Welcome to Faroe Islands

This dinner in Toftir was hands-down the highlight of our Faroe Islands trip!

From the very start, we were blown away by the kindness and generosity of Jens and Rigmor. The weather wasn’t great, and they went out of their way to help us get there safely — which made us feel so welcomed before the night even began.

The whole evening was filled with laughter, stories, and the coziest, most welcoming energy. Jens shared a personal story or memory with each dish, which made the meal feel so special and meaningful. The food itself was authentic Faroese cuisine which felt like an honor to experience in their home and with a family that’s been on the islands for generations.

Jens is a total adventurer, Rigmor is his hilarious and perfect counterpart, and her cooking had us leaving completely stuffed. Every course comforting, delicious, and made with much love.

If you’re looking for a truly unique experience that gives you a real peek into Faroese living and hospitality, we cannot recommend this enough. We’ll 100% be back again — thank you Jens and Rigmor for such a magical night!!!

Had a great day with Johan. Learnt lots of new things and totally loved the wild weather of the Faroe Islands. Would recommend this tour. Covers a lot of interesting sights with a bit of time to stretch your legs and time to enjoy the scenery in a comfy vehicle.

I had a wonderful trip to the Faroe Islands thanks to the wonderful guide Tummas. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with him. Throughout the journey, I learned so much about Faroese history, culture, and folklore, all while experiencing some of the most amazing scenery and charming villages. We completed two incredible hikes - Lake Leitisvatn and Hvíthamar - both of which were absolute highlights. Tummas was also very flexible, adjusting the itinerary and daily schedule based on the weather. This made a huge difference, as it allowed us to fully explore all four islands without battling heavy rain, ensuring we experienced each location at its best. It was truly spectacular exploring each of the islands, and I could not recommend this package enough for anyone who is looking to explore and experience the Faroe Islands!

Nous avons fait les 2 excursions. Celle du nord ouest et nord est. Les deux étaient excellentes et magnifiques. Des paysages a couper le souffle a chaque tour. Un très grand remerciement pour Elsa Maria (natif des iles) elle a su nous faire découvrir les Féroés avec l'amour de son pays , plein d'anecdotes et de fun. I took 3 tours with this company and could not be happier! Jens Peter is an excellent guide. Pictures don't do Faroese nature justice. What I appreciated the most were the personal touches like serving us coffee and cookies on a cold fall day or calling the local agency so I can switch my tour. The tour covers a lot but you never feel rushed and are given plenty of time at each stop. A big thank you :)
