Mykines Shuttle Boat

You will embark the boat by the harbour in the village Sørvágur on Vágar Island. You will then set off from Sørvágur and take a 30 minutes memorable journey by sea. As you get closer to Mykines Island, you will start to see puffins flying in the air and sitting on the pristine North Atlantic ocean. This is just a warm-up to what you will experience later.

Before you embark the boat, the boat crew will sell you the trail admission ticket to the outfileds on Mykines Island if you plan to see the main puffinry on the island. So you are all set when booking this tour!

When you step on Mykines Island, you will spend 3 hours on the island. Disembarking the boat requires you to move your body from the boat to the the quayside. Just make sure that you are fit for getting off the boat.

In course of your hours on Mykines Island, you will have time for both a hike and to spot as many puffins that you will ever experience in your life. There is even time for a cup of coffee at the local café. Here you can get refreshments and a light meal before heading back to Vágar Island.

This shuttle boat departs at 09:30 in the morning from the Sørvágur marina on the airport island. Your certified captain will make sure that you get a safe and enjoyable boat ride.

The boat ride is done in a boat seating 12 people. You will sit comfortable when cruising between Vágar Island and Mykines Island. This tour will secure you a boat ticket to the much talked about island.

Trail Admission Ticket
The Mykines Island trail admission ticket to the outfield can be bought from the boat crew at the harbour before embarking the boat in Sørvágur in the morning. The trail admission ticket includes a tour guide on Mykines Island. When the Mykines Shuttle Boat has been booked, you are guaranteed the option to secure your trail admission ticket when you embark the boat at the harbour in Sørvágur.

Lighthouse Islet Closed
The path to the lighthouse on Mykineshólmur Islet is permanently closed due to a landslide. You will still see lots of puffins up-close when visiting Mykines Island itself.

This tour needs at least 5 people booked on the tour in order for it to be done. Feel free to book the tour. In case of cancellation due to too few bookings, you will be notified 1 hour prior to tour departure.

There are only puffins on Mykines from May to August. Do not expect to see puffins in September.
