Our house, built in 1910, has been our family’s property for four generations, is preserved and furnished with original inventory and restored to meet modern standards. We have four double rooms and one single room, bathrooms with shower and Bath-tub, large living room, sitting room and two additional lounges for our guests’ comfort.
We welcome you in our pristine home with a light meal before we take you on a guided hike to the spectacular and wondrous cleft Rituskorð and the iconic bridge there. Back from the hike, we serve dinner, prepared with natural, organic locally bred products, such as fish and mutton.
After dinner, we enjoy the evening and relax in our cosy lounges with homemade cake and a nightcap. This uncrowded place will make sure to give you a stress-free feeling of being far away.
The following morning, we serve breakfast, and we can either take you for a stroll around the village of Hvalba or you can indulge by yourself and find peace, beauty and freedom in the vast, green surroundings, the endless ocean, the sandy beach and the view to the small, uninhabited island of Litli Dímun.
You can either bring your own car and park outside the house or you can take the ferry Smyril from Tórshavn and the bus from Tvøroyri to Hvalba. Once you reach Suðuroy, the bus to Hvalba is waiting on the pier in Tvøroyri and from here it will take you directly to your door in Hvalba where we will be greeting you.

Your host will greet you when you arrive in the ferry from Tórshavn. Your arrival time will varry depending on which day you choose to come to Suðuroy island. We are flexible and will greet you when disembark the ferry.
You will go for a lovely hike to Ásmundarstakkur and Rituskor in the afternoon.
In th eevening, your hostee will serve you a delicious dinner and home baked cake.
