The 5-day photo tour with Ditte as our guide was a success in so many ways. Whether you like it or not, the weather controls the islands. So, thanks to Ditte who planned ahead to adjust the itinerary daily around the weather forecasts. Conversations about weather dictated when, what, and how we explored. Ditte’s local knowledge and expertise and her personal ‘touches’ cannot be underestimated. Maybe because we were the only two with Ditte on this tour, and we could be flexible, we were afforded the most spectacular opportunities to appreciate the landscape and learn a little about Faroese history and culture. The photo memories along with the personal connections and taste sensations will be forever treasured.
