Great tour. Enjoyed it. But the guide wasn’t understandable most of the tour. In the beginning he was talking through the microfone. Later on he was the most of the time outside on the upper deck. Talking to little groups. We were sitting inside. But when you ask him something he gives you good answers.

This was a stunning boattour! We enjoy the ride a lot. Because of the weather we couldn't see the Múlafossur (we saw it that morning from the land) but hey, safety first!
Our guide Elias xxxxx (🤣) was knowledgeable, a great storyteller, funny and very friendly!

Lovely tour and spectacular views, plenty of photo opportunities. Good bikes and I was glad to have an e-bike despite initial doubts - the climb out of Tórshavn is quite long. Great guiding from a native Faroese cycling/hiking instructor who answered any questions about life in the Faroe islands. Happy to recommend this tour!

I definitely recommend this tour! We received a keepsake glass and sampled several different OY beers while walking around Tórshavn and learning about the town and Faroese history. All of the beers were great. Afterward, we toured the brewery and learned more about how the beers are made and canned. We also had the opportunity to order food from the brewery, which was excellent and made the experience even better.

Do NOT miss this tour! This was by far our favorite experience in the Faroe Islands, and we did at least five other tours during our trip. Our guide, Jógvan, was amazing. He met us in Klaksvík by the ferry and sailed over with us. Once we arrived in Kalsoy, his car was waiting, and he drove us to all the must-see spots on the island.
Jógvan walks at your pace and is happy to stop whenever you need to rest or take photos. We were able to see the lighthouse, James Bond’s memorial, and The Seal Woman. He was incredibly knowledgeable and knew exactly where to find the most unforgettable views and photo spots.

Since this was an evening tour, we were able to enjoy the beauty of Kalsoy with very few other tourists around. There were no issues with daylight, as the sun stays up past 2300 (11 pm) during the summer months. We were also very lucky to have beautiful weather.

To end the tour, Jógvan took us to his beautiful home for Faroese samples, and his wife is a phenomenal cook! I also highly recommend adding the cheese and wine pairing. Seriously, it included some of the best cheese we have ever had. This was such a special and memorable experience.

This is an update to my one-star review below. The morning following our canceled boat trip, I received a call from the CEO of Guide To Faroe Islands. He was most apologetic, and bent over backwards to make it right for us. It happened that Vestmanna canceled the trip without notifying him, so he could not notify us. But nonetheless, since we had purchased the tickets from him he accepted full responsibility and worked hard to apologize, even to the extent of coming out to Elduvik to visit us in person. Therefore, I give his company high marks for service recovery and feel I can fully recommend Guide to Faroes Islands with this 5-star review. So my review is basically opposite of the first one, with top marks going to Hogni and Guide To Faroes Islands. We rebooked the trip for a week later.

What an outstanding introduction to both Torshavn and the Faroes. Jens covered the history, the politics, as well as the social and cultural currents both in the past and up to today. I encourage anyone with an interest in learning about the Faroe Islands to definitely take this tour. It is a must see, and we are so appreciative to the 90 minutes we spent with Jens. I wish we had time for a follow up tour with him.

Absolut empfehlenswert!

Solo traveller - Highly recommend! Couldn’t fault a thing. Even the weather was a 10/10. The self drive option is a winner, as you can go at your own pace and change things up as required.
The country and people are wonderful.
A special shout out to Hogni who was super response to any query.

I definitely recommend this tour! The captain was very knowledgeable and helpful. Waterproof suits and boots were available, including smaller boot sizes than those listed, which was a nice bonus. He took us to a great fishing spot, and after a little instruction, I caught two cod in less than five minutes. We could have caught more, but that was more than enough for us since we were traveling. There were about 10 guests total, with two tables with benches, so the boat did not feel crowded. On the way back, he also showed us how to fillet the fish, and we had plenty of time to do it before returning. He even added a bit of sightseeing to the tour, which was a great extra touch.

An extraordinary experience. Regin is a generous and friendly host with a deep knowledge of the island. He met us after a stunning boat trip and we enjoyed a delicious meal before being guided slowly along the cliffs on a perfect summer’s evening to see thousands of puffins and other seabirds with incredible views of the island and a sunset over the ocean. The accommodation is lovely too and the breakfast the next morning was delicious. This overnight trip to Mikines was an absolute highlight of our holiday and an experience we will never forget. A huge thank you to Regin for making this so special for us.

I highly recommend this tour! It was the perfect way to see Drangarnir up close. There were only six guests on the tour, which made it easy to enjoy the sights and take the photos we were hoping for. Our guide was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable, and he stopped at all the best spots for photos. The boat was comfortable, and the whole experience was wonderful.
