Welcome to Faroe Islands

We thoroughly enjoyed our Walking Food Tour with Hedin. He was very warm and welcoming, happy to answer our questions and explain Torshavn’s current and past history as we walked. The food stops were all delicious, and varied and not at all rushed. It was a perfect way to get to see Torshavn for our first visit. We recommend his tour highly.

This Kallur lighthouse tour was excellent. Although I was booked on a group hike, since it was at the end of the season, I was the only person on this hike. The hike was very well organized with a representative meeting me at the dock in Klaksvik and another meeting me off the ferry on Kalsoy to drive me to Trøllanes at the start of the trail. My guide for the actual hike actually grew up in Trøllanes (which has a current population of around 13), so she was able to provide an excellent perspective on the area. The hike itself was not too strenuous although a little slippery in parts due to recent rain (hardly a rarity in the Faroe Islands!). My guide showed a healthy respect for the conditions and actually discouraged me from walking to the classic viewpoint due to the wind and muddy / slippery conditions underfoot - something that I appreciated. After the hike, we had a short walk around her village and then the driver drove me back to the ferry with a short detour to see the Seal Woman in Mikladalur.
I would heartily recommend this tour / hike.

I had a tour around Tórshavn with Jens Hákun Leo on September 16th. I would like to say that I found this to be an excellent tour! Jens was prompt, friendly, clear (great English) and very informative. I really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend Jens as a tour guide.

Really nice walk (easy, along manicured trails) with thrilling views at the end. The boat ride was truly awe-inspiring. I don’t think either of these views could be experienced without the walk and boat ride. The cafe lunch was fabulous too.

Fantastic trip/day. You get to experience the magnificent Faroe Islands in a very intense but comfortable day-tour. Our tour guide, Elsa, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun.
Would recommend to anyone visiting for the first time.
