See as much as possible of this undiscovered corner of the world. With an experienced tour guide with a strong passion for seaside views and waterfalls, you are in good company.

Your life-long native Faroe Islands tour guide has the local knowledge and will make sure that you get the most out of your time around the Faroe Islands. So this is what awaits you.

You will be picked up in the morning at your accommodation in Tórshavn (including the suburbs Argir and Hoyvík) on Streymoy Island.  Just let the tour guide know where you are staying once you book the tour.

Now, you will hit the road and head straight to Eysturoy Island. Your tour guide will take you along windswept mountains and all the way to the natural gorge in Gjógv, where you can enjoy the crashing waves.  The peaceful village Gjógv is waiting for you to be discovered.

Now, you will head to the tranquil hideaway Saksun. This lovely little village is tucked away in lush grass on the westside of Streymoy island. The village faces an incredible view of a hidden tidal lagoon.

You will now glide silently along the well-kept roads in the Faroe Islands and stop by the captivating Fossá Waterfall. Enjoy the power of nature for a while as you stand next to the crashing water beside this waterfall that drops in two levels.

After this experience, you will head to the remote settlement Tjørnuvík nestled in unmatched natural beauty. Travellers say this hidden valley feels like reclaiming nature.

There will be a stop at a restaurant for lunch. You can buy yourself something at the restaurant (no restaurant visit on Tuesdays).

Now you will get to the famed Vágar Island. Drive along the breathtakingly beautiful shoreline to the turf-roofed village Bøur. The view that you will encounter is otherworldly. You will have a great view of Tindhólmur islet and the famous sea arch Drangarnir.

Your final stop is the spectacular natural wonder in the small village Gásadalur. Here you will experience Múlafossur waterfall perched on the very edge and from where it plunges into the ocean. The scenery is so naturally and is the perfect place to recharge in nature.

    I recently had to try three times to fly in to the Faroes and as they say, third time lucky. And I was very lucky. Yes because I managed to arrive, but more so, because of my guide, Elsa Maria.
    Elsa Maria is flexible – She allowed me to move my tour from the day I couldn’t arrive to Sunday; She is very organised – She allowed me to see and experience so much in one day; She is fun, and because of that, is obviously well connected and liked by so many which is important, as it made the quality of my interaction and experience so much fun. I learnt much about the lifestyle/culture and history of the island and had the chance to try some well-known culinary specialties. Loved the rhubarb desserts and beverages. What I saw of the islands were spectacular and so I will certainly return and look forward to requesting Elsa once more to be my window to the Faroese lifestyle and islands.

We went to many of the big highlights, and the guide also took us to some of the more hidden gems and scenic routes. She was very knowledgeable about the Faroe Islands, and it was really interesting to hear some of her personal stories.

    The group was also very small, which was nice as it felt more personalized. Overall, this was excellent value for money, and I think you should definitely book this.

    We had an amazing tour of the islands, in an outstanding winter landscape! We took the trip on Feb 3rd, with some snowing and wind along the way, but overall nature was on our side that day and allowed us to see all the highlights. Our guide was very warm and knowledgeable, she had many stories and fun facts about the faroese land and culture, and also a few nice surprises for us.
    We took loads of jaw dropping, wallpaper-perfect pictures, had a great time and definitely recommend the tour!

    This was one of the best tours we had in the Faroe Islands. Elsa Maria was a wealth of information and answered all of our questions with great detail. There were so many highlights that it’s almost impossible to pick one thing that was my favorite. I enjoyed everything about this tour. Although it was a full 7 hour tour, we had enough breaks throughout the day and I was able to photograph all the wonderful seascapes and glimpses of nature that the Faroe Islands had to offer. It’s literally a different scene around every corner…it took my breath away over and over again. I can’t even tell you how many times I gasped from the sheer jaw-dropping beauty. The Faroe Islands are magically incredible and Elsa Maria made sure we saw all the sights, people and tasted the food that make it so special. When I returned home, I also received an email from Elsa Maria of all the pictures she took during the tour, plus an interactive road map of all the places we visited!! I was not only surprised, but impressed by this….as I’ve never received anything with such attention to detail from any other tour I’ve taken while traveling. That was a super nice touch and end to my vacation!

    We hardly ever go on guided tours, preferring to travel independently, however, this trip may change our minds. Elsa-Maria was fantastic as a guide and without feeling rushed we covered the high points and a huge amount of area across the Faroe Islands – way more than we ever could have achieved by ourselves. Not only that, but Elsa-Maria chatted to our group of five, giving us information and great local anecdotes about each of the places we visited, including areas we passed through. The restaurant she took us for lunch was wonderful and again. One that required local knowledge. She was a delight to be with!

    Langt om længe fik jeg booket min tur til færørene med en veninde. Færørene har længe været på min ønskeliste over steder jeg ville se og steder hvor jeg ville vandre. Jeg bookede turen med Elsa Maria og fra første sekund hun hentede os på hotellet var der en særlig og yderst behagelig stemning i den lille shuttlebus. Elsa Maria formåede at gøre turen spændende fra start til slut, med historier og anekdoter fra de smukke smukke og golde øer. Hun var opmærksom på folks behov for enten lidt mere tid ved seværdighederne eller mindre. Vi føler virkelig vi fik value for money og mere til. Vi smagte færøsk delikatesse og snaps, vi prøvede en lokal restaurant hvor jeg fik verdens bedste varme kakao og et stykke virkelig fantastisk kage. Jeg skal tilbage til øerne i maj og jeg skal helt sikkert booke turen med Elsa Maria og KUN Elsa Maria til min mor og mine søskende.
