Just returned from an amazing 8 day tour of the Faroes (+ a couple of extra days too!) and what a fabulous experience!!

A big thanks to the Guide to Faroe Islands team for making the arrangements so easy and for the faultless coordination, and a huge thanks to the team of guides for wonderful days out, fascinating insights and stories, and taking us to many many great locations and sights.

Overall this was such a memorable experience ... I cannot rate it highly enough.

This is a private tour with Ditte, a local photographer, and I do recommend it. Ditte is very nice, she picks you up at your accommodation, she adjusts the tour to your wishes, and there's even lunch included. We went to several scenic spots around southern Streymoy, and then, because I preferred it, spent most of our time in the northern part of the island, even hiking down (in low tide) to Saksun beach. If you want a flexible tour with a local guide, this is an excellent option!

My tour started on time with the scenic RIB boat ride to the sea arch. The captain even went through the sea arch! Afterwards, they dropped us off, and we had some ~1,5 hours to hike up to the main viewpoint. There was also plenty of time to go further up to see the cliffs, and walk down to the rocks to see another angle of the sea arch. It gets a little crowded up there, and the price for sure is outrageous, but it's also really beautiful and I do appreciate that there was enough time on this tour.

This is a small-tour-group to Vagar island, and I do recommend it. It is a very convenient tour (small group, pick-up at accommodations), lunch is included, the landscape amazing, and the guide we had (I believe her name was Melissa, that of her dog Minnie) was very friendly and accommodating. We first did the hike to the lake above the ocean, and we had plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. Melissa also readily took photos of everyone who wanted them, and made sure that the group all were fine on the hike. She had her dog with her, though luckily, it's only a small, well-behaved dog. After the hike, we had our lunch break, and then headed to Gasadalur and Bøur. I maybe would have liked a little more time in Gasadalur to see the village, but the waterfall definitely is the main attraction here and we had enough time to see that. Also, we had time to take a little walk around Bøur. Overall, it's a great tour!

This is a small-group-tour around Eysturoy and I would - generally - recommend it. The tour is convenient (pick-up at hotels in Torshavn), the guide we had was great, the tour takes you to some beautiful places, and lunch is included (we had fish and chips at Rose's Restaurant & Catering). Also, the guide is flexible, adjusting the schedule according to the weather. This happened on our tour: it was very foggy in the morning, so after three brief photostops in the south of the island (some of which you unfortunately couldn't see much), we spent quite some time at a wool shop (you got a discount if you bought something on the tour), before heading to lunch. In the afternoon, after the fog had cleared, we headed to the Risin og Kellingin viewpoint, Gjógv, and Elduvík. Unfortunately, the time we had in the two villages was very short: In Gjógv, we had about 45 minute time, which wasn't all that much if you want to get to all the viewpoints in the village. Possibly, this is why someone was 15 minutes late on our tour, which then resulted in us only having ten minutes in Elduvík. The schedule change probably messed things up a bit, the latecomer surely didn't help, and the fog ruined the viewpoints a little, but I still couldn't help but feel that half of this tour was pretty forgettable, unless you wanted to spend an hour or so at a wool shop. So I do recommend this tour, but if you want to have time to look around the villages in Eysturoy you're better off not booking this tour.

This is a small group tour taking you to the northern islands of the Faroe Islands, and I would - generally - recommend it. The tour is very convenient and well-organized (pick-up at your accommodation), the scenery is stunning of course, the guide is friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating, and even had some printouts with information for everyone. Also, lunch is included in the tour and it takes place at the private home of a local family, which was so nice. However, the time at each of the stops is very short: we spent maybe 15 minutes at the viking farm (that was fair), another 10-15 minutes at Kunoy, and then had some 10-15 minutes to look around Viðareiði. That was so very short and I wish we had had more time, especially since there was time for a stop at a wool shop in Klaksvik on the way back. Finally, the stop at the ghosttown Múli was dropped without an explanation. Overall, I would not do this tour again because I felt that the focus was not on sightseeing, but that being said, I'm sure that this is a wonderful tour for some.

An inspiring way to spend a few hours on the Faroe Islands! Booked this tour as a way to fill a couple super rainy hours when hiking was off the table, but it ended up being one of the most memorable moments of the trip. A wonderful tour guide, a beautiful setting, and a compelling story of local partnerships and attention to the land - oh and of course, some really unique and delicious products! Cant wait to visit again in the future and to hopefully find the products outside the Faroe Islands soon.

I went on 8/25. I absolutely loved this hike from start to finish! The two guides were incredibly kind, welcoming, and down-to-earth. Hearing them talk about the land made it clear that they are the true, rightful masters of the Faroe Islands, filled with so much love and respect for their home. To make the trip even more magical, they brought along their adorable Scottish Border Collie. She was the star of the show, full of energy and proudly leading us all the way to the viewpoint like a perfect little captain.

The trail itself wasn't too long or exhausting, but the cliffside ocean views at the end were completely unreal—it felt like stepping into a dream. Even though it was a bit foggy during our trip, the scenery was still breathtakingly beautiful and 100% worth every step. I honestly cannot imagine a better hike than this. I took a photo with the two guides at the end and will cherish this memory forever. Highly, highly recommended!

I went on 8/23. I absolutely loved this tour! Instead of the long and exhausting hike from the far starting point, this tour gives you the best of both worlds. You get an amazing boat ride that takes you right through the sea arch, and then you get to land on the island for a short hike up to the absolute best viewpoint. There was more than enough time on land to take incredible photos and just soak in the breathtaking views.
Our guide, Eli, was exceptionally patient, friendly, and down-to-earth. He made the entire trip feel safe and welcoming. I highly recommend booking this tour if you want to see Drangarnir without the grueling trek. A perfect 10/10!

We had an amazing experience on our boat fishing tour with Niklas! 🎣

His boat is clean, modern, and very well maintained, which made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the trip.

And the fishing was incredible! The fish were literally biting almost immediately after we dropped the hooks. We ended up catching 30 over fish , the fish overflowed the basket—we couldn’t believe it! 😂🎣 We even took some of the fish back to our Airbnb and cooked them ourselves. They were incredibly fresh and delicious!

We were picked up on time and had a great fun-fact tour across most of the islands. Our tour guide and driver, Jens Petur was attentive and understanding; one time, making an unscheduled stop to resolve my question. We had a delightful lunch at an old cod-factory, recently renovated to a luxury restaurant. So much to see, so much to absorb. The country is beautiful, the roads are well kept, the people are friendly and the food is delicious.
Thank you Elsa Maria and & Jens Petur

A great way to visit Mykines island. Our host and guide Katrin took excellent care of the group. She’s very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. As far as these things go this is fairly child friendly, Katrin was great with kids and the birds provide frequent entertainment. If you’re worried this might be too long on the island, time really flew by. Overall a great experience.
