I definitely recommend this tour. Jen kept us well informed about where to meet, etc., leading up to the hike. The hike itself is beautiful. Jen is very knowledgeable and shares lots of information about the Faroese area, culture and of course, beer. We ended up taking a cab back to Torshavn because we were a bit slow on the hike and missed the bus. Jen was very patient and took it all in stride.

I highly recommend this tour. We booked the tour through Hogni. He was extremely flexible and easy to work with, and was able to rearrange the trip to accommodate our schedule. Lodging was comfortable and was within walking distance of downtown Torshavn. The tour itself was amazing. Such an interesting and beautiful country! Our tour guides, Johann and Irdi were super nice and enthusiastically shared their knowledge of island’s history and culture. It was great to have insight from locals and to go to places we likely wouldn‘t have seen on our own. We did move some island visits around because of closures on certain days, but we got to see everything that was advertised for the tour. The whole trip was flawless.

If you are planning to visit the Faroe Islands my Wife and I Highly recommend Elsa Maria. From pick up to drop off, Elsa Maria provided a wonderful tour, her knowledge off the Faroe Islands and her passion for them was apparent for the entire 7 hours. You could not wish for a better tour guide.

This is an amazingly organized experience from booking to tour completion, Guide to Faroe Islands were expert, contactable and responsive. The itinerary suggestions were thoughtfully and well timed - the scenery superb, the accommodation clean, comfortable and well situated and the excursions excellent. Highly recommended.

Wonderful trip! However, easy it was not and the description should be updated to at least moderate. The tour started with a very long uphill trek. As an older person I could only make it halfway. Lunch was delicious. My guide, Anita, provided interesting information and was accommodating to the needs of the group.

Absolutely breathtaking scenery! Taking a tour with Hans is like having a good friend drive you around. He is an impressive gentleman who is extremely knowledgeable about the Faroe islands and its history. We stopped for a delicious light lunch in Klaksvik as well as at several scenic and historical spots (great picture taking opportunities!). Highly recommend this tour! An absolutely fantastic day exploring the Faroe Islands. The scenery is breathtaking, but what really made the experience special was our guide. His depth of knowledge about the islands was remarkable, and he brought so much context to everything we saw. You could ask him almost anything about life here and come away having learned something interesting.

There’s something special about seeing a place through someone who knows it so deeply and clearly loves sharing it. I finished the day with a much richer understanding of the Faroe Islands, and even more affection for this extraordinary place.

If you have a day to explore, I can’t recommend this tour highly enough.

We used Guide to Faroe Islands at arrival and departure. Hans picked us up and was waiting for us on arrival. The drive to Torshavn was a tour in itself, with all the highlights pointed out and the history explained. What a lovely introduction to the breathtakingly scenic Faroe Islands and to the lovely people who live there. Our departure ride to the airport was with Johan, who is a wonderful and very kind man who made sure we were okay before leaving us at the terminal. All in all, both trips were unparalleled experiences - which doesn't usually happen with airport transfers!

If you want a truly unique experience of the Faroe Islands, you should absolutely book a tour with Ditte! She was flexible with scheduling our tour due to bad weather and made sure we had a nice day for exploring all of the beautiful places I’d hadn’t yet seen on my trip. We enjoyed chatting together, listening to Faroese music, and she even taught me some Faroese words and phrases! She takes amazing photos, which is so nice when you’re traveling solo as it’s always hard to get nice pictures of yourself! It was like spending the day with a long lost friend in a truly magical place! Takk fyri meg, Ditte! 🩶

It was a great experience! We had the opportunity to go to so many places and learn the history of the islands! We highly recommend it!

Jens was an excellent guide and we had a great experience hiking and talking about Faroese culture with him. Despite the rain and wind, Jens made sure we were comfortable and took breaks when the wind calmed down. The beers he brought along were also excellent and perfect for the day!

We had a wonderful time on our sailing tour of Nolsoy! Hávarður boated us around the island and then even gave us a walking tour of Nolsoy, including a stop in the cafe for some tea. Hávarður was communicative and helped us move the day of our tour in order to accommodate storm weather that would be arriving to the Faroe Islands on our previously selected date. We really appreciated getting to meet him and learn about Faroese culture. Thank you, Hávarður, for an incredible tour!

This was my 3rd tour with Guide to Faroe Islands. And it was an amazing experience again ! The atmosphere was different from the 2 others, all of them being incredible.
Here, enjoy waterfalls, sheep, gorges, and tradition (ie : how to ferment lamb, and to turn cod into bacalao). All this was shown, and fully explained by our guide, Jens Petur, and seasoned with jokes, humour, personal anecdotes and experiences. Nothing to do with any impersonal excursion or even worse ... with any guide book ! He would also make us "feel" the strength of the wind in Faroe Islands ... but hush, I let you discover that one ;-)
I highly recommend this tour. Every moment is a surprise and every minute a chance to better understand the Faroese way of life : Nature, people and traditions, with a glance at the future of the country.
Note : Due to weather conditions, our tour was cancelled 2 days before. But as soon as the weather turned OK, we were proposed other dates making sure we were getting the full service we had subscribed to :-)
