See as much as possible of this undiscovered corner of the world. With an experienced tour guide with a strong passion for seaside views and waterfalls, you are in good company.

Your life-long native Faroe Islands tour guide has the local knowledge and will make sure that you get the most out of your time around the Faroe Islands. So this is what awaits you.

You will be picked up in the morning at your accommodation in Tórshavn (including the suburbs Argir and Hoyvík) on Streymoy Island.  Just let the tour guide know where you are staying once you book the tour.

Now, you will hit the road and head straight to Eysturoy Island. Your tour guide will take you along windswept mountains and all the way to the natural gorge in Gjógv, where you can enjoy the crashing waves.  The peaceful village Gjógv is waiting for you to be discovered.

Now, you will head to the tranquil hideaway Saksun. This lovely little village is tucked away in lush grass on the westside of Streymoy island. The village faces an incredible view of a hidden tidal lagoon.

You will now glide silently along the well-kept roads in the Faroe Islands and stop by the captivating Fossá Waterfall. Enjoy the power of nature for a while as you stand next to the crashing water beside this waterfall that drops in two levels.

After this experience, you will head to the remote settlement Tjørnuvík nestled in unmatched natural beauty. Travellers say this hidden valley feels like reclaiming nature.

There will be a stop at a restaurant for lunch. You can buy yourself something at the restaurant (no restaurant visit on Tuesdays).

Now you will get to the famed Vágar Island. Drive along the breathtakingly beautiful shoreline to the turf-roofed village Bøur. The view that you will encounter is otherworldly. You will have a great view of Tindhólmur islet and the famous sea arch Drangarnir.

Your final stop is the spectacular natural wonder in the small village Gásadalur. Here you will experience Múlafossur waterfall perched on the very edge and from where it plunges into the ocean. The scenery is so naturally and is the perfect place to recharge in nature.

    I was very pleased with the tour that Elsa graciously gave us. It rained the entire day, but that did not ruin the experience. Elsa is such an enthusiastic tour guide who just wants to make visitors to Faroe Islands feel welcome. The stories and history she shared with us were very informative and helpful in making us understand the way of life as a Faroese. The beautiful and impressive compilation video of the entire trip was an added bonus. The pictures turned out great. I am thankful I booked this tour. I wouldn’t change a thing, and I will even recommend this tour to my friends and family who plan to visit in the future. I will be back. I’ve definitely fallen in love with the Faroe Islands.

    This tour was truly Faroe Islands with a local. There was no massive tour bus nor droning guide. This experience felt like an intimate, near private tour with eight of your new closest friends lead by a local. Elsa was an absolutely incredible guide. She spent our entire 7+ hour journey across the islands educating us and stopping for photos at prime locations. There was not Faroe Islands resident (or dog) that she didn’t know, which made me feel welcomed as part of her tour group. Not only were facts provided but she gave us a glimpse into her culture here on the Faroe Islands. Additionally it was clear that she cares about this beautiful land and is interested in responsible tourism, not hoards of people flocking to the islands to destroy their natural beautiful. I would without a doubt book with Elsa again and recommend her to anyone. I learned so much and had a truly unforgettable day. This is the best tour for your money and the best way to see the islands, especially if you’re limited on time.

    The tour was fantastic although it rained all day. Regardless, Elsa has been a very lively and enthusiastic guide who knows and takes pride in her home land. She shared many interesting stories that helped me understand life in Faroe Islands. We saw some stunning views, breathtaking sceneries. I can now say I’ve tasted a Faroese delicacy, and it was a unique experience. I’d do this tour all over again, and make sure everyone I know who plans to visit reaches out to Elsa. She’s really awesome! You cannot doubt how much she loves and enjoys her job.

    It was one of the best day trips I have done. The guide Elsa Maria Bærentsen, was evidently very knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She was enthusiastic to show visitors her country and sharing interesting background and history of Faroe Islands.

    Thoroughly enjoyed the day which was packed with beautiful and mesmerizing sights together with fascinating facts relating to them. Keeping the group small made it intimate and comfortable.

    A must-do activity in Faroe Islands!

    Amazing tour and fantastic guide. Although we hired a car for our time on the Islands, we wanted to also tour the key sites with a local guide. The day really brought the Islands to life and we saw and learnt so much more than we would if we’d ‘self-guided’. The tour also covered some areas that might have felt a bit challenging to drive to in a hire car! And being in a small group made it a really enjoyable day, meeting other travellers and swapping stories. Highly recommend this tour and Elsa Maria (who is quite frankly a world class guide), if you are thinking of booking it… don’t hesitate!

    I cannot recommend this tour enough! Elsa Maria was the most wonderful guide! I enjoy the small group setting, where I was able to ask all the questions that came to mind. The van was comfortable and we even had coffee & tea in the back if we wanted as well as Nordic candies to try!

    The title of the tour really says it all – if you want to see the bulk of all the main tourist sites on the 3 major islands of the Faroe Islands, this tour is the perfect choice for you! Elsa Maria was an outstanding guide, providing lots of great information throughout the drive and keeping the group on-schedule despite the action-packed itinerary. I felt that the allotted time at each stop was sufficient to fully appreciate the incredible beauty of the islands and I ended the tour feeling very satisfied with all I had seen and learnt throughout the day. I would recommend this tour to anyone, especially those who, like me, are traveling on tight timeline in the Faroes and want to see as much as possible in a single-day tour!

    Elsa provided a wonderful tour experience that took my friend and I all over the Faroe Islands to see many of the most sought after sights. As my friend and I our avid photographers, Elsa made sure we had ample opportunity to get out of the vehicle in order to take our photos. She provided commentary on the history of the islands and anecdotes from her childhood growing up on the island. A great tour to get a sense of what the Faroe Islands has to offer.

    Sometimes picking a tour involves a little luck, and in this case we feel that we got lucky.

    Our tour guide Maria proved to be an absolute natural for the job. She had a great sense of humor, a wonderful way of dealing with people and obviously enjoyed sharing a wealth of knowledge about the Faroe Islands and the lifestyle there.

    Maria also showed a real commitment to keeping up the pace to make sure that we saw the most spectacular scenery in each of the Streymoy, Eysturoy and Vágoy Islands that we visited.

    The choice of venue for lunch, plus the standard of the food provided, was excellent.

    We finished the tour with a very positive impression of both the Faroe Islands and the tour that we had selected.

    Excellent tour if you want to see as much places as possible in short time. It is a lot of driving but this is what you expect actually. We have done many longer and short stops, some short walking and had an opportunity for a tasty lunch. Weather was changing as we were moving from one island to another.
    A beautiful day with a lof of impressions!

    I get this trip at 7-7-2024
    Good for me to pick-up at the trip after 30 min delayed with the bus 300 from the Airport = one star
    The driver for the trip was very busy and drive really fast and make several overhauls too.
    The driver were very busy and say – hurry hurry, dont do this and dont do that to everyone.
    My advice for you: get another driver SOON

    I absolutely recommend this tour! Elsa Maria is a wonderful guide – we saw so many sights, got great photos (Elsa took many photos of our family together in the best spots), and heard much information about the Faroe Islands both generally and at a personal level. I hesitated before booking because I knew we’d drive ourselves to many spots, but this tour let us all relax and enjoy a wonderful day without worry or hassle, and we left knowing we had a much more in-depth experience of the Faroe Islands.
