Perfect Way to See the Faroe Islands!

We booked the 7-day self-drive package (plus an extra night) and it was truly one of the best travel decisions we’ve made. We stayed at Hotel Føroyar, which was wonderful; we even got an unexpected upgrade to a suite on arrival.

The manual transmission car we booked was supposed to be a Mazda but ended up being a Nissan — totally fine for us, since anything manual was perfect. The package also included the two main undersea tunnels, which are the key ones you’ll need to explore the islands.

Honestly, this was a great deal. I tried pricing everything out on my own, and I couldn’t even come close to the package price. The itinerary they provided was excellent; we adjusted it a bit based on the weather and added a few extra hikes using AllTrails, but all the main highlights were already included.

Communication was fast and friendly the whole way through. We always got quick responses to questions, and they even followed up to thank us and mention that they’d read our reviews of the individual excursions after our trip.

If you plan to rent a car, I highly recommend booking this package. We had such an amazing time exploring Vágar, Streymoy, Eysturoy, Kalsoy, and Borðoy — every island was unforgettable!

This was an excellent trip that I can warmly recommend! We had a great time with our very knowledgable local guide Randi and saw a lot of the beautiful island of Kalsoy, including the lighthouse, tomb of James Bond and the seal woman statue. Randi shared lots of local folklore and was great company!

I have been a knitter for nearly 50 years. My husband has never hand-knitted. We both absolutely loved the knitting experience with Susanna. What a treasured opportunity to get to know someone while traveling, learn more about her culture, and also be exposed to the history of Faorese knitting. This was an amazing experience.
