Great tour! The weather was, well, typical for the Faroe Islands but Elsa Maria’s energy made up for it. Understandably, most of the time was spent in the car, enjoying pristine nature through the window and listening to Elsa Maria’s stories. Besides quick photo stops, there were a few stops where we walked around (if I remember correctly, Gjógv, Tjørnuvík, Saksun, Gásadalur (to the waterfall) and the visit to the café for lunch). The tour finished around 15:30 in Gásadalur, meaning that, if you go back to Tórshavn with the tour group, it will be around 16:30. My favourites were Saksun and the Faroese lunch.

Well, we paid for a the Mykines boat tour, but due to high surf, the captain decided it wasn’t safe to go there. Hey, I get it; safety first. Instead we tooled around the bay for a little over an hour as he took us to Mulafossa falls and Draginar, but the weather did not cooperate with us and fogged in most of the impressive sights. Can’t control the weather! We only saw a couple puffins in the water from a distance. To me, it wasn’t worth the money we paid to take myself and two daughters on this boat ride. My daughters had fun and that’s all that counts, right? You win some, you lose some.

Wow! Where do you even begin describing this experience? An incredible day jam packed with action from start to finish. An amazing boat ride out to Mykines followed by a wonderful tour around the entire island by Kathleen, who is super knowledgeable, kind and friendly. She shared with us many amazing stories and facts about the island and took us around the main little village and then on a hike around the island, not to mention the lovely packed lunch and soup you get. You'll want to take photos at every step, it is such a beautiful and picturesque place. Unfortunately on the specific day we were there it was a bit windy and still a bit cold so the puffins didn't want to show themselves (we did see a group sitting in the water quite a bit away) but otherwise it was spectacular views and a real feeling of freedom in the middle of nowhere in the Atlantic. A truly unique and special experience. I hope to be able to come back one day!

Fantastic tour! Harry was a champ and still took me out on what turned out to be a private tour as the other people who were supposed to come cancelled. We saw all the main attractions, got close to puffins, and even showed me a couple of his favourite spots and allowed me to have time to photograph and film everything. Super knowledgeable about the Faroese traditions, lifestyle and everything that happens there. 10/10 would recommend!

This tour was perfect for my husband and myself as a way to see the beauty of the islands up close by hiking along trails, walking in towns and paths, traveling by ferry to out of the way destinations, and especially, getting to know the people through the conversations with our guides.
Having the details of our stay planned by the tour company worked seamlessly and gave us the time to relax and not worry about transportation or lodging. We were well taken care of by our guides who worked to customize our days as much as possible.
We fell in love with the pristine, natural beauty of the islands and the warm pride of the residents.
We highly recommend this tour.

This 3-day tour was fantastic and the Faroe Islands are even more beautiful in person. The company was very responsive and accommodating. We booked an AirBnB in town and they picked us up there each morning instead of designated hotels. The company they used for pick up and drop off at airport were so friendly. We ended up doing 2 of 3 tours only as we decided to stay in town one day to shop, explore and visit all the cafes. I highly recommend. Some suggestions would be a mic on the tour van as you can’t hear tour information if you are not in front seat next to guide and sandwich choices for lunch. I did get a vegetarian on day two but that was happenstance. For tourists, if you are selecting a hotel you should go with Hotel Hafnia or another located right in town. We picked up some other travelers, and while it was not too far, they were definitely not central. You should also be prepared for the hike to lake above the ocean (I think that’s what it’s called). It’s 45 minutes in and 45 out minimum (with changing weather, so bring layers) and that doesn’t include the cliff part where you actually see the optical illusion. I didn’t hike the cliff because of the wind. Thanks again for a great trip!

This tour was amazing. We were only two people on it with a high speed boat and it was perfect, just amazing. It almost felt like a private tour organized especially for us. I would highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience and beautiful scenery. Well worth the cost. Went around and through the arch before docking and walking up the cliff for an amazing view of it. Had ample time to enjoy the view before boarding again. We got a close up view of puffins on the nearby island before returning. Highly recommend for a unique experience. Compliments to the young man working at the cliff hike. He was very polite and friendly.

Amazing trip! The guides were very punctual and full of knowledge. Not a single boring moment. We got to see most of what the Faroe Islands have to offer for a very reasonable price. We had a great time with Elsa Maria and her brother.

We had a wonderful, personalized tour with Johan. He took great care to take us to all the amazing spots the Faroe Islands has to offer. He provided great island history facts to me and my husband. He even squeezed in a couple extra stops along the way. He tried to avoid the large crowds from the big tour buses by taking us on the narrow roads to special lookout places. We had a spectacular day!

Our family of four had an amazing evening with Selma and Tórður. They invited us into their beautiful home and chatted about life in the Faroe Islands providing warm “heimablídni” home hospitality. The meal was delicious traditional Faroe food, breaded cod, potatoes salad and chocolate desert…warm and wholesome food. The evening rounded our trip to the Faroe Islands. Thank you Selma and Tórður!

The boat tour itself was okay overall. It started well, lasted long enough, and the scenery during the tour was enjoyable. However, the instructions on the website really need to be updated and made much more specific.
The biggest issue was with the transportation information. The bus does not stop directly in front of the tourist information center as described online. Instead, it stops further up the road, and you then have to walk down and figure out where to go yourself. This was confusing, especially for visitors unfamiliar with the area.
After the tour finished, the return bus was waiting on the opposite side of the building, completely out of sight from where the boat stops. Because of this lack of clear instructions, I missed my public bus connection and had to wait nearly three hours for the next one.
Overall, the tour itself was decent, but the website instructions seriously need improvement to avoid unnecessary stress and confusion for visitors.
