Experience the world's largest sea cave! Get close to unspoiled cliffs on Hestur Island from an amazing perspective. This boat tour will take you to one of the most remote locations inhabited only by birds and seals.
You will get close to puffins and other fascinating birds living along the massive cliff wall on Hestur Island. Weather permitting, you will also sail into huge basalt caves. If the sea is calm and the weather good, you will get the unique opportunity to enter the Klæmintsgjógv cave which is the largest grotto in the world.
This is an exciting and thrilling way to experience one of the small islands in the country. You will sail all the way around the island. From the highest point, you will look some 1200 feet up the sheer cliff to the edge where multi-coloured sheep are grassing.
From the ferry port in Gamlarætt outside of Tórshavn, you will go on an adrenaline packed adventure in a high speed rib boat. Your experienced captain will make sure to get you safely to some of the most impressive sights that the Faroe Islands have to offer.
The ferry port in Gamlarætt is only a fifteen minutes drive from the capital. You can either park your car at the harbour in Gamlarætt or take the bus from Tórshavn to the meeting point.
The boat will take you from Streymoy island over the fjord to Hestur within only minutes. Feel the rush and energy when the captain heads towards the stunning scenery in Hestur island.
The solid constructed boat is made for adventure and for the rugged landscapes on Hestur island. You will also see basalt columns as tall as castles. Get a full wildlife experience including nesting seabirds. This is a highly recommended activity by travellers to the Faroe Islands.

A fantastic experience, far beyond my expectations!
You can enjoy the local wildlife, spot different bird species, and admire impressive cliffs, rocks in various shapes and colors, and silent caves filled with mist. Absolutely breathtaking. The silence and echo inside the caves, as you pass right through them-it all leaves you speechless.
The boat ride itself is super fun, especially on the way back to the main island when the captain hit full speed and we were all screaming with excitement, flying through the curves! We had an absolute blast! By far the best experience in the Faroe Islands!

Det var en rigtig flot tur, vi nød hvert et øjeblik. Vi startede i tåge og kunne næsten ikke se øen, men det lettede og vi fik solskin. Fantastisk idé med musik når vi sejledebind i grotterne.

Great adventure !

Excellent trip. The boat got really close to the cliffs, and was small enough to get right in the sea cave and other inlets. Using a rib minimised the travelling time to and from the island, leaving more time there.

This tour was an absolute highlight on our week long tour of the Faroe Islands. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather which helped elevate an already wonderful experience. The captain was incredibly knowledgeable and struck a perfect balance of fun, safety and information. Without giving anything away, exploring the sea caves was an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend booking this tour.

An amazing experience! You will have a short but fast and thrilling ride out to the island, and then a leisurely hour or more to see the birds, the stunning cliffs, and explore the sea caves. The guide is friendly and knowledgeable, and the scenery and wildlife are unbelievable.
