Fall in love with the Faroe Islands, home to astonishing natural beauty. This legendary small-group tour will let you explore the best of the Faroe Islands in one day. See as much as possible of this undiscovered corner of the world. With an experienced tour guide with a strong passion for seaside views and waterfalls, you are in good company.

Your life-long native Faroe Islands tour guide has the local knowledge and will make sure that you get the most out of your time around the Faroe Islands. So this is what awaits you.

You will be picked up in the morning at your accommodation in Tórshavn (including the suburbs Argir and Hoyvík) on Streymoy Island.  Just let the tour guide know where you are staying once you book the tour.

Now, you will hit the road and head straight to Eysturoy Island. Your tour guide will take you along windswept mountains and all the way to the natural gorge in Gjógv, where you can enjoy the crashing waves.  The peaceful village Gjógv is waiting for you to be discovered.

Now, you will head to the tranquil hideaway Saksun. This lovely little village is tucked away in lush grass on the westside of Streymoy island. The village faces an incredible view of a hidden tidal lagoon.

You will now glide silently along the well-kept roads in the Faroe Islands and stop by the captivating Fossá Waterfall. Enjoy the power of nature for a while as you stand next to the crashing water beside this waterfall that drops in two levels.

After this experience, you will head to the remote settlement Tjørnuvík nestled in unmatched natural beauty. Travellers say this hidden valley feels like reclaiming nature.

There will be a stop at a restaurant for lunch. You can buy yourself something at the restaurant (no restaurant visit on Tuesdays).

Now you will get to the famed Vágar Island. Drive along the breathtakingly beautiful shoreline to the turf-roofed village Bøur. The view that you will encounter is otherworldly. You will have a great view of Tindhólmur islet and the famous sea arch Drangarnir.

Your final stop is the spectacular natural wonder in the small village Gásadalur. Here you will experience Múlafossur waterfall perched on the very edge and from where it plunges into the ocean. The scenery is so naturally and is the perfect place to recharge in nature.

Are you ready for a full-day of magical landscapes and seascapes? This will be one of the most incredible days of your life. Check availability by choosing a date.

I had an absolutely fantastic time exploring the Faroe Islands, all thanks to our amazing local guide! She was incredibly friendly and took us to special places from her childhood, sharing stories that you just can’t find in guidebooks. Her knowledge of the area’s history was impressive, and she kept us entertained with fun facts and stories throughout the entire tour. During the tour, there are opportunities to enjoy short walks amidst the stunning landscapes of different parts of Faroe Islands. The small refreshment offered was a lovely touch, and stopping at a local cafe for lunch really made us feel like part of the community. It was an unforgettable experience. For those seeking to uncover the most in a single day with ease, comfort and delight, this tour is an absolute must!

When you arrive in the Faroe Islands the scenery is simply magic. This tour does what a rental car, ferry or even helicopter ride can’t: breathe life into that magic. The charming cottage by the sea isn’t just a sight to behold, it’s where the guide spent nights with her aunt. The gorgeous road to the surfing village isn’t just a stunning sight, it’s where her grandmother would insist on walking the rest of the way because the roads aren’t what they used to be. Elsa is knowledgeable, funny, authentic, warm and simply lovely. I loved hearing her stories about the Faroe Islands and about her own life here. As a traveller, there’s nothing I like more than learning about the people of a place. What makes Faroe islands, Faroe Islands. And everything is better with a dash of humour and full heartedness!

Thank you so much again! An absolute must do at the Faroe Islands!

We had an amazing tour of the islands, in an outstanding winter landscape! We took the trip on Feb 3rd, with some snowing and wind along the way, but overall nature was on our side that day and allowed us to see all the highlights. Our guide was very warm and knowledgeable, she had many stories and fun facts about the faroese land and culture, and also a few nice surprises for us.
We took loads of jaw dropping, wallpaper-perfect pictures, had a great time and definitely recommend the tour!

I had an amazing introduction to the islands with Elsa Maria, I must say. She was very thorough, showed us all of the key sights and explained everything along the way. She even captured very detailed pictures during the day, which were better than any I had taken myself.
Please thank your guide for me. I would give her a 5 star rating.

    Thank you,

Elsa Maria was outstanding, she was enthusiastic to teach me about not only the places we visited but the country as a whole and how it all comes together. Her photo taking skills are immaculate and she made me feel extremely welcome.

I wanted to thank you for what was a fantastic day out with Elsa on the see it all tour. Totally enjoyed my day and i would love to do another tour if i visit again one day. We were able to see as much as possible and it was a nice small group which meant we could have a more personal experience. Some of the little treats provided by Elsa were a lovely touch and i can only highly recommend this trip to others visiting the faroes. The vehicle used was perfect and the driving was of a high quality. Elsa was excellent and her knowledge and personality really made a lasting impression with me. Top marks from me.

This tour was just absolutely WONDERFUL. Elsa Maria is one of the most knowledgeable guides I’ve ever met, and I learned so much about the Faroe Islands because of her. She made sure that we did the tour at our own pace, but also made sure that we got to see everything as listed on the tour. She’s also a GREAT photographer, and I loved that she took photos with her own phone to share with us afterwards. I wish the tour lasted longer, because I had so much fun with Elsa Maria. I HIGHLY recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see the islands, before venturing out on their own. It gave me a really good perspective on which parts of the islands I wanted to spend more time on. I can’t thank Elsa Maria enough!

I’ve spent a lovely day on nov. 25 with a group and Elsa Maria as a guide. She was always showing us how beautiful are the Faroe Islands, teaching about the local culture, and about the history of the villages.
She also brought some coffee and snacks, making us try some local flavors.
During the tour our guide took many photos and
after one or two days we could enjoy the pictures through the link she sent by email
I absolutely recommend the tour with Elsa Maria !
