A really great day and an interesting insight into Faroese village and farming life, together with stunning scenery and for Bond fans, an opportunity to see where the final act of No Time To Die was filmed.

Communication prior to the trip was excellent from Joan-Heidi and Noomi was a helpful and informative guide, who met us in Klaksvik before we boarded the ferry to Kalsoy. We were picked up by bus as we arrived, driven expertly by Kalsoy resident Magnus, who took us first to Trøllanes. This small village is in a spectacular valley and where we were met by landowner and farmer Jóhannus. From the village centre, we were then walked to the Kallur lighthouse by both Jóhannus and Noomi who told us about our surroundings, local history and aspects of Faroese life.

Weather in the Faroes is extremely changeable but we were lucky enough to get clear views from the lighthouse and the walk itself is not difficult, although can be muddy in places.

From Trøllanes, we headed to Mikladalur to see the Seal Woman statue having been told of the legend by Noomi en route and where we were able to spend some time enjoying the surroundings before being driven back to catch the return ferry.

Absolutely amazing tour!!! Our driver Magnus navigated us through the crazy tunnels and Jákup our guide to the top had some great stories to tell. It was a tough climb to the top with the path being muddy and slippery, but the scenery on top was well wort the struggle!

Best experience on the Faroe, Noomi and Johansson are very helpful and kind, and the scene was breathtaking!

    Amazing 🙂

Amazing tour! Unfortunately, the fog blocked the view up at the light house but it was still beautiful going up! The guides are so awesome! They shared a lot of great information, kept us safe, and were just very nice ladies! I enjoyed this tour a lot!

This was an incredible experience. The views were breathtaking and meeting the guide after taking the ferry was so easy.

The hike is steep and muddy, but absolutely worth it. The guides, Joan-Heidi and Noni (sp) were very friendly and helpful, as was the driver Magnus. Even with heavy fog, the views were beautiful and the couple running the shop in Mikladalur make everything themselves.

Tour was good but unfortunately there was fog all day. We were not able to see the lighthouse until we were about 100 meters from it. Never could see the ocean or the cliffs. Not the guides fault…sometimes the weather just isn’t in your favor.

Even though the road was very muddy and it was difficult for about a half of our group to get to the lighthouse, the views that opened to us at the end of our road made up for everything. It would be better though to repair the hiking road, me and my brother had to help our mother all the way down by holding her from both sides

Enjoyed the tour, although it started with heavy rain, and I’m very happy we took the tour. Everything went smoothly – nice not having to drive or wait for the local buses and to get a little help in the muddy terrain. Interesting to hear stories from the local people.
