We had a great experience.
So much fun hiking and seeing the puffins on mykines.
The captain and his red-headed helper were very friendly and Informative.
Finding the captain in the morning was difficult and most of the group was very late because the instructions were unclear on where to meet.
We ended up leaving the marina late and getting picked up late from the island. (Which was no big deal to us, but I could see it being an issue to other travelers in the future).
Thanks so much for a great experience in an unforgettable place.

The shuttle was great and Mykinnes was beautiful. In fact, riding the rib out with the views and puffin spotting alone was worth the trip. Really enjoyed. If I had one negative it was perhaps that the actual time on Mykinnes itself could have been shortened. With the western part closed off we found we’d done a full walking tour and had time for rest and snacks etc. but still with time spent waiting around at the end. Perhaps 3 hours would be a perfect window, though once the rest of the island opens up again that might not be the case.
A small point though and aside from this it was definitely a highlight of my trip to the Faroes.

We are already planning our return to the Faroe Islands for next summer. We chose the rib boat to Mykines as we knew that the ferry could be cancelled if the winds were high as happened to my son on a previous visit. The ride was more than exciting as the sea swells were high but we always felt safe. There was a passenger with some mobility issues on our trip and the staff treated him with respect and assistance. We were impressed. We will do that trip again.

Our trip to Mykines went very well, the reception and the boat were perfect.
On the other hand, considering the already high price of the boat, we were really surprised and disappointed to have to pay again to be able to go on the paths that were not all open (lighthouse path closed).
In the ideal it would be necessary that all is included in the price, we would have less the impression to be taken for « pigeon ».
Thank you, it was a very nice discovery.

We were so fortunate to book an excursion with Mykines Shuttle Boat (MSB). We planned on taking the ferry, but we’re unable to book a return trip for the same day. After researching other options, we found and booked MSB without any problems. After taking this trip with MSB, suiting up and riding in the open boat so closely through and by natural land formations on shore and seeing so many puffins and other birds out on the water and shore, we were so glad that we were in a smaller boat. The crew was so accommodating and helpful throughout our time out and back. We also loved that we were able to explore Mykines before the larger group from the ferry arrived. We would most definitely travel with MSB again! Thank you for an amazing experience.

Det var en vidunderlig udflugt for mig! Tusind tak 🙂 Meget søde to mænd, der sejlede os.

I would give your shuttle a 5 or 6 out of 10.
Finding your boat was a challenge. When arriving to park, a sign points us to the ferry. Confusing.
Did not realize it was an open air ride. Or that we’d want or need an insulating jump suit.
Did not realize it was a 5 hour drop off, thought it 2 was 2-3 hours.
Drop off was awkward, trying to master vertical metal rungs in concrete.
No instructions from crew on what to do or see or where to hike, or that we would be asked to pay $250 DKK to hike on the island.
You have lots of room for improvement.

Men fin, fin tur,

All in all, we had a great experience. The boat ride was beautiful and at the same time eventful.
The crew was nice, and instructions were clear.
We were a bit confused about the specific pick-up location at the harbor so we came 5-10 min late and had to call you to get directions.
There were also others who also thought that the boat was was on the other side of the harbor where there is a pier mentioning mykines.
It was a bit pricey but we think it was very much worth it.

I don’t recommend this boat tour. We had fairly smooth seas on the day we went, and yet we ended up hurting our backs as the rigid inflatable boat crashed down hard after going over waves. We also ended up feeling seasick. We had hoped there would be some nature interpretation and slowing down to see birds as we passed (more of a birdwatching tour), but instead it was a high speed, rough ride to get the Mykines Island, with no nature interpretation. We paid extra to take the ferry home, and not use our ride back on this boat. The ferry was much nicer! Mykines itself was really nice with a cute cafe, and lots of puffins in the colony (which you need to hike up to, and do need to pay for).

Unfortunately the waves were forecasted to be too rough to get over to Mykines and this had to be cancelled. We were given the option of refund or take part in a different opportunity. One might see this as a big disappointment but the crew went above and beyond to give us a tour of the Vagar coastline. We got to see huge cliffs, coves, and the biggest oceanside cave on Vagar. We even managed to spot a puffin in mid September in the ocean! All in all the crew gave us a great experience to make up for the rough seas and stopped several times to share facts and history about the island. The sign is a bit confusing (says ferry is 10 minute walk away from where we met — although it was hard to miss the big group of people forming up for the tour). Wear waterproof trousers or bring something to sit on, the seats can get wet (cushioned) so just be ready for that. All around great experience!

Tour was really great. We were there in September and were even able to spot some puffins (mostly flying ones). And the Mykines island itself was really nice. Like all the Faroe Islands to be honest. All hikes here are breathtaking! And the boat ride itself was a fun experience, I laughed like a child when we jumped on the waves. Actually after getting back from the Mykines trip, I decided to buy another trip for the next day – Drangarnir one.

Great boat ride and very friendly and helpful crew. Getting of the boat at Mykines harbour was an adventure in itself. Unfortunately during our visit to Mykines we saw only one puffin on land and some at sea but there were many other birds to be seen (fulmar, kittiwake, gannet, etc.).
Only bad thing about visiting Mykines is the outrageous 400 DKK p.p. access fee the locals charge!
Apart from that we enjoyed our visit and boat ride very much.

It’s worth to take a trip to Mykines Island – to hike or try to see puffins. But the boat driver (on the way Sorvagur-Mykines) was reckless, driving the boat straight on waves making the boat jump and land on a flat surface of water which was really painful and dangerous. I left the boat with a headache and a hurt backbone.
The ride back (Mykines-Sorvagur) was with the other driver and was great and smooth.

It might be helpful to be state that the Mykines trip only includes the boat ride there and that guests will be expected to pay an additional fee to walk on the grounds. The locals taking credit card payments did not really make it clear how much they were charging per person and I only saw later on my CC statement that it was over $200. It wasn’t a problem it just would have been helpful to know ahead. Thank you again. We all hope to return soon.

There was a lot of puffins in the Sea, in the Sky, on the Island, everywhere.

The boat ride was an experience in itself. It is like a fast speedboat and takes about 20-30mins. Yes, its expensive but you will reach the island in between the public ferrys which takes 80 pax. The time difference allowed us to have an unhurried time on the Mykines island which is filled with thousands of puffins.
They provide a waterproof coveralls and life jacket. It provides insulation from the wind and water (splashes from the boat) but your hands, head and feet wont be covered so be adequately prepared. The boat also sailed past dragnarir but it was a quick one so if you want a slow boat ride that lets you take alot of photos, take the other tours!
After reaching the island, you have to pay an entrance fee which is not included in the boat ride. We think the price is steep but worth it considering we got very up close to the puffins and had many nice photos. You cant walk all the way to the lighthouse but can walk to approx 100m before that and the view is still as nice. There was nothing much to do in the village and the cafe didnt seem to be open so bring your own food. Overall, we enjoyed the trip.

The boat ride and view were great. Unfortunately the weather was cold, wet, and rainy constantly. The website says windproof jacket and hiking boots which I’m sure would be fine on dry days. For the rainy days a full on rain/windproof suit is preferred. If you are interested keep in mind the weather, an expensive watertight suit might be required. Also 2.5 hours is a little long and for the price I would recommend another tour.

Fabulous experience, without any doubt. Experienced captain and crew member, who brought us right to the end of what otherwise would have been a long hike. Ultrafast and comfortable boat. The price includes the (expensive) walking permit, so the price of the boat trip itself was actually very fair. We were offered an earlier pick-up in case of bad weather, but were so lucky to have a wonderful sunshine and no wind. We had the place to ourselves, and enjoyed every minute of the 2.5 hours we spent there.

I booked very late (one day before) and I could join a nice Belgian family. The drive with the boat took approx. 10 minutes and the landing was very safe.
We had a perfect day, nice weather, no wind and no tourists at the site😊. The scenery was one oft he greatest I’ve ever seen in my life and I enjoyed it so much.
Dark green gras, impressive cliffs and Drangarnir Sea Arch with ist surroundings. The sea was calm and clear and I took so many pictures. I’ve even two seals, puffins and many other seabirds. The boat was late (the captain announced this before) and therefore we had only less time to drive around the Sea Arch.
The three and a half hours were unforgettable and I was so happy I booked the tour. We had a very friendly and helpful crew. Thanks a lot!!
However it is quite expensive (with entrance to the national park) for me it was worth the money.
Thank you for this great trip and I really recommend it to all people they like this kind of scenery.

Boottrip was very good. A “drive thru” the arch before we were dropped on land. Schipper asked us the day before if we wanted to postphone the trip a day, because of the weather (totally clouded in the mist, no view).
The day after we managed to see something. Unfortunatly some low clouds made it not posible to see much of the second seastack, althou some good pics in the mist.
With this trip you are free to roam the cliffs above and have time to take pictures. Heard from someone else we meat that was not the case on the guided tour over land.
Organizing people were very friendly and helpfull.

I would definitely recommend anyone that visits the Faroe Islands to take this tour, it is a small boat with not so many people so you get a somewhat personal experience and the guide/ captain is a great operator and he will make sure to stop and turn the boat in all of the top spots so you can get a good view as well as good pictures regardless of where on the boat you’re sitting.
They will offer you a big bulky raincoat before getting onto the boat, I recommend putting it on even if it doesn’t look so sexy since you never know what kind of weather you will encounter.

And our guide (I don’t remember his name, but he was a 17 year old lad) was great. He passed a lot of interesting fun facts about the Islands, rock formations etc.

One of the coolest and excursions I have ever been on. There were only 3 of us on the tour (low season) but the guides (a man and his son) were friendly and informative, and we were lucky enough to go under the arch of Drangarnir. The tour lasts about an hour and you are able to see a number of beautiful spots around Vagar – a nearby town by the water, a waterfall with a little beach under it, Mulafossur, Tindholmur, and the majestic sea stacks. Make some time for this tour on your trip. You won’t regret it.

This was a fantastic experience! The boat crew (father and son) were exceptional, making sure we were safe while having a fun time. Up close views of Dranganir and surrounding area and the crew shared a lot of interesting information about the area and various sites we saw. It’s a fun ride!

Amazing! We got lucky with fantastic November weather and the boat trip was awesome! It was so cool to see Dranganir and the waterfall from the boat. So memorable, I definitely recommend it!

Despite it being cold and rainy, which whips straight into your face while you’re on the boat, this was an amazing experience. Pulled right up at the marina, slipped right into the jumpsuits provided, and we were on the boat in just a couple of minutes. Got some great footage in heavy waves. Good captain, good guide. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic time on the one-hour tour. The weather in March is highly unpredictable, but we were blessed with mostly sunny skies and relatively calm seas. The captain and his daughter met us at the harbor, and took us all around the fjord. They were wonderfully informative and kind, and we learned afterwards that he was ALSO the captain of the plane that brought us to the Faroe Islands! How’s that for personalized service!

We had all the seasons in one boat trip. From snow to sun, but I wouldn’t had changed at all. It was magical and emotional to be so near to this powerful waterfalls and cliffs. The guides were super friendly and I wouldn’t mind to repeat it everyday. It is without any doubt a must do experience! Thank you.

The captain and the co-captain are very knowledgeable, witty people. They were very open to questions and very astute at spotting birds. We ended up seeing some puffins and a seal. The co-captain had good geographical knowledge as well. Highly recommend. Must dress appropriately for cold and windy conditions.

The 4:30pm departure time did fill me with a little trepidation as I thought it would be chilly on the water.
Yes, it was chilly! But the waterproof onsie offset most of the cold and the occasional water spray. There was no swell to wash water over the edge until right at the end when we were quite close to the rocky outcrops and arch.
That will teach me to keep my mouth closed and not call out in delight. The
Atlantic was only a touch salty on the tongue!
One hour was a perfect duration – and we even had Puffins diving around us as they swept the rocky cliffs.
My family could not believe I did this tour ( vertico and sea sickness being a bit of an issue with me) but my many photos proved them wrong.
I am going home to enlarge my photographic evidence and proudly hang on my walls as a long lasting memory and will tell anyone who will listen of my amazing Faroe water adventure.

Review from trip in June 2023 for a party of 6. Great tour with Ellef and Jorgen, two highly-distinguished, and personable Faroe natives, who can fill you in on the relevant history of the area and explain the complex ownership structure of the local sheep herd. We lucked out with the weather and were able to pass directly through the eye of Drangarnir. The boat was quite new and very comfortable. The departure point was easy to find with plenty of free parking and gas close by. We were able to take plenty of great video footage and pictures, including close encounters with wildlife and interesting geological formations as mentioned in their description. We were very comfortable with the captain’s boat skills and the overall safety. This is a short, fun trip for those who want to get up close and personal with the environment and the Faroes.

An amazing tour! Definitely worth it. We went close to the cliffs, waterfall and even the caves. We saw a seal, puffins and birds on the water and in their nests. The guide had sharp eyes and pointed them out to us. Many photo opportunities. It can get abit bumpy and windy at times but nothing extreme.
We were super lucky to see a small pod of 2-3 whales!!!!!! They said its their first time seeing whales with tourists on a boat. Extremely grateful to behold such a sight. We kept a distance from them and had many opportunities to take photos.

We spent a gourgeous hour on the speed boat with interesting explanations by our guide. The landscape is simply breathtaking. Best experience on the Faroe Islands! I booked this boat trip pretty last minute on my final day and was not disappointed. You see so much more than the Drangarnir – although that was definitely a highlight. The guides were charismatic and informative and provided the best afternoon journey I could’ve asked for.

Turen var fantastiskt bra!
Richard Collins –
Karen Pugh –
We are already planning our return to the Faroe Islands for next summer. We chose the rib boat to Mykines as we knew that the ferry could be cancelled if the winds were high as happened to my son on a previous visit. The ride was more than exciting as the sea swells were high but we always felt safe. There was a passenger with some mobility issues on our trip and the staff treated him with respect and assistance. We were impressed. We will do that trip again.
Bea Annot-Mekelenkamp –

The Trip to mykines , was definitiv one of the highlights of our whole Faroe vacation. It was just perfect. Starting with the exciting bot Ride and after this we had a wonderful time on the island. Iwas not Expecting to get so close to the beautiful puffin. Especially with the closure of the lighthouse Trailer the 4h time on the Island were just perfect. We would definitiv recommand this trip

We had a great day. Directions to pick up place were great. Organisation and instruction to passengers was very clear. We got really close up to lots of puffins on the island. Would definitely book again with you, really good fun! 😀
Besse Françoise –
Our trip to Mykines went very well, the reception and the boat were perfect.
On the other hand, considering the already high price of the boat, we were really surprised and disappointed to have to pay again to be able to go on the paths that were not all open (lighthouse path closed).
In the ideal it would be necessary that all is included in the price, we would have less the impression to be taken for « pigeon ».
Thank you, it was a very nice discovery.
Julie Wright –

Rigtig fin tur. Har bestemt ikke fortrudt. Syntes dog at 250 kr. Pr.

Heike Nebbe –
Det var en vidunderlig udflugt for mig! Tusind tak 🙂 Meget søde to mænd, der sejlede os.
Phillip Smith –
Olga Vataman –
I booked Mukines Shuttle Boat, and I didn’t regret it at all. Very nice and kind people. I recommend with love. Thanks for the trip 🤗
Jette Nielsen –
Men fin, fin tur,
Rick McNerney –
We had a great time on Mykines Thanks to you switching us up at the last minute.
Jakob E. Laustsen –
Ingrid-Silvia Erikson –
Me and my partner loved the trip to Mykines. Now puffins are my favourite bird species! If I would ever come back to the Faroe Islands, I would definitely visit Mykines again. Thank you for this incredible experience! And the boat ride was a lot of fun, too.
Allison Patrick –
Victor LEVEQUE –
Amazing ! Even if the weather did not allow us to go to Mykines, they offered us an awesome boat tour around Vagar instead and that was spot on !
Strongly recommended
Kevin Kieda –
Natalia Langa –
Tour was really great. We were there in September and were even able to spot some puffins (mostly flying ones). And the Mykines island itself was really nice. Like all the Faroe Islands to be honest. All hikes here are breathtaking! And the boat ride itself was a fun experience, I laughed like a child when we jumped on the waves. Actually after getting back from the Mykines trip, I decided to buy another trip for the next day – Drangarnir one.
Aad Straathof –

Gina Frederiksen –
Amazing experience!
Kristin Kalmbacher –
It might be helpful to be state that the Mykines trip only includes the boat ride there and that guests will be expected to pay an additional fee to walk on the grounds. The locals taking credit card payments did not really make it clear how much they were charging per person and I only saw later on my CC statement that it was over $200. It wasn’t a problem it just would have been helpful to know ahead. Thank you again. We all hope to return soon.
Kari Conroy –
We thoroughly enjoyed our RIB boat ride out to Mykines Island. We were fortunate to have a beautiful, calm and sunny day to enjoy the trip. The boat crew were timely, professional and helpful when it came to putting on all the gear. They went above and beyond to make our experience special.
Vanasch Benoit –
It was great !
There was a lot of puffins in the Sea, in the Sky, on the Island, everywhere.
The only thing is that we have to pay 75€ per person to go out of the Village, nobody tell us before. It seems it’s a new rule since begin of June, that’s so expensive…
Sheila –
Xavier Sanchez –
Amazing tour with two amazing local guides!! Definitely would do it again and highly recommended! They explain everything in detail and give enough time to appreciate nature.
Jane –
Great tour! The guides in Mykines were very knowledgeable and welcoming. We saw plenty of puffins and learned a lot as well. It was fascinating to get the perspective of a local from that specific island. Thank you for sharing your stories.
Highly recommend.
Terry Peddlesden –
Skilled crewanaging the zodiacs back and forth. On the way back, we stopped to take photos of seals. As for the walk and seeing puffins, it was excellent!
Laurynas Biveinis –
Great tour! We contacted them before booking because we were traveling with a baby and had some questions, and they were super helpful.
Mireia Sensarrich Roset –
The trip was really nice! The views are amazing also the staff. We recommend this tour!!
Christian Christensen –
Fantastic experience. Good service during boat trip.
For the total experience it would have been good to know already when booking a 675 DKK ticket that you will be met by a 500 DKK fee to enter the Mykines Island.
Kristoffer Thomsen –
The shuttle to Mykines was great! The crew was super nice and skilled. Luckily we had good weather so my overall experience of Mykines was great! We got to see thousands of puffins both on the islands but also we could see them from the boat. Thanks to the funny captain and the crew for an amazing experience!
Flemming Zangenberg –
Tusind tak for en helt fantastisk bådtur🤩
De lokale på Mykines fastholder, at det koster 500 kr/person at bevæge sig uden for bygden.
Jochen Bonitz –
Pasakorn Thavornant –
We took a tour in late July.Comfortable RIB , have plenty of time to see a lot Puffins, recommended.
Michael Stone –
I personally loved the tour. The sun was shining and there were thousands of Puffins. Once I got off the boat, I set of immediately to walk the dedicated track. I did not join the guided tour which must have had 80 tourists in it. Just too many people to scare the Puffins.
Malene Hermansen –
Helt igennem fantastisk god tur. Vil helt sikkert anbefale denne tur 😉
Allan Vilhelmsen –
Fantastic tour to Mykines, including detours to Drangarnir and caves. Excellent staff and guides. Absolutely recommend!
Frances Coombe –
Both my mum & I loved the boat trip experience – so much fun! Crew were very helpful, friendly & experienced. And we saw so much birdlife- especially puffins! Would highly recommend.
Carolina Guerra –
Alicia Beurrier –
Superbe activité.
Les guides sont vraiment très gentils.
Top !
Alex Barbeau –
It was great! The tour was quite fun, particularly going through rock formations on the way to and from Mykines.
Ursula Kropfeld –
A really great experience on an unique island 🐧.
After this impressive visit we understand the need for regulation of visitors, the hiking fee and all the rules to protect the wildlife and nature.
And congratulations to the Klavsvik soccer team with an remarkable spirit on their way to the Champions League! 👍👍
Timo Wegner –
The boat shuttle itself was quite an experience and a lot of fun. The staff was very friendly. However, it would have been helpful to know beforehand about the in our opinion way to expensive hiking fee of 500 DKK.
Cassandra Tan –
Julie Meyer –
Drangarnir was the highlight of our vacation. Fabulous trip and the foggy mist with sunshine peaking through made it even cooler! We stayed on the island for 1.5 hours for light hiking and photos, which was perfect. The boat tour afterwards was also great. Would highly recommend!
Maik Lipp –
The boat tour and the hike was great. The weather was also fine, so we had an great experience.
Thanks for that!
Michelle Leunis –
It was great, thank you! Both guides were extremely accommodating, even with the turn of the weather that didn’t allow us to land to do the hike. Still a beautiful experience!
Scott Smith –
The boat ride and view were great. Unfortunately the weather was cold, wet, and rainy constantly. The website says windproof jacket and hiking boots which I’m sure would be fine on dry days. For the rainy days a full on rain/windproof suit is preferred. If you are interested keep in mind the weather, an expensive watertight suit might be required. Also 2.5 hours is a little long and for the price I would recommend another tour.
Niels VR –
Fabulous experience, without any doubt. Experienced captain and crew member, who brought us right to the end of what otherwise would have been a long hike. Ultrafast and comfortable boat. The price includes the (expensive) walking permit, so the price of the boat trip itself was actually very fair. We were offered an earlier pick-up in case of bad weather, but were so lucky to have a wonderful sunshine and no wind. We had the place to ourselves, and enjoyed every minute of the 2.5 hours we spent there.
Carrie Nicholes –
Thank you so much for reaching out. We had an amazing time on our boat ride to Drangarnir. We were blessed to be the only two people at Drangarnir, which gave us an opportunity to explore in seclusion (with only a couple of sheep to keep us company). It was one of our favorite experiences during our time in the Faroe Islands. We would highly recommend the tour to others!
Heiri Keller –
Lilly Huang –
I had a great time In Drangalnior & will be back someday for sure.
Jennifer Esseiva –
The boat tour and the time on the island is perfect for photographers! The time is short but I was able to get some great photos! The place is stunning and his definitely a must see!
Andrea –
Fantastic! Would highly recommend this experience to all.
Serena –
Great experience! Perfect alternative for people who wish to photograph Drangarnir but don’t want the hiking.
We had wonderful weather during the 2 hours on the island to capture the fabulous place.
Jochen –
The tour was awesome, the captain and crew friendly and everything was on time. The only negative aspect is the price of this tour, in my humble opinion this is enormously overpriced.
Clinton Blackman –
Great views of the iconic sea stacks and good fun on the rib getting there. Definitely recommended
Julie Shields –
This was the highlight of our trip!
Bin Zhou –
This tour is without doubt the highlight of our stay in the Faroe Islands. We enjoy a perfect weather which is precious in the Faroe Islands. And it was like the neverland of Drangarnir belongs to us two people. The captain also took us a exciting boat tour surrounding the sea stacks. On our way back we had a delightful chat with the captain who gave us lot of fun stories and informations about the history of the islands.
Heather Mantel –
This boat trip was the highlight of our trip to the Faroe Islands – we had great weather, by Faroese standards. Blue skies and interesting cloud formations across the bay. We had the opportunity to go through the archway which was amazing! It was an amazing time, and we’ll remember it for a long long time to come.
Johnny De Gruyter –
Boottrip was very good. A “drive thru” the arch before we were dropped on land. Schipper asked us the day before if we wanted to postphone the trip a day, because of the weather (totally clouded in the mist, no view).
The day after we managed to see something. Unfortunatly some low clouds made it not posible to see much of the second seastack, althou some good pics in the mist.
With this trip you are free to roam the cliffs above and have time to take pictures. Heard from someone else we meat that was not the case on the guided tour over land.
Organizing people were very friendly and helpfull.
Alexandra Bratton –
This was the most incredible tour during my time here!! It was so special to explore Drangarnir on my own, and the guides are incredibly nice. Even though it was a little rainy, walking around in the quiet amongst stunning landscapes, birds, and sheep was well worth it!
The Drangarnir sea arch very nice, I like it
Kah seang Lau –
The tour was amazing and nice funny guide too …I really enjoy it
Will recommend this tour to friend .
Claudia Cappiello –
Fantastic experience!! I hoped It would last hours and hours!!!everyone was very kind and informative and it Is an incredible way of experiencing the beauty of this place!
Josh Kramer –
Awesome trip! Highly recommend! Waterfalls and much more!
Eva Klein –
Ame Phitwong –
This tour occurred on our first day in the Faroe Islands. It was a great introductory to the islands. Luckily it wasn’t rainy, but the weather was a littler turbulent so we were grateful for the full body warming suits. Our guide was very friendly and informative and made the tour enjoyable. Although we didn’t get to go through Drangarnir because of the weather, we briefly got some calm and sunny weather to enjoy. Would recommend this tour!
Yasmin Hildrum –
Amazing boat trip and very knowledgeable crew! I highly recommend!
Abhiram Yalamanchili –
The Drangarnir boat tour yesterday was amazing!!
Sandy Kowdley –
This was an amazing experience with the nicest captain and crew. It was a rainy, foggy evening and we were afraid that the tour would be canceled. So glad we went. The ocean was wild and a jaw-dropping sapphire. The sights, especially the waterfall and Drangarnir were incredible. One of the best experiences of our lives. Don’t miss it!
Helena Baueršímová –
Bout tour Drangarnir was beautiful, experience of a lifetime.
Jomar A Perez Ortiz –
Absolutely AMAZING! This is just mind blowing! There was a lot of strong waves, but the guy driving the boat knows what he’s doing. I’ll give him a 10/10 for taking the time to explain a little bit about the attractions, time spent and his skills driving the boat. Drangarnir is a 20/10, AMAZING.
David Spitzer –
I had a truly amazing time on this tour ran by a father and son duo who are super friendly and funny!
Chantel Rowe –
Really nice crew and nice tour – unfortunately we had bad weather which meant we didn’t really get close to the rocks or see the waterfall, so just make sure you have your expectations ready that weather is very variable and you may not get these beautiful arch pictures in your mind 🙂
Benjamin Lankfer –
Even with rain, such an amazing tour.
Catherine Leipciger –
What a fabulous trip! The captain and his first mate were very experienced and knowledgeable. They made everyone feel at ease and were wonderful at getting us up close and personal with the sites. I had never been on an RIB before, and it was a lot of fun being able to open it up on the extremely smooth water. It truly was an unforgettable experience!
Linnea Ferm –
Fantastisk oplevelse:)
Angela Rieck –
Great way to see the cliffs, but be aware this is an open boat so bring really warm and waterproof clothes. Also, it can get very rough on the water, so if you have a Problem with your back that could be an issue. But if you are well prepared for Wind and weather, this trip gives a fantastic view of the Coast. We drove to the cliffs and got some fun Details about the different sights. Great Tour.
Natalia Langa –
It was really nice to see all the different rocks and waterfalls from up close. We made a lot of circles around the rocks so that everyone could see them clearly and take picture of them. And our guide (I don’t remember his name, but he was a 17 year old lad) was great. He passed a lot of interesting fun facts about the Islands, rock formations etc.
Cory Mazure –
Very kind captain and unbelievable sights! You will get multiple jaw dropping sights only seeable from the water!
Diane Chong –
Thank you all for your kind effort to make this happen!! We truly appreciate it ♥️♥️🙏🏻
Miss you Faroe Island, hope to see you again soon ♥️♥️♥️
Kirsten Fong –
One of the coolest and excursions I have ever been on. There were only 3 of us on the tour (low season) but the guides (a man and his son) were friendly and informative, and we were lucky enough to go under the arch of Drangarnir. The tour lasts about an hour and you are able to see a number of beautiful spots around Vagar – a nearby town by the water, a waterfall with a little beach under it, Mulafossur, Tindholmur, and the majestic sea stacks. Make some time for this tour on your trip. You won’t regret it.
Curt Nelson –
This was a fantastic experience! The boat crew (father and son) were exceptional, making sure we were safe while having a fun time. Up close views of Dranganir and surrounding area and the crew shared a lot of interesting information about the area and various sites we saw. It’s a fun ride!
Julie Brown –
Amazing! We got lucky with fantastic November weather and the boat trip was awesome! It was so cool to see Dranganir and the waterfall from the boat. So memorable, I definitely recommend it!
Kevin Martin –
Despite it being cold and rainy, which whips straight into your face while you’re on the boat, this was an amazing experience. Pulled right up at the marina, slipped right into the jumpsuits provided, and we were on the boat in just a couple of minutes. Got some great footage in heavy waves. Good captain, good guide. Highly recommended!
DeMar Neal –
We had a fantastic time on the one-hour tour. The weather in March is highly unpredictable, but we were blessed with mostly sunny skies and relatively calm seas. The captain and his daughter met us at the harbor, and took us all around the fjord. They were wonderfully informative and kind, and we learned afterwards that he was ALSO the captain of the plane that brought us to the Faroe Islands! How’s that for personalized service!
Federico –
Incredible views, totally worth it
Tom Frost –
A great trip. Fast and fun with a knowledgable crew. Lots to see from waterfalls, to birds to geology.
Maria Wolff –
Kerry Stieger –
It was great! I was able to see many things at once. The weather’s also really good!
Mariana –
We had all the seasons in one boat trip. From snow to sun, but I wouldn’t had changed at all. It was magical and emotional to be so near to this powerful waterfalls and cliffs. The guides were super friendly and I wouldn’t mind to repeat it everyday. It is without any doubt a must do experience! Thank you.
Yesa –
The captain and the co-captain are very knowledgeable, witty people. They were very open to questions and very astute at spotting birds. We ended up seeing some puffins and a seal. The co-captain had good geographical knowledge as well. Highly recommend. Must dress appropriately for cold and windy conditions.
Melanie –
Great tour. 1 hour was very short. I wish we could have spent a bit more time for photos, and gone around Tindhólmur. But overall it was beautiful and well worth it.
Andrzej –
Wondeful boat trio around Drangarnir as well as two most spectacular on Faroe Islands waterfalls. Great guide!
Giovanni Iudice –
The boat tour to Drangarnir was astonishing!
The crew was great and the experience memorable.
I would reccomend it to anyone visiting the Faroe Islands.
Sen Lessem –
Absolutely fabulous! Guides were wonderful, excellent boat, unbelievably beautiful views. Highly recommend.
Rafael –
Very good trip, although weather conditions were not so good, the captain was amazing and he went into the arch. Also, good explanations from the guide and the most important… We saw a lot of puffins!!
Michal Sierens –
We loved it! We appreciated that you accommodated us on this tour since the one we had booked earlier in the day was cancelled for weather 🙂 We had a great time.
Camilla –
Jiawei Hong –
The boat tour was great, my husband and I had experienced a great time that day in Faroe Islands, your teams are very nice and welcoming. Wish we could visited Faroe Islands more times in the future.
Debra Gehrig –
Christa Esmarch –
Great!
Jasmine Mann –
Enjoyed the tour indeed!!
Courtney Jackson –
We had a great time on the trip. The hosts were wonderful ☺️
Emma Lewille –
The tour was really nice! A beautiful experience to see the islands from the open ocean. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!
Linda Garlepp –
We really enjoyed the drangarnir tour yesterday. Our boat driver and guide were great. Even though the waves were rough the ride was great and we learnt alot about what we were looking at.
Stefanie Klein –
Excellent time! So cool to be able to see Dranganir up so close. We saw many puffins too! Very good value for the price.
Aaron –
Great tour but dress properly for due exposure to high waves, wind, and speed of the boat. Not recommended if you easily get sea sick as it can get bumpy out in the Atlantic ocean waves.
Kristin Kalmbacher –
The boat trip was fantastic. Guides were amazing, kind and knowledgable.
Mai –
Was an unforgettable day 😊👊🏻🤩
Stunning landscape, breathtaking views and nice captain and tour guide 😎
Thank you for such outstanding tour 😊
Mark –
Great experience. Would highly recommend.
Sebastian Kaps –
It was great! See you next year!
Lance Enos –
What a fantastic time! Ellef and Jurgen were humorous and informative. The RIB boat was very comfortable. We left the marina sailing into a wonderful hour of seeing all of the points of interest on a beautiful day with excellent weather. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour for anyone traveling to Faroe Islands.
Glenn –
Lisa Dunstan –
What an excellent tour. Stunning scenery and the guide was engaging and informative. Would highly recommend this tour
Katerina Sternberg –
Amazing trip! We went under the arch of Drangarnir it was really unforgettable experience. I would definitely recommend putting on the suit 😁 Thank you guys for making dream come true!
Gonzalo Vidal –
Such a wonderful experience. The crew was very nice, and they explained some interesting facts about what we were seeing from the boat.
Highly recommended!
James Thompson –
A very local tour, both the pilot and guide live in the inlet, the guide showed us where he and friends spent their time.
The RIB was great for this type of tour, safe and fast and surprisingly dry in the open sea.
I had a great time and got some really good photos.
Eydvør Dimun –
Magnificent trip, even in rainy /grey conditions. Skipper was really good and 5 stars would have been given if there was á toilet at the harbour 😅
Viktoria Åman –
Wonderful tour with a very nice guide. You see a lot in just an hour. We were a big group in the ages between 14 and 80 and everyone really enjoyed it.
Geoffrey Howard –
The bot ride this morning with Jorgen was an incredible experience. He’s a great guide!
Tiina Tanm –
It was truly an unforgettable trip. All the important landmarks could be seen up close from the water. The tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable, telling important information as well as stories related to himself. The trip will be long remembered. We recommend!
Richard Baltazar –
Guides were friendly and informative. They made sure everyone’s able to snap photos which is nice!
Damien Marshall –
Amazing trip – one of the highlights of my time in the Faroe Islands. Guide was very informative and scenery was incredible. It’s a must do!
Markus Scherer –
My girlfriend cried because it was such an amazing and beautiful experience. The trip and the scenery are outstanding. And the tour guide gives awesomes insights. Besides… puuuffiiinnns! The trip is totally worth every single buck <3
Kristian Berg –
Fatanstic trip with incredible views that can be seen from the boat. Guides are knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor. Highly recommended!
Kristoffer Thomsen –
Fantastic tour! Great father/son duo who were Captain and guide. They shared a lot of interesting facts and stories and we were able to see a lot of sights in just 1 hour. Super happy with the tour and would definitely recommend it!
Henrik Christensen –
Spot on.
Fantastic tour. Friendly crew and good atmosphere.
Really recomended.
Pia Larsson –
Super tur. Flinkt personale. Rigtig god oplevelse.
Catherine Broadley –
The guide was a colourful character and kept us entertained with some stories about the Faroes. The trip was great, although be prepared to get wet as the sea can be choppy (bring your own wet weather gear). We saw seals and puffins and a few sheep living on a lonely island. Overall it was value for money and a good experience.
Richard Heidemann –
Fantastic tour in perfect weather. Mulafossur, Tindholmur and Drangarnir up close – what a view!
Philippe Bernier –
The staff was really nice and kind. The tour was cool too, certainly!
Cassandra Tan –
An amazing tour! Definitely worth it. We went close to the cliffs, waterfall and even the caves. We saw a seal, puffins and birds on the water and in their nests. The guide had sharp eyes and pointed them out to us. Many photo opportunities. It can get abit bumpy and windy at times but nothing extreme.
We were super lucky to see a small pod of 2-3 whales!!!!!! They said its their first time seeing whales with tourists on a boat. Extremely grateful to behold such a sight. We kept a distance from them and had many opportunities to take photos.
Sara Longhi –
We spent a gourgeous hour on the speed boat with interesting explanations by our guide. The landscape is simply breathtaking. We had enjoyed the view on Drangarnir from the trekking path from Bøur to Gasadalur the day before; nevertheless from the sea it’s a different experience, plus we were eventually among plenty of cute puffins and other birds.
Isabelle Laurent –
Susana Cuco Lozano –
Fantastic tour!!!
Adam Jordan –
Awesome views and information from the crew, an absolute highlight from the trip!
Kevin Mc Cormick –
Amazing guide and amazing views!
Madhan Kanagavel –
Real fun experience.. really gets close to the sea stacks and the gadalasur falls. Funny stories from the guide and an exciting fast ride on tbe speed boat.
Keith Tam –
It is a fantastic trip, the staff is friendly. Although it is already 1hour past., the sun appears at that moment, and the crew drive us near to the amazing Drangarnir for us to take good photos. It is a must in Faore island, I strongly recommend this trip.
Josemi Jimenez –
Highly recommended. Besides Drangarnir the boat goes to several other points of interest. It was incredible. We had a windy weather but it didn’t suppose any problem, the captain was fantastic and did it an unforgettable experience.
Metin Ozgur –
It was a very good tour, with enough time to enjoy the scenery and take pictures. The crew was very nice and helpful.
Marcos Toledo de Campos Moura –
Excellent tour to Drangarnir! The weather wasn’t good and we still loved it. It’s very worth it
Monika –
It was amazing! Definitely worth the money. And the crew was very nice and professional.
Kevin –
Went out on the zodiac to see the sea stacks and waterfall. It was amazing. The guide and captain were excellent. Learned so much about the area and The Faroes. Got to go thru the arch! Great experience. Booked a car and other boat excursions with Guide To Faroes. All were wonderful! Hogni even helped with planning my time and answered many questions to be sure we got all we wanted out of our trip. The Faroe Islands are MAGICAL! Thank you Hogni and team for a great trip!
Lukas Hansen –
Even though we were there in September, we had very good weather when we did the boat tour to Drangarnir. You don’t only go to Drangarnir but also to the waterfalls, Tindholmur and all the other places in the surrounding. It was an absolutely amazing experience which we won’t ever forget. The guide was also very good and entertaining. Definitely recommend it!
John Canham –
Great tour with very informative tour guides…would do again
Tiberiu Potec –
Thrilling experience, an absolute must-do when visiting the Faroe Islands (Føroyar)! The crew was funny, explaining everything we witnessed with such charm. Once we set sail, the ocean got pretty rough, but for my girlfriend and me, this made the trip even more exciting! Thank you for such amazing moments, and we’re looking forward to seeing you again next year!
Sarah Lockwood –
Best experience on the Faroe Islands! I booked this boat trip pretty last minute on my final day and was not disappointed. You see so much more than the Drangarnir – although that was definitely a highlight. The guides were charismatic and informative and provided the best afternoon journey I could’ve asked for. It was the perfect group size for a tour as well. Highly recommend for photographers, and anyone who wants to see the beautiful islands of Faroe from the water.
Roderick Gilman –
Excellent tour. The guide was very knowledgable and entertaining and the boat ride smooth in spite of challenging weather.
Georg Nahringbauer –
They tour was really great. We saw many different things and liked the way the guide was explaining the sourrundings.
Kimberly Wills –
The staff were lovely, helpful and efficient. We appreciated the commentary which was humorous and informative.
We did not feel rushed to take pictures and move on quickly. The length of the voyage was perfect due to rough seas.
We saw two seals. 10/10 recommend.
Sam –
Worth every penny! Even worth it in October. Guides gave us dry suits to keep us warm, beautiful sights to see and beautiful pictures to be taken. Tour guide was funny personable and knowledgeable. Book it, if you’re here it’s worth it!!
Jo –

The tour was exciting. The guide gave us a lot of information about the places visited, and it was fun and nice. There’s plenty of time left for photos.
We even seen a seal.
the crew provides windproof suits and life jackets.
Absolutely recommended.

We had an amazing tour during sunset yesterday! Jørgen share a lot of insights and anecdotes about the faroe history, geology, fauna, economy, etc. and had an answer to all of our questions. Can totally recommend this tour – also nice to combine with a self organized “postmans hike” which is nearby! Hope to come back soon for another tour!!

It was incredible to see the cliffs towering above us from sea level, a truly amazing tour! Our guides were so kind and informative and ensured a smooth journey despite the wind. Highly recommend 🙂

Unforgettable. The staff was very good and the tour close to the coast was spectacular.

Loved the tour, all the places that you cannot see if you don’t go in a boat. Espectacular!

We all really enjoyed this adventure! Very well organised, friendly crew and great commentary in English. Even though the temperature was dipping as we took the 16.30 tour, the suits kept us nice and warm. The boat actually goes through the arch so gives a different perspective than just passing by. Would definitely recommend this tour. Thanks!
