Elduvík is a traditional settlement in the remote Faroe Islands. Located on Eysturoy Island, the houses stand as if they had been dropped from the sky and found their place by chance.

This hidden settlement offers you a variety of charming yards, paths, steps, and ledges. People seeking the opposite of modern straightness will find pleasure here.

Elduvík has a tranquil feeling to it. Standing in the village will calm down everything. The valley and stream running through it is truly something else.

You will reach Elduvík when driving along the fjord Funningsfjørður. When you do so, you will see the village Funningur on the other side of the fjord. The drive towards the settlement comes with spectacular views of the pristine fjord and steep mountains filled with small streams finding their way to the ocean. The streams are most fascinating on rainy days when they are filled with water making impressive white patterns along the hills.
