Reserve your seat on a guided tour to the highlights on Vágar island. This fully guided tour will let you experience some of Faroe Islands' true wonders.

Vágar island holds some of the best sights in the whole of Faroe Islands. This tour will take you to the untouched nature on the island Vagar including the two adoring villages Bøur and Gásadalur.

The tour starts with pickup in Tórshavn. Jump on the coach, sit back, and relax.

Now, you will head from Streymoy island to the west to Vágar island. On your way from Streymoy island to Vagar island, you will take the epic mountain route with lots of epic photo opportunities. You will stop for a moment at the Norðradalsskarð mountain pass where you will have a beautiful view of the Koltur island.

The secluded village Gásadalur and the famous Múlafossur waterfall is by all means the highlight of this tour. On your way to Gásadalur, you will stop by the picturesque village Bøur. You will have the change to go for a stroll in this village where most of the houses are grass roofed. From Bøur you will have a fantastic view of the peaky islet Tindhólmur and the rock formation Drangarnir.

Next up is Gásadalur. After seeing the breathtaking Múlafossur waterfall, you will have time to enjoy the small village and grab your packed lunch. Before heading back to Tórshavn, you will visit the village Sandavágur with one of the most beautiful churches in the Faroe Islands.

This tour has it all. Múlafossur waterfall, small villages, and turf roofed houses. At the end of the day, you will be dropped off in Tórshavn outside your hotel or other designated drop-off location at 15:00.

Do you want an extra experience? You can hike independently to Trælanípan as part of this day. This is the famous attraction near Lake Leitisvatn where you will see the 'floating lake'. You can decide if you want to do the hike on the day itself. Just let your tour guide know hours before.

If you go for the optional hike, your guide will take you to the village Miðvágur at 14:00. This is where you will find the hike's trailhead. The hike is super easy and the views out-of-this-world. You will be picked up in Miðvágur at 18:00. With 4 hours on your own, you have all the time in the world to enjoy Trælanípan independently (the hike is 1 hour in each direction). The guide will then drive you to Tórshavn and drop you off at 19:00. This extra service is free of charge. Just let the tour guide know if you want this free extra service while you tour Vágar island.

This has to be my bravest thing I ever did, walking on cliffs with slippery grass without rails could be scary for those afraid of heights, and it is the safest to travel with an experienced guide than going on your own.
Great views takes great risk, that scenery above is taken on the cliff, so brace yourself

The hike is absolutely beautiful and very easy going with a very small gradient. The guide was great for all my tours I booked. I booked group tours and ended up being the only tourist and getting private tours each day!! This was my last tour with them, the lake over the ocean is absolutely stunning, like a optical illusion. The tour guide was also very friendly and easy to get along with and will easily keep you entertained with which ever topic you want to talk about. I booked three tours with him and ended up learning so much more, then just the Faroe Islands when it comes to the tours but we talked about religion, economics, cuisine, politics and so much more regarding the islands. It was a great trip, highly recommend. There is a beautiful place on the cliff to have lunch and see the calm lake over the roaring ocean.

After seeing many pictures of the Faroe Islands, this tour was a fantastic experience to be able to see these sights in person. My guide had great local knowledge of the area and gave interesting insights throughout as a Faroese person. The guide was professional and made the tour an engaging experience. The hike out to Trælanípa was excellent as was seeing the waterfall in Gasadalur, even with grey clouds the views were spectacular. The day was one of the highlights of the trip!

This tour was just amazing! The tour guides were professional and knowledgeable. We got to see the beautiful waterfall and optical illusion lake. Also, there’re some surprises at the end of the tour. I appreciate that and I would say this is a must-do if you ever go to Faroe Islands!
