if you are into wreck diving or other kinds of diving, don’t hesitate to reach out. The three of us would recommend this fishing, boating, traveling experience and would go again in a heartbeat. Super fun.

Niklas, the captain is a great host. He took the three of us on a beautiful ride on the Atlantic Ocean where we and the two Americans caught 33 haddock, cod and whiting. In addition we saw a lot of puffins on a day where we were lucky to experience an absolutely quiet ocean (that does not happen every day). Niklas’ service was impeccable and his tour is strongly recommended.
