Hello, we had again a great day with Elsa Maria. It was our second stay on the spectular Islands. This time we explored Sandoy Island – through the new tunnel and than really the whole Island with a very tasty lunch with very friendly hosts.
We have learnt a lot of historie and heard Stories about living. Thank you and we will be back😀

This was an amazing tour with our guide Peter! We saw quaint villages, waterfalls, puffins, many sheep, farms, beaches, lakes, and the tunnel roundabout!! A wonderful lunch at a local restaurant was most enjoyable as well! Peter told personal stories of growing up and living on the Faroe Islands. He readily answered questions and even though we saw many sights, we never felt rushed! Highly recommend this tour!!

Elsa Maria was an absolute star! From the minute I got in the van til the time we said goodbye, she entertained us with great humour, fun facts, her generous nature, bubbly personality and was extremely thoughtful, especially when there were 2 passengers who had motion sickness. I would never have been able to see what we did any other way, so I’m very happy that I booked this tour. She even had local food and drink for us to try. She thought of everything! Even though it was a massive day with lots of stops, I never felt rushed or hurried along. I recommend you book this tour and see it all!

We took this tour on our first day and it was the best decision ever! Even though the weather on the first half of the trip wasnt that good, our tour guide was amazing, she was well prepared with photos of all the places and all information. We learned a lot and we really did see nearly everything. I’d recommend to hit your holiday on the Faroes off with this specific tour as you have the opportunity to see everything and get to know everything and then you are allowed to choose what would you like to see again

We had a wonderful tour around the Faroe Islands with Elsa Maria last week.
We were 6 people in our group which was a very good size for an intimate guided tour.
Our guide was a Faroe native with a strong passion for her country.
The tour is quite expensive, but most things are on the Faroe Islands and I think we got good value for our money.
Getting to try local food was an extra special treat on tour and very much appreciated.
I would definitely recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your stay to get a good overview of the the area and a bit of a historical background.

Hi . So lucky to choose this tour and guide Elsa Maria. The tour shows you all the main highlights of this beautiful and scenic group of islands in a comfortable , intimate group. We had only 7. The weather was magnificent and Elsa Maria was passionate , knowledgeable and knew all the best places for a shot or a beautiful fish restaurant for lunch. I highly recommend doing this if you are short on time and or as an introduction to the island if you are driving around . Elsa Maria gave some of our group excellent tips for their driving tour and she is a fantastic photographer capturing everyone’s shots of the day ! This was a wonderful tour and Elsa Maria is an outstanding guide. We managed to see a lot of places in a single day, but it never seemed rushed. As we’s been warned, the weather is always unpredictable and when we arrived at an overlook that was completely fogged in, Elsa Maria was prepared and pulled out pictures of what it would look like without fog. She also emailed us pictures taken at the places we visited and pictures at the same places in perfect weather. Throughout the tour, she shared her knowledge of the history and culture of the Faroese people and shared personal stories about growing up and living in the Faroe Islands. I came away from the tour knowing much more about both the land and the people. There’s so much to see in the Faroe Islands, that one day just scratches the surface. However, I think this is as good a start as you could possibly do in one day.

She’s very talkative and attentive to the well-being of those who are travelling with her. This is a trip you cannot miss, you see a lot of what the islands can offer in one full day. During the stop we had been offered tea and coffee and something else from the van. You will stop in a nice restaurant for lunch . The trip is beyond expectations and imagination. Stunningly gorgeous nature landscaping, rare but cute sheep’ and horses and a total tranquil surroundings. Elsa, as our 7 hours plus tour guide plus driver, is a committed tour guide, caring person, full with passion with lots of Faroe information and funny jokes. All These plus points has compensated for the “not-too-good” weather (drizzle and cloudy) in the first 4 hours. Not to forget she carried along hot tea and coffee, candies , chocolates in the van, non stop feeding us for 7 hours.
I truly enjoyed this tour, and the whole companionship of the other 7 friends I met on board

Jen and I really enjoyed our time with Elsa Maria. She really went out of her way to make the tour special despite the bad weather we experienced that day. Elsa made up for it with her enthusiasm, colourful storytelling and a genuine passion for her country. I booked the “see it all” in a Faroe day tour, and this was such an awesome small group tour with only 8 people. From the day before while hiking at Kalsoy, another tourist told me my guide for the see-it-all tour might be “Elsa” and she was right. From the very start, Elsa Marie made us comfortable with the tour and gave us very good information about history and recent events at Faroe Islands. The restaurant she brought us to was amazing and even if I do not eat much fish, the salmon was amazingly fresh and well-prepared! Elsa Marie was also very conscientious about the environment, and was very good at reminding us not to step on the beautiful green grass. Truly an amazing day where we got to see a lot things, and Elsa Marie even sent us a video of our day a week after the tour 🙂 Highly recommended

It’s been a while since I’ve done a tour like this as I usually just do things like this on my own. I really enjoyed my time on this tour. It hit the things I wanted to see on these islands and things I didn’t know about. The weather was fantastic so I was lucky that way. The group size was perfect. Small enough that people weren’t always in the way of photos and had to wait forever at every site but big enough that it was easy to keep conversations going if you wanted to. The tour guide, Elsa, was an excellent choice and being a tour guide suites her quite well. She is knowledgeable (or she is really good at making things up that are believable), she is sociable to the point where you enjoy her company but isn’t overbearing. And it she seems like the person to go the extra little bit for the tourists. All in all, 5 out of 5 for this trip.

This has been the best tour I have been on. Elsa was born on the Faroe Islands and she knew every inch of the country. It was almost an 8 hour tour circumnavigating many of the archipelagos. It was a small group of 8 that Elsa managed with ease. She took us to a rural cafe where we had an amazing lunch. We stopped at every photo opportunity and hopped out of the bus to take pics. Elsa offered to take pics of us. Along the way Elsa provided a running commentary highlighting the history and geography of each spot. She encouraged us all to ask her questions which we did. Sometimes Elsa would drive past the answer eg local schools and hospitals.
You must do this tour. You will walk away with a far greater appreciation for the Faroe Islands. Many thanks Elsa. Cheers Ann

The Tour with Jens was worldclass. We had a little mixed group from different countries and were asked if we have to be back at 3.30 pm.
We made multiple stops for photos and little walks, got facts about the islands all the time by Jens and got a little surprise at Fossa, but I dont want to spoiler ^^ in the end the tour took 2hrs longer than expected, but I loved every minute.

4 seasons in 1 day or less.
We had a perfect day with Peter, our guide who made this day exciting. Full of interesting stories about people, culture and nature, took us to most important points of interest. Whatever sun, rain, storm, hail nothing stopped him to made this tour a great experience to us. Nevertheless we were just a small group of just 5 people from different countries, made this feel private. Peter answered all our questions and let us feel very welcome. When we were not able to stop, caused by bad weather,took pictures for us to share later.

I had a truely great and wonderful experience, we visited all the places that were listed – we had ample time to observe everything and take photos, videos. The tour was very organised and punctual. Our guide, Elsa Maria was very friendly and informative, she provided very interesting details about the landscape, the local culture, the people etc. I really appreciated that she was very thoughtful about us, the visitors – for instance we had the chance to try out a local quisine (traditional ocean food and local spirit) – I personally found it very special. All in all this was the best tour that I’ve booked recently in a long time, can warmly suggest it to all tourist who are eager to see all the ‘must see’ sights in Føroyar (Faroe Islands).

Langt om længe fik jeg booket min tur til færørene med en veninde. Færørene har længe været på min ønskeliste over steder jeg ville se og steder hvor jeg ville vandre. Jeg bookede turen med Elsa Maria og fra første sekund hun hentede os på hotellet var der en særlig og yderst behagelig stemning i den lille shuttlebus. Elsa Maria formåede at gøre turen spændende fra start til slut, med historier og anekdoter fra de smukke smukke og golde øer. Hun var opmærksom på folks behov for enten lidt mere tid ved seværdighederne eller mindre. Vi føler virkelig vi fik value for money og mere til. Vi smagte færøsk delikatesse og snaps, vi prøvede en lokal restaurant hvor jeg fik verdens bedste varme kakao og et stykke virkelig fantastisk kage. Jeg skal tilbage til øerne i maj og jeg skal helt sikkert booke turen med Elsa Maria og KUN Elsa Maria til min mor og mine søskende.

It was actually a wonderful day, I appreciated quite a lot this experience. I was very impressed by the sightseeings, the wild Nature and of course by Elsa Maria ‘s interesting explanations all day long. We learnt a lot about Faroe’s Islands.
Moreover we were lucky with the weather and made several stops outside on good spots and also for a convivial and tasty lunch break !

We hardly ever go on guided tours, preferring to travel independently, however, this trip may change our minds. Elsa-Maria was fantastic as a guide and without feeling rushed we covered the high points and a huge amount of area across the Faroe Islands – way more than we ever could have achieved by ourselves. Not only that, but Elsa-Maria chatted to our group of five, giving us information and great local anecdotes about each of the places we visited, including areas we passed through. The restaurant she took us for lunch was wonderful and again. One that required local knowledge. She was a delight to be with!

This was one of the best tours we had in the Faroe Islands. Elsa Maria was a wealth of information and answered all of our questions with great detail. There were so many highlights that it’s almost impossible to pick one thing that was my favorite. I enjoyed everything about this tour. Although it was a full 7 hour tour, we had enough breaks throughout the day and I was able to photograph all the wonderful seascapes and glimpses of nature that the Faroe Islands had to offer. It’s literally a different scene around every corner…it took my breath away over and over again. I can’t even tell you how many times I gasped from the sheer jaw-dropping beauty. The Faroe Islands are magically incredible and Elsa Maria made sure we saw all the sights, people and tasted the food that make it so special. When I returned home, I also received an email from Elsa Maria of all the pictures she took during the tour, plus an interactive road map of all the places we visited!! I was not only surprised, but impressed by this….as I’ve never received anything with such attention to detail from any other tour I’ve taken while traveling. That was a super nice touch and end to my vacation!

This tour was just absolutely WONDERFUL. Elsa Maria is one of the most knowledgeable guides I’ve ever met, and I learned so much about the Faroe Islands because of her. She made sure that we did the tour at our own pace, but also made sure that we got to see everything as listed on the tour. She’s also a GREAT photographer, and I loved that she took photos with her own phone to share with us afterwards. I wish the tour lasted longer, because I had so much fun with Elsa Maria. I HIGHLY recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see the islands, before venturing out on their own. We were able to see as much as possible and it was a nice small group which meant we could have a more personal experience. Some of the little treats provided by Elsa were a lovely touch and i can only highly recommend this trip to others visiting the faroes. We had an amazing tour of the islands, in an outstanding winter landscape! We took the trip on Feb 3rd, with some snowing and wind along the way, but overall nature was on our side that day and allowed us to see all the highlights. Our guide was very warm and knowledgeable, she had many stories and fun facts about the faroese land and culture, and also a few nice surprises for us.
We took loads of jaw dropping, wallpaper-perfect pictures, had a great time and definitely recommend the tour!

Great tour that I would recommend to everyone visiting the Faroe Islands, especially if it’s your first time. We went to many of the big highlights, and the guide also took us to some of the more hidden gems and scenic routes. She was very knowledgeable about the Faroe Islands, and it was really interesting to hear some of her personal stories.

Our guide was a Faroe native with a strong passion for her country.
The tour is quite expensive, but most things are on the Faroe Islands and I think we got good value for our money.
Getting to try local food was an extra special treat on tour and very much appreciated.
I would definitely recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your stay to get a good overview of the the area and a bit of a historical background.

This was a wonderful tour and Elsa Maria is an outstanding guide. We managed to see a lot of places in a single day, but it never seemed rushed. As we’s been warned, the weather is always unpredictable and when we arrived at an overlook that was completely fogged in, Elsa Maria was prepared and pulled out pictures of what it would look like without fog. She also emailed us pictures taken at the places we visited and pictures at the same places in perfect weather. Throughout the tour, she shared her knowledge of the history and culture of the Faroese people and shared personal stories about growing up and living in the Faroe Islands. I came away from the tour knowing much more about both the land and the people. There’s so much to see in the Faroe Islands, that one day just scratches the surface. However, I think this is as good a start as you could possibly do in one day.

The trip is beyond expectations and imagination. Stunningly gorgeous nature landscaping, rare but cute sheep’ and horses and a total tranquil surroundings. Elsa, as our 7 hours plus tour guide plus driver, is a committed tour guide, caring person, full with passion with lots of Faroe information and funny jokes. All These plus points has compensated for the “not-too-good” weather (drizzle and cloudy) in the first 4 hours. Not to forget she carried along hot tea and coffee, candies , chocolates in the van, non stop feeding us for 7 hours.

I booked the “see it all” in a Faroe day tour, and this was such an awesome small group tour with only 8 people. From the day before while hiking at Kalsoy, another tourist told me my guide for the see-it-all tour might be “Elsa” and she was right. From the very start, Elsa Marie made us comfortable with the tour and gave us very good information about history and recent events at Faroe Islands. The restaurant she brought us to was amazing and even if I do not eat much fish, the salmon was amazingly fresh and well-prepared! Elsa Marie was also very conscientious about the environment, and was very good at reminding us not to step on the beautiful green grass. Truly an amazing day where we got to see a lot things, and Elsa Marie even sent us a video of our day a week after the tour 🙂 Highly recommended

It’s been a while since I’ve done a tour like this as I usually just do things like this on my own. I really enjoyed my time on this tour. It hit the things I wanted to see on these islands and things I didn’t know about. The weather was fantastic so I was lucky that way. The group size was perfect. Small enough that people weren’t always in the way of photos and had to wait forever at every site but big enough that it was easy to keep conversations going if you wanted to. The tour guide, Elsa, was an excellent choice and being a tour guide suites her quite well. She is knowledgeable (or she is really good at making things up that are believable), she is sociable to the point where you enjoy her company but isn’t overbearing. And it she seems like the person to go the extra little bit for the tourists. All in all, 5 out of 5 for this trip.

This has been the best tour I have been on. Elsa was born on the Faroe Islands and she knew every inch of the country. It was almost an 8 hour tour circumnavigating many of the archipelagos. It was a small group of 8 that Elsa managed with ease. She took us to a rural cafe where we had an amazing lunch. We stopped at every photo opportunity and hopped out of the bus to take pics. Elsa offered to take pics of us. Along the way Elsa provided a running commentary highlighting the history and geography of each spot. She encouraged us all to ask her questions which we did. Sometimes Elsa would drive past the answer eg local schools and hospitals.

The Tour with Jens was worldclass. We had a little mixed group from different countries and were asked if we have to be back at 3.30 pm.
We made multiple stops for photos and little walks, got facts about the islands all the time by Jens and got a little surprise at Fossa, but I dont want to spoiler ^^ in the end the tour took 2hrs longer than expected, but I loved every minute.
Overall I can highly recommand the tour 🫶🏻

We had a perfect day with Peter, our guide who made this day exciting. Full of interesting stories about people, culture and nature, took us to most important points of interest. Whatever sun, rain, storm, hail nothing stopped him to made this tour a great experience to us. I had a truely great and wonderful experience, we visited all the places that were listed – we had ample time to observe everything and take photos, videos. The tour was very organised and punctual. Our guide, Elsa Maria was very friendly and informative, she provided very interesting details about the landscape, the local culture, the people etc. I really appreciated that she was very thoughtful about us, the visitors – for instance we had the chance to try out a local quisine (traditional ocean food and local spirit) – I personally found it very special. Langt om længe fik jeg booket min tur til færørene med en veninde. Færørene har længe været på min ønskeliste over steder jeg ville se og steder hvor jeg ville vandre. Jeg bookede turen med Elsa Maria og fra første sekund hun hentede os på hotellet var der en særlig og yderst behagelig stemning i den lille shuttlebus. Elsa Maria formåede at gøre turen spændende fra start til slut, med historier og anekdoter fra de smukke smukke og golde øer. Hun var opmærksom på folks behov for enten lidt mere tid ved seværdighederne eller mindre. Vi føler virkelig vi fik value for money og mere til. Vi smagte færøsk delikatesse og snaps, vi prøvede en lokal restaurant hvor jeg fik verdens bedste varme kakao og et stykke virkelig fantastisk kage. Jeg skal tilbage til øerne i maj og jeg skal helt sikkert booke turen med Elsa Maria og KUN Elsa Maria til min mor og mine søskende.

We hardly ever go on guided tours, preferring to travel independently, however, this trip may change our minds. Elsa-Maria was fantastic as a guide and without feeling rushed we covered the high points and a huge amount of area across the Faroe Islands – way more than we ever could have achieved by ourselves. This was one of the best tours we had in the Faroe Islands. Elsa Maria was a wealth of information and answered all of our questions with great detail. Although it was a full 7 hour tour, we had enough breaks throughout the day and I was able to photograph all the wonderful seascapes and glimpses of nature that the Faroe Islands had to offer. The Faroe Islands are magically incredible and Elsa Maria made sure we saw all the sights, people and tasted the food that make it so special. I was not only surprised, but impressed by this….as I’ve never received anything with such attention to detail from any other tour I’ve taken while traveling. That was a super nice touch and end to my vacation!

We had an amazing tour of the islands, in an outstanding winter landscape! We took the trip on Feb 3rd, with some snowing and wind along the way, but overall nature was on our side that day and allowed us to see all the highlights. Our guide was very warm and knowledgeable, she had many stories and fun facts about the faroese land and culture, and also a few nice surprises for us.
We took loads of jaw dropping, wallpaper-perfect pictures, had a great time and definitely recommend the tour!
