Take your hiking shoes, take your camera for an amazing trip. Listen to the history, see the beauty and feel the freedom of one of the most wonderful places in the world.
Thanks Jógvan and Jógvan for this beautiful day!
    D 🙂

The trip to the north was really spectacular. And the weather was kind to us! We had a great time

  3. Allison

Bergur was a great and patient guide. The hike was a bit done in by fog but it felt manageable and it was nice to take different routes up and down. Bergur also made arrangements for my father to enjoy a different tour rather than attempt the hike.

I also appreciated the emailed tip about not solely relying on the single bathroom at Kalsoy. Wish everyone on my tour had seen it so we could have started our hike sooner. But really if that is my only quibble, it means it was a great day!

This was a great day out. Jógvan (guide) was very knowledgable, and an excellent host, regaling us with lots of history and some myths as we went around. Most of the day was spent on Kalsoy. The hike to Kalsoy lighthouse was fantastic, and the other Jógvan (hike leader) was friendly, humorous and unflappable. They have their own AirBnB on the island, which (when not being rented) was a good base for packed lunch and for puffin spotting. At the end of the day we drove to Vidareidi on Vidoy (my keyboard doesn’t have the correct d), and while the village is fairly forgettable, the scenery on Vidoy and the views to other islands were all lovely. Definitely worth doing this tour.

I highly recommend this tour. Randi (guide) and Daniel (driver) are fantastic. Randi told us lots of stories and legends about the country and we could see lots of amazing places in the tour, apart from doing the hike to Kallur lighthouse. I would do it again without a second thought, it was worth every penny. Thank you for an unforgettable day in the Faroe islands.

  6. Steven Hildreth

A very wonderful tour that at first seemed a little expensive, but the Faroe Islands is expensive, and the tour was overall 12 hours and the guides were most excellent and at the ‘top of their game’ as we say in English. Randi Meitil was superb – knowledgable, friendly – we could not have hoped for better. Daniel from Britain was good too – and was able to add an ‘outsider’s’ view of Faroe.
Please can you send this to Randi to confirm the English word that we were talking about – the word for the kind of crossing to Kunoy and Viðoy – CAUSEWAY.
Maybe think about 10 minutes stop in Klaksvik for the bookshop and the home-made craft shop.
One last thing – you guys in the tour operator bussiness are not good at answering emails:) Outside the ‘land of maybe’ most people expect to get a reply to a business email within 2 days:) 🙂 Hello – Jogvan and Mikell!!

  7. Lorena

Wonderful day and amazing tour, surely I recommend it

  8. Erin Ying

Will recommend this tour to experienced hiker. You need to be fast to keep up with the guide or you will lose the sight of the group. The view is nice.

  9. Zachary Shufro

Wonderful tour and I had a great time! I would recommend wearing hiking boots with good traction (and bringing hiking poles) if you plan to do the hike to the lighthouse – it’s quite steep, with narrow paths, and is very muddy, but the view at the end is worth every second of it!

  10. Michelle Tough

This day was a dream come true. The hike to Kallur lighthouse was at the top of my list to do in the Faroe Islands, and it was amazing! Definitely wear really good hiking boots with ankle support – the weather was dry and sunny the day I went, but the trail was still muddy (I can only imagine what it would be like in the fog and rain). My guide Absalom is truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and I got to see so much of the island. It’s a day I won’t forget.

  11. Pooja

Overall good driver and points covered. Lot of waiting around, there was one no show from a village host that was supposed to show us around. Joʻgvan tries his best to cover all the bases and has lots of stories to share, but if you speak only English you are at a disadvantage because you get the shorter version of the explanations/stories from the tour. I enjoyed the group I was with, I wish they had planned other activities for us waiting down at the hill, in the time that the other group went for the Lighthouse hike (2 hrs+) – The puffin cottage is cute but not very productive while I was there. (No puffin sightings, May 9). You are better off booking for Nolsoy or Mykines.

  12. Leandro

This is a hard review to make, as the places were fantastic and the tour was good, but it was definitely not worth the money. It costs a small fortune (more than 300 euros + extras for hiking and puffin view, so more than 400 € overall), and I don’t think I got what I paid for. A few remarks:
-The highlight of the tour is the hiking to the lighthouse (60 € extra), which even though some parts are not very easy is totally worth doing. The views at the end are fantastic. Without doing the hike I think it is absolutely not recommended to do the rest, as it is very overpriced and you would need to wait 2 hours in a extremely small village with nothing to do but waiting.
-The puffin colony (35 € extra) is ok if you are satisfied with hopefully seeing some puffins 50-100 metres away. It is just a small space behind a house at the end of town (200 m from where the hike to the lighthouse starts) where I was given literally 12 minutes to see the puffins perched on the cliffs. There was even no control when I went there, so a couple of people had sneaked in for free and were at the viewpoint.
-The rest of the tour was as follows: 1 hour drive from Torshavn (not even pick up at any acommodation) to Klaksvik harbour in a minivan and 30 min there to wait for the ferry. Not even a stop on the way or a visit to some viewpoint in Klaksvik
    -Ferry to Kalsoy
-Drive in Kalsoy to/from Trollanes (and stop in Mikladalur for the woman seal statue) in a big bus with +20 other people (not so “small group tour” any more)
-Drive in the minivan to the northern islands of Kunoy and Vidoy with some nice stops.
-The guides were nice and knowledgeable
-Lunch was included (sandwich, apple, water, chocolate bar)
-Please note that Guide to Faroe Islands is only an intermediary. After the tour I complained about the cost-effectiveness and they just sent my complaint to the operator (who did not reply in almost two weeks as of now), not taking any kind of responsibility for the tour’s shortcomings (e.g., large group for more than half of the tour, short time and long distance at the puffin viewpoint, etc).
Overall, I find the tour completely overpriced -even for faroese standards, as I did another tour there that was much cheaper and better. If you are interested in doing the hike, I would recommend just to take the bus to Klaksvik, then the ferry to Kalsoy and the bus to Trollanes, as I saw many people doing (it is possible to do that and come back in the same day). In the end, it is not so different of what the tour offers (except for the visit to Kunoy and Vidoy).

The multiday tour was an absolute delight from start to finish! From the moment we were picked up, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the knowledgeable tour guides who shared the culture and history of Faroe island. The itinerary was meticulously planned, offering a perfect balance of must-see landmarks and hidden gems, despite the ever changing weather. From boat rides along picturesque coastlines to exhilarating hikes to cliff edge, this multiday tour seamlessly blended the tranquility of nature with the thrill of adventure.
This tour exceeded our expectations, leaving us with unforgettable experiences and a newfound appreciation for Faroe Island.

Do note that the itinerary may change due to the weather, not anyone fault but just typical Faroe island weather.

  14. Josephine Goh

I have no knowledge about Faroe island at all so I booked a 6 days tour with Guide to Faroe Island.

Our guide for the 1st day is Hans and he is so knowledgeable and I was getting a lot of information from him.

Jogyvan, the CEO was our guide for the next 3 days. He is not only knowledgeable about Faroe island but also everything. The education system and their welfare system is one of the world best. I’ve learnt so much from him. I also like it that he is very flexible as there are only 3 of us in the group, he would spend longer time in each destination as well as brought us to additional location.
I enjoyed the trip very well and would recommend to sign up for his trips.

A superb day with the ‘King of Kalsoy’! A lot of interesting facts and stories that you can only get from people that have worked close to the production. Showed us all the interesting spots from NTTD and also sone amazing footage from the filming. And of course put us right on the actual spot where JB…well, you know… The surroundings and nature is just astonishing, and might just be one of the most dramatic and beautiful JB locations of all! Thanx again for the amazing hospitality which even included a nice meal in ‘the Kings’ own home – very much appreciated! A unique JB experience – and as far as we know – look out for even more excitements on Kalsoy in the future!

  16. Simon Lees

The Bond trip was amazing. Johannes (not sure about spelling) or “The King of Trøllanes” was an excellent guide and fantastic host. I have to watch the film again now and look out for his name at the end of the credits. The walk up was fine although I certainly could not have gone on the path beyond the lighthouse to the cliff edge. Some people did though!! We were also incredibly lucky with the weather with perfect visibility.
Thank you again. You are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

  17. Andrew Maloney

It was excellent. We enjoyed our time with the King of Kalsoy!

  18. Cyrelle Watfa

If you are a fan of hiking then go ahead. I fell two times 😂 but it was definitely worth it. The view is unbelievable. I finally saw the puffins. The food was delicious. The whole package tour is excellent. I want to thank Rani (sorry for the misspelling) & Mikkjal for their kindness, their time & experience.
    A must do tour !!!

  19. Troy Murray

Had a WONDERFUL time on the James Bond Tombstone Tour!

  20. Kell Vedsted

It was a great experience and we got more histories and details about the the part of the movie “No time to die” made at Kalsoy. Johannus is a great storyteller. Lunch at Johannus family’s house was a extra plus to the tour.

  21. Steven Dasgupta

The tour was fantastic. Johannus was a great tour guide and he even invited us into his home for a meal.

Johannus is an asset to the Faroe Islands. I am a big James Bond fan and this Tour was the reason I came to the Faroe Islands. I have since discovered its beauty but the thing that highlighted the Islands to me was the Tour.

  22. Heather Zhorela-Schall

Hello! We had a great time! He was amazing!! So very nice and knowledgeable. We felt very honored that he was our tour guide on his property. We felt so welcomed by him. Thanks for the the tour!

  23. Annette Toet

We really enjoyed the James Bond tour, especially the personal touch by Johannes. Not sure if we would recommend it to all our friends because of the considerable price of the tour, but we had a memorabele experience on Kalsoy!

  24. Ivo Haase

The tour was outstanding. Thanks a lot! 😃

  25. Laura Helling

A great day spent on Kalsoy! I’m not sure if I would have made it up to the lighthouse if not for Johannus ! He knows this hike better than anyone and was always looking for the safest path. Once at the top, he took some of the best pictures of me and my husband – these will be treasured forever. Our entire experience was outstanding – thanks also to our driver and the staff at Guide to Faroe Islands for great communication!
We are counting the days until we can return to the Faroe Islands.

  26. Anna Claerbout

We are speechless, it was wonderful, perfect, great. THX

  27. Cheryl Norlund

Kalsoy is an amazing place – not to be missed! We were first greeted at the ferry dock by our taxi-driver Magnus from Mikladalur. This very lovable local drove us out to Trøllanes and explained the sites along the way. In Trøllanes we met Johannes who walked us out to Kallur Lighthhouse – what.breathtaking scenery!! We loved the James Bond stories as well as all the other local stories of the area. Johannes is also very knowledgeable about the birds in the area – and of course about sheep! The walk is absolutely doable even for seniors like us! We also really enjoyed the lamb lunch – delicious! Finally back in the taxi with Magnus and Johannes who showed us a few more sites before dropping us off at the ferry. Some may think the price is a little high, but it is totally worth it considering all that you get to experience during the day. Highly recommended 🙂

  28. Karine et Denis

Great experience with a wonderful and friendly guide ! It was very interesting, well explained and we were lucky enough to have a good lunch in the puffin guesthouse. Thanks for this amazing experience.

  29. Aaron Luk

It went well. Just the weather was a bit unfriendly. Thanks for the hospitality.

  30. Jan Sverre

A very nice trip with a good guide! Highly recommended.

  31. Julie Aakerlund Andersen

Great guide and group. Even though the weather was bad, the guide managed to show us beautiful sights on the island.

  32. Mia Shin

I went on tour this week and haven’t regret it. The weather was good, blue sky and sunny ☀️ Easier to take a lot of good pictures and enjoy the different views and spots on the Island.

  33. Mat

    Amazing tour !
I was the only one on that day so it was just me and my guide Jógvan, he has a passion for history so I got a private history lesson of the Faroe Islands throughout the day and it was super interesting.
It is quite intense because we went to every corner of the island in the day but I never felt rushed. There is no lunch break but we eat breakfast in the ferry in the morning and dinner on the way back.
Jógvan is from the island so he knows all the cool spots to hit (he even showed me his grandfather’s house) and with his contacts we even had the opportunity to visit the unopened yet Viking museum in Hov.
    Would recommend !

  34. Bridgette

Hello. I just wanted to say a very big thank you for arranging a very special immersive experience today on the Faroe Island of Suduroy. Sigmund and Mariann could not have been more helpful and generous in sharing their knowledge and handling ALL my questions. I was truly very lucky to have two very kind and professional a local driver and a local guide. The island is spectacular but the journey was memorable because of our shared jokes, stories, learnings about each other and a surprise and delicious lunch. Thank you all for this amazing experience. The weather was constantly changing which made it all the more extraordinary! I also find booking on your website very easy, thank you for handling all my questions and your very speedy response and excellent customer service. I will always highly recommend Guide to Faroe Islands.

  35. Paul Lenti

It was absolutely fantastic. Not only did we have basically an almost private tour, but the hike itself (and the lighthouse) was beautiful and the weather was perfect. Our guide was wonderful, not only because of the stories he was able to tell but also because he made sure that my wife and I were comfortable the entire time (which was especially important since we had our 1 year old daughter with us).

  36. Emerald Toth

It was amazing! I feel so lucky that I was able to hike with the actual owner of the land and gain so much information that I wouldn’t have otherwise! I can’t wait to be back and book some more tours through you!

  37. Isshaela Ingham

We had a spectacular time in Kalsoy, appreciated the small group and Johannes was extremely generous to share his time, his plans for his land and his experience with us which made it the most meaningful and a truly exceptional experience.

  38. Rifnaldi Rifnaldi

We booked The Kallur Lighthouse Tour. We met our driver Magnus at Syðradalur and he’s so kindhearted that we’re making friends quickly. Jóhannus (The tour guide and the landowner also) has lead us to the top, to see Kallur lighthouse, all amazing view from above and also the James Bond’s Gravestone. I can’t believe that I can really managed to go up there since I’m not the hiker. But Jóhannus always encouraged us so much and we finally get up there! It’s so breathtaking.

We’re so happy and really have wonderful time with the tour.

  39. Gigja Petursdottir

My day on Kalsoy Island was good😊

  40. Henning Rindbo

Our tour was outstanding and The highlights. Kalsoy was great and so was our guide, the farmer and our lunch.
The extra hours we spent was perfect:-)
    Thank you so much.

  41. Jessica

Just did this tour and was so incredibly happy. I’m not sure if it’s usually like this but I think we just got lucky that our group of 4 had the tour all to ourselves. It was so nice to get off the ferry and climb onto a comfortable and basically empty shuttle bus rather than the public bus FULL of people. Our guide, Johannes, was the owner of the land we were hiking on and the sheep we were passing. His demeanor was sweet and open and he answered all my questions about farming, land ownership, puffins all without batting an eye or thinking I was a silly American tourist. I can’t say enough good things about the tour.

  42. Antoine Busuttil

It was great! Really enjoyed it.

  43. Karen Pugh

We could not have had a better tour experience. Having local celebrity Johannes guide us was a bonus. Even our taxi driver back to the ferry shared interesting stories.

  44. Nicolaj Boysen

It was a fantastic trip to Kalsoy and the guide was really good. We can only recommend the trip.

  45. Kelly Ganzberger

We had a great time on the tour and got some wonderful pictures thanks to Johannes. Would definitely recommend the tour to others.

  46. Camille Bleytou

Our time in the Faroe Island was incredible. We will be back for sure. We had a wonderful hike the to Kalsoy lighthouse on this excellent tour.

  47. Maria Garcia

We had a wonderfult time, even if it was rainning all day. The tour is a bit expensive but totally worth it, amazing views, and easy with the ferry and driving in small island like Kalsoy.

  48. Josh Kramer

Incredible! Most epic and stunning views and hike. Absolutely worth doing. Excellent guide!

  49. Lianna Ishihara

Overall, I really enjoyed the Kalsoy Island and Lighthouse tour because of the scenery and the guide. We were very lucky to have the farmer and owner of the land as our guide. It was interesting hearing about life on the island, now and in the past. The views around the island, the lighthouse and of the other nearby islands were stunning! The hike itself I would classify as medium difficulty because it is steep and the paths are very narrow, since it is along the ridges on the sides of the hills. It was fine for those used to hiking, However, we had three people on the tour who were not prepared at all. They were so slow and could not even hike by themselves, needing lots of help from Johannus. The “less than one hour hike” took them almost 2 hours one way! Although I felt bad for them, he probably should have told them that we needed to stick to time so if they couldn’t make it all the way then they could turn back part way. Due to them taking so long, it was stressful for everyone else. We waited in the bus and the driver told us if we didn’t leave right away, we would likely miss the ferry. We also had to skip seeing the village shop and the seal statue to rush in the bus to the port. Luckily we made it as the next ferry wasn’t for 3 hours and there were 10 other people in the bus to consider. In the future, the hike should probably specify that a minimum level of fitness is required for a 5km hilly hike of medium difficulty. It does not say anything about this on the tour description so the three people seemed surprised that they had to hike. We were all very grateful to the bus driver for getting us there safely and quickly- Thanks Magnus!

  50. Andrea Gasper

    Great day!!

  51. Sandhya Kowdley

This was an exhilarating incredible adventure with the landowner and tour guide Johannes. He was kind and patient and went out of his way to keep us safe, given how slow I was. The hike was steep but really fun, the views breathtaking and his stories were the icing on the cake. Saw heaven here on earth and the weather was superb! Don’t miss this!

  52. Susan Farsinsen

Fantastic day😊 I am absolutely filled with impressions. On this tour I got The Faeroeislands under my skin. It is a bit hard to walk in the mountains, but it is worth the effort.

  54. Francesc M Herrero Ricos

    Fantastic Day. Amazing!!.

  55. Christina Williams

Absolutely incredible – cannot recommend this tour enough! Definitely bring snacks/lunch with you though, as we had quite a lot of time in Mikladalur and none of the small food options were open. An incredible day, definitely book this tour if you can!

  56. Christine Holmstedt

One of the most wonderful day trips we have ever done. This is a must do while in Faroe.
Amazing scenery. Jóhannus, the guide and property owner is wonderful and making sure everyone was safe. He spent the day teaching us about the Islands, the farm, history, traditions and lots of other fun facts.
A must do when you visit the Faroes.

  57. Fernanda

My daughter and I had a wonderful time. The tour was perfectly well organised. Lots of local stories and a beautiful hike to the lighthouse. We even got lucky to see a puffin – of course pointed by our great guide. Thank you 🙂

  58. Bodil Laursen

En super tur, der virkelig er alle pengene værd og som vi kun kan varmt anbefale

  59. Eivor Winther Sunesen

Excellent excursion with a knowledgeable and engaging guide. Despite strong winds we were safely guided all the way to the lighthouse and were able to experience the breathtaking landscape of Kallur.
The logistics of the daytrip was well organised with time to visit to the Sealwoman and cafe in Mikladalur on our way to Trøllanes . All in all fantastic trip!

  60. Kameliya Rögner

We met our guide in Trøllanes and then walked to the light house. Johánnus answered all our questions along the way. He talked about farming, herding sheeps, the history of the island, the filming of the James Bond movie…When we were back in the village he showed us a small shop where you could buy a home made rhubarb marmalade.
After that we were driven to Mikladalur. Our driver Magnus was very friendly and he even showed us a secret tunnel with a picturesque view at the end.
We overall enjoy our trip to Kalsoy very much. It was one of the most adventurous days of our journey to the Faroe Islands.

  61. Luke

Sensational scenery (lucking out with the weather helped, clear, sunny & no fog).

Due to only having 2 people on our hike section Johannes (landowner) took advantage of the good weather to get some work done so we were adopted by another group which worked out very well. Johan was a great guide, and we met good time to allow plenty of time at the lighthouse and other peaks.

Logistically/organisation wise it was a bit different. Not having a guide with us from start to finish we were left at the whim of other groups travelling on our mini bus, which resulted in us sitting around for an hour before heading back to the ferry.

This wasn’t a massive issue, but if it had been communicated we could have made better use of our time in Mikladalur. This also meant that we just missed a bus back to Torshavn from Klaksvik meaning another hour there. And unfortunately it was late enough in the afternoon that most places were closed.

It sounds like I’m running the tour down, I had a great day & it’s a fabulous place. It was the lack of communication around the idle time rather than the time itself that was a bit frustrating.

Anyway, I’d highly recommend it if you’ve the time

  62. Diny

Wow! A wonderful experience made possible by an informative and attentive guide. The local knowledge was in depth and interesting.
The views were stunning. I would highly recommend this tour.

  63. Maria Paola Calasso

The tour was very nice and the guide very good. The group was a bit too large, so I would advise to make it smaller if possible, but the guide did a good job at splitting us.

  64. Catherine

It was great to have locals drive us around and tell us stories about the place. The tour was well organised.
    The island itself is spectacular.

I would have appreciated a bit more time at the lighthouse (top of the hike) to walk around and see the different points of view.

Overall, I would totally recommend it to a friend.

  65. Clinton Blackman

An excellent tour to a stunning location. Our guide was not only very knowlegeable but also very considerate towards the slower members of our group as we went up to the lighthouse. Definitely recommended

  66. Jennie T.

We loved our guided hike with the landowner. He kept a good pace and had about six stopping points along the climb to the lighthouse and James Bond memorial, with interesting stories about life in the area during each stop and plenty of time to take photos. The hike is steep at points, so consider bringing trekking poles. We had some time at the lighthouse to rest, eat lunch, and/or go on an optional mini hike. This is a stress-free way to see the island as you can board the ferry as a passenger, eliminating the need to arrive 2+ hours head of time to secure a spot for your vehicle and, more importantly, avoid driving on the narrow, one-lane, cliff-side roads and tunnels of Kalsoy. I highly recommend booking a tour and leaving your vehicle behind. Make sure to check out the handmade knits at the ferry port!

  67. Christine Behrendt

Great trip with an amazing guide! Highly recommended.

  68. Nil Altés Buch

It’s a must! Breathtaking landscape on the top, and Johannus was very kind taking care of us and giving huge explanations for everything related to the lands. Luckily we could see puffins so after all it’s a 10/10 trip!

  69. Ben Morris

We absolutely loved this tour – the convenience and hassle-free experience of catching the Kalsoy ferry as a pedestrian, coupled with the knowledge and charm of the tour guides made this an unforgettable experience!

  70. Wendy Hoschke

Great day in a truly beautiful place!

  71. Gonzalo Vidal

It was absolutely fantastic! The guide, the scenario, the views… Speechless.
We really recommend this hike, the final views are truly worth it.

  72. Mary Brown

Wow! Must see. Not an easy hike but the guides take great care of you!

  73. Victoria Roca

Una excursión fantástica, con vistas espectaculares. El guía, Johannes, muy atento y con mucha información. Realmente vale la pena. Una excursión muy completa, no os perdais la sirenita!

  74. Rehana Anait

43 people was a bit of a shock but we all found our space and everyone was v considerate – so I enjoyed it ! We had the best weather which was fantastic ! Great view !!

  75. Marijke Van den broek

What a wonderful trip to kallur lighthouse today! 4 years ago we were there alone with own rentacar. We loved it and came back. But with this enthousiast and kind guide( landowner) and the busses perfect arranged, this was an even better day! We learned a lot ! Thanks a lot!
    Marijke

  76. Chris Schrader

We had a wonderful and well organized trip to Kallur and the rest of Kalsoy. A few years ago we dus the trip ourselves, with own car. Now we didn’t want to worry about busses and time tables etc. So we booked the tour: it was great! Very interesting because our guide and landowner and farmer was enthousiast and told lot about the area. The buss driver dus make an extra stopover and was also Very nice. We enjoyed the whole trip and were in time for the ferry back to kalsvik! No waiting with our own car to catch a Ferry!

  77. Monique Walter

It was a interesting Tour and many thanks to Magnus, Rani and Johannus! Probably because of bad weather, the hike was more difficult and time consuming, so I was a little bit in a hurry at Mikladur. But also here the soup was fantastique! Everything was well organised and an detailed information per Mail, the day before was appreciated. As a individuel Traveler, it wood have been a big help, to get the actuel Bus to and from Thorshavn on the booked day.

  78. Hanzhe Huang

The lighthouse tour was great and smooth. It was a good and on-time experience led by the local guide.

  79. Sailamarja Kahkonen

Excellent tour! Weather was great which of course makes everything better…. The guide and the bus driver were on time and were looking after the whole group. The scenery up at the lighthouse is simply amazing!

  80. Jose Manuel Lopez Lorente

Maybe, if the weather is fine, this is the most beautiful trekking in Faroe Islands but, when the weather is bad, it can be really dangerous and the path should be closed, because it is muddy and extremely slippery. Guides should tell everyone that it doesn’t make any sense to climb up the hill to see nothing. I’ve seen many people falling down and getting wet and muddy, fortunately without getting hurt. When it is wet, it is not an average difficulty trail, but a very difficult one. Just keep that in mind…

  81. Michael Stone

The landowner was our guide to the Light House and Bond monument. He was a great asset to the tour and could answer every question put to him.

  82. Anna Griffiths

Really enjoyed the tour, learning more about the culture and of course the beautiful scenery! Thanks so much !

  83. Ingela Folemar

Enjoyed the tour, although it started with heavy rain, and I’m very happy we took the tour. Everything went smoothly – nice not having to drive or wait for the local buses and to get a little help in the muddy terrain. Interesting to hear stories from the local people.

  84. Leontýna Nováková

Even though the road was very muddy and it was difficult for about a half of our group to get to the lighthouse, the views that opened to us at the end of our road made up for everything. It would be better though to repair the hiking road, me and my brother had to help our mother all the way down by holding her from both sides

  85. Andrew Mccrea

Tour was good but unfortunately there was fog all day. We were not able to see the lighthouse until we were about 100 meters from it. Never could see the ocean or the cliffs. Not the guides fault…sometimes the weather just isn’t in your favor.

  86. Samuel Renforth

The hike is steep and muddy, but absolutely worth it. The guides, Joan-Heidi and Noni (sp) were very friendly and helpful, as was the driver Magnus. Even with heavy fog, the views were beautiful and the couple running the shop in Mikladalur make everything themselves.

  87. Gabrielle Adler

This was an incredible experience. The views were breathtaking and meeting the guide after taking the ferry was so easy.

  88. Emily Ellison

Amazing tour! Unfortunately, the fog blocked the view up at the light house but it was still beautiful going up! The guides are so awesome! They shared a lot of great information, kept us safe, and were just very nice ladies! I enjoyed this tour a lot!

  89. Linda Lam

    Amazing 🙂

  90. Bozso Gabriella

Best experience on the Faroe, Noomi and Johansson are very helpful and kind, and the scene was breathtaking!

  91. Anna

Absolutely amazing tour!!! Our driver Magnus navigated us through the crazy tunnels and Jákup our guide to the top had some great stories to tell. It was a tough climb to the top with the path being muddy and slippery, but the scenery on top was well wort the struggle!

  92. Ben H

A really great day and an interesting insight into Faroese village and farming life, together with stunning scenery and for Bond fans, an opportunity to see where the final act of No Time To Die was filmed.

Communication prior to the trip was excellent from Joan-Heidi and Noomi was a helpful and informative guide, who met us in Klaksvik before we boarded the ferry to Kalsoy. We were picked up by bus as we arrived, driven expertly by Kalsoy resident Magnus, who took us first to Trøllanes. This small village is in a spectacular valley and where we were met by landowner and farmer Jóhannus. From the village centre, we were then walked to the Kallur lighthouse by both Jóhannus and Noomi who told us about our surroundings, local history and aspects of Faroese life.

Weather in the Faroes is extremely changeable but we were lucky enough to get clear views from the lighthouse and the walk itself is not difficult, although can be muddy in places.

From Trøllanes, we headed to Mikladalur to see the Seal Woman statue having been told of the legend by Noomi en route and where we were able to spend some time enjoying the surroundings before being driven back to catch the return ferry.

  93. Anna Regele

Great tour! We usually like to explore places on our own, but booking this tour was definitelly a good idea – you still get a very authentic experience, sice you’re getting a tour from locals and from the land owner, we didn’t have to worry about the timing and we saw and learned things we couldn’t if we were on our own! Thank you for a great tour!

  94. Sven Mueller

Tour was very nice and enjoyable. After seeing the scores of tourists using the ferry bus I was glad to have booked the tour. We totally lucked out on the weather and had perfect picture opportunities.
I have deducted a star for logistical chaos. None of the provided logistics information was correct: I was told by email I would be sent ferry tickets by email but then received another message that the guide had them. I was told to arrive by 9:30 at the ferry but the guide was 20 minutes late with no apology from her whatsoever, I was told guide would carry tour sign to recognise her but then received last minute phone call of what she was wearing. As I was getting nervous 15 mins before departure I called the operator number to enquire as to the whereabouts of the guide but number was not reachable. In the end everything worked out but this logistical chaos needs to be much improved upon. Don’t tell people a series of facts none of which turn out to be true. This is rather confusing.

  95. Soizic Lecocq

I really enjoyed the tour: we were super lucky with the weather and even saw a few rainbows (!!) but it was still a bit muddy so, don’t forget your hiking shoes. Ditte and Sigmund were very friendly and made it very special. Thanks again!

  96. Christine Simmons

We had a wonderful tour on Kalsoy luckily with amazing weather. The logistics were seamless and far better than taking our own car. Ditte’s commentary was very informative and having a guide made it easier to tackle the, at times, challenging walk. I’d advise anyone who isn’t used to hiking to take a walking pole and make sure you wear weatherproof hiking boots. Worth it for the stunning views.

  97. Olga Postolnikov

Trip was amazing !!!!! With two kids under 5 years old kids! Wow, breathtaking views!
Our guide DITTE was terrific. She was very entertaining and knowledgeable about how to present the tour Well done!

  98. Albrecht Marin

It was a good tour, great views, great driver and guide, I will recommended

  100. Luis

What a perfect day! Jógvan was an excellent tour guide; he provided information, was always taking care of the group and assure we had the best experience possible.

  101. Nataša

We enjoyed our trip to Kalsoy Island. It was well organized, our guide was pleasant. We had luck with the weather as well.

  102. Mr Keith M Mclean

Enjoyed the tour and the fact that everything was arranged. Tour guide was local, knowledgable and interesting. The walk itself was very easy although a bit slippery underfoot and the views were terrific. There was time to explore 2 villages and see the Seal-woman.

We brought our own lunch but if we’d known there was a cafe we might not have done as we’d have liked to support a local business.

  103. Marsha Muttdon

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour to Kalsoy Island and Kallur Lighthouse. It was a picture perfect day with many photo opportunities with the ever-changing weather. The guide was fun and provided information about the area. There were three different viewpoints to photograph the lighthouse. My highlight was spotting a puffin on the cliffs on my way up the James Bond’s Tombstone and the many spectacular vistas. We stopped for lunch after the hike then continued on to see the Seal Woman statue at Mikladadur and wander through the village. There is a lovely cafe here offering home-made cakes, coffee and drinks etc. The tour went seamlessly and the communication leading up to the tour was excellent. The is not difficult but I would definitely recommend wearing hiking boots. Thank you for a wonderful day

  104. Zach Lucas

Wonderful tour – with great dry weather, the hike to the Kallur lighthouse was very easy and we were able to enjoy time there. Relaxed tour, not stressful! A+

  105. Wendy Roberts

A wonderful trip with a great guide. Jogvan was quietly helpful and shared great stories and information. The hike to Kallur was a highlight. The track was unusually dry so not too difficult, but I’m glad I had my walking poles to help my old knees on the slopes. The views at the top were spectacular (fortunately the weather was great). All the arrangements and communications were very smooth. I highly recommend this tour.

  106. Lisa

We had a great day. Our bus driver was so kind and fun.

We enjoyed the tour of the the town with our guide and are so grateful to have met Maggie at her cafe. If you visit make sure you stop by Maggie’s cafe to say hello and have a glass of wine or cup of coffee.

We were not prepared for how steep and muddy the hike would be. I highly recommend you being hiking poles and rugged hiking shoes for that part of the tour.

Although we could not do the entire hike we enjoyed chatting with and meet the locals.

  107. roueida doughan

    I really enjoyed this trip
beautiful , very peaceful with mesmerizing views all the way
the guide was very helpful ; very nice with great humour
he explained many things and gave us all the time to take pictures and rest
    I highly recommend

  108. Eva

  109. Catherine Sieleman

The weather didn’t quite cooperate for the ultimate views at the top from the Kallur lighthouse, but it was a fun day! I wasn’t prepared for the difficulty of the “trail” – which is basically sheep tracks the entire way up and down. I was wearing the proper equipment but felt sorry for the girl I. Tennis shoes slipping around in the mud the whole time. I do t know how she did it! The hike was great, the breaking down of our bus not so much. 😆 Luckily I could hang out and wait by the Seal Woman until the new bus came and got us. The driver was fantastic but he felt very bad. All in all it was a great day!

  110. Marek

The organization of the tour was super poor. We were supposed to receive information about the trip the evening before. We did not receive anything, when I called the agency one hour before the departure of the ferry, they said they would get in touch with me with all information and ticket for ferry, 30 minutes later, still nothing. I kept calling them, but they kept telling that they would send the email with information. Finally they send a taxi driver, who arrived 5 minutes before the departure of the ferry with tickets on his cell phone… I did not understand why they just did not send us the tickets. The taxi driver was very confused and provided no information. The woman from the agency kept telling me she would send the email, well I did the tour yesterday and the email never arrived. Finally we made it to the ferry, but it was quite stressful and unprofessional from the agency.

Then on the other hand, the tour itself was absolutely amazing. our local guide was great. He saved our tour and I give a higher rating only because of him.

  111. Christer

There wasn’t a lot of information provided regarding the meeting details by the ferry – we got an e-mail the day before the tour that said we were supposed to meet by the ferry at Klaksvík, but we didn’t know who to meet and no one really met up with us until the last moment to help us get aboard. After that though, things went pretty smoothly, we got information on where to go and our guide Jógvan (and driver Magnus) was fantastic. Felt like he had a genuine interest, knowledge and care for both the islands, their history and us who were visiting – I always felt in good hands throughout the entire tour.

The hike itself was a bit tougher than I expected personally (as I’m used to a bit more flat terrain when hiking), the grassy slopes can be quite treacherous and the initial incline made it more taxing than I had thought – I decided to listen to my body and wimp out about halfway rather than exert myself and risk injury, our guide had told us that was OK to do and to follow the blue markers marking the best way back. The views both from up the hillside (despite me not getting to the lighthouse) and down in the valley by Trøllanes are so incredible that I didn’t mind one bit. Anyone in above average physical condition and/or with some experience hiking, especially in hills/mountains, shouldn’t worry too much though unless the weather turns bad, it’s not an extremely difficult hike by any means.

After that, the tour took us to the little village of Mikladalur, which was super nice. We walked down to the waterline and saw the Seal women statue, some waterfalls and historical buildings, and Jógvan told us a bunch of interesting details about it all. We also met with a fantastically kind couple selling and serving waffles (the thin Scandinavian kind) out of their home.

And that was about the extent of the tour – while it may seem short in text, it was pretty extensive and fantastic in every which way (apart from the communication prior to the gathering at the pier, the only reason I’m deducting a star) and I’m super grateful for having been a part of it. Do note, that if you’re doing this during summer and it’s sunny (it was during our tour), make sure to use SPF! The e-mail told us the forecast was mainly cloudy, so I forgot to apply it and got a bit of sunburn. Lesson learned, better safe than sorry. 🙂

  112. Martin

    Good points :

    1) The guides were truly delightful , being locals they had much to offer talking to them about their lives in this remarkable place.
    2) The hike was easy and we were lucky that the weather was fine. The views are more than worth the gentle climb. If wet it could get slippery.
    3) The seal woman ( Silkie?)at Milkadalur was truly beautiful in a stunning backdrop.
    4) There was never any doubt about getting on to the ferry or missing buses etc. The minibus driver (one of the guides uncles?) was great.

    Not such good points:
    1) The pre ferry arrangements on the kalsvik side were a little confused, no fault of the contact. It’s just busy.
    2) not sure whether it represents great value for money at the price compared to self organising.
    3) The lighthouse was undergoing some repairs son a bit of a small building site but this is a working lighthouse so can’t be helped.

Having said that I recommend thoroughly , just for the local guides if nothing else as well as the convenience of not having to worry about arrangements.

  113. Erin

We really enjoyed this tour and getting the chance to ask a local our questions. The instructions in the email for catching the ferry were very detailed, and it wasn’t hard to find the guide and bus on the other side.

The most difficult part of the hike is mainly the beginning (steep incline, skinny & muddy terraced paths that a foot can barely fit on) but if you can make it past that, you’re probably fine. I do recommend hiking poles, even if you have good hiking boots, because of the mud. And bring rain gear even if it’s not initially raining.

But it was very interesting, great views, cool to see inside places we wouldn’t have had access to (like inside the lighthouse) and we were able to do everything on the itinerary with time to spare.

  114. Graeme Young

Seamless experience from receiving the very detailed confirmation email to getting on minibus . Once at Kalsoy we were met by Magnus the driver and Eyðun our guide ( who I believe nearly owns the island or most of the sheep anyway) . Great travelling through the single track tunnels and down some of the switchback tracks. The journey takes about 25 minutes from the ferry to the small hamlet of Trøllanes where the hike begins. I must admit the going is more of a scramble for the first section up a steep bank so where preferably walking boots and if possible take walking poles. It then levels out for a short section then up again to the James Bond monument and the cliffs an amazing experience made better with the assistance of my “American Cousins” . Walked to the lighthouse with Gannets and Seabirds below us. Eyðun Then took us along the second knife edge ridge with a spectacular view of the lighthouse sitting on the cliff side. It was then back again through some marshy ground before the scramble back down . I am glad to say that I counted them out and back again and we had the same number of guests 👍. Had a coffee ☕️ at the small kiosk .The gentleman was obviously having a bad day and was very perfunctory in serving this don’t expect too much chit chat.
Following the hike it was back on the bus to Mikladalur where we walked down the steps to the Seal Woman statue. All in all a great day out with good company fantastic views and memories that will last a lifetime. Well worth it

  115. David

The destination and views are well worth it.

Having worked in developing tours as my career and having been on many tours, the tour itself is not great and the description is a bit misleading regarding the strenuous nature of the hike.

Our “guide” Andrias, was really more of an escort/driver. Not a lot of outgoing personality or information provided. When a person in our group asked about the history for the seal woman statue, he told her to read the sign.

The hike itself is quite a challenge as there is no real path, but multiple muddy sheep trails going up the steep hillside and than across the fields. It was a struggle for some of the older people in the group and everyone was thoroughly soaked. Rubber boots would have been great to have if they had been recommended. Several in the group slid in the mud and a number gave up. Especially around the James Bond memorial, it was a slippery, muddy area that was quite treacherous to navigate if you wanted to get close. Considering the fees collected for visitors, it does not seem anything has been invested to either maintain or improve the access to the lighthouse.

The best part of the tour was it did make the parts of the trip easier with the ferry and transportation to the sites.

For the cost of the tour, I would have expected a higher quality. Communicatikns before the tour was very good.

  116. Paul Arkell

This was a great day out and very glad to have gone along with our guide Absalon rather than doing it myself. It might seem costly to some but worth it in knowing that we are on private land and not having to organise it ourselves.
Our guide told us many stories throughout the day not just in regards to the tour but also Faroe life. It was muddy at times but it was completely doable. There was also an indication of this beforehand and so everyone wore good footwear and enjoyed the walk.
The trip to Seal woman afterwards was a nice way to end the day again peppered with stories from Absalon.
    Thanks for a great day

  117. Dan Cooper

Super fun and well organised. Our guide was lovely and her English was excellent. Totally recommend!

  118. WT8P

Overall, very good experience and I’m very glad I went on this trip. Our guide, Marianne, was a bundle of energy, and gave us ample and accurate warnings about difficult portions of the hike. She and our driver (whose name I forgot; he seemed nice, though not talkative) kept us abreast of schedule and there was no doubt that we would make the return ferry.

The hike from Trøllanes to the Lighthouse (and beyond) is divided into three segments: 1) a scramble up a steep hill, which I thought was the easiest as long as I could keep moving forward. Having people stop made it more of a challenge. 2) lateral, slightly downhill trek along narrow, terraced sheep tracks. This was, by far, the most difficult section for me. I stumbled at least four times, enough to thoroughly coat my pants and ego with Faeroe mud. Definitely potential ankle-twisting territory. This was the only time during my trip when I wished I had trekking poles for balance, though I’m honestly unsure if they would have helped. 3) gentler climb to the lighthouse.

Side trips to Big Head and Little Head were narrow, “knife edge” treks, not especially difficult until you had to pass someone coming the other way. Views are outstanding in the clear weather we had, and you can watch the gannets and seabirds below. The “James Bond Tombstone” (RIP 007) is a field of mud from all of the traffic.

After the hiking portion, there is a little cafe where one can purchase a meal (Thai- and Vietnamese-inspired dishes), soda (20 DKK) or coffee.

Following the hike, the took us to Mikladalur, where we walked down to the Kópakonan (Seal Woman statue). Up top, there is a very clean WC and cafe near here.

    Good points :

    1) Marianne, our guide, was delightful. Being local, she had much to offer. Our driver seemed nice enough but did not talk a lot. I’m cool with that as the bus to tunnel-width ratio feels pretty close to .95.
    2) The hike was moderately challenging due to the uneven and slippery ground (see above). We were fortunate the weather was perfect. There was ample time to explore Big Head and the tombstone. I probably could have done the Little Head viewpoint as well.
    3) The Seal Woman at Milkadalur is surrounded by a stunning backdrop.

    Area for improvement:
The “detailed” email arrived at 21:18 the night before, about twelve minutes after I had thought “Maybe things are catawampus, I’ll just hedge with a 40DKK (about $6.25) ferry ticket as that’s the critical link.” The specific information (name of driver and the bus license plate) were both incorrect, so I’m not sure I see a reason to not send this out sooner. 4pm seems reasonable.

Having said that I recommend thoroughly , just for the local guides if nothing else as well as the convenience of not having to worry about arrangements.

  119. Richard MacKenzie

On April 29, 2024, I booked the 5 hour Kalsoy Island & Kallur Lighthouse Tour for my wife and I on September 11th. We live in Toronto, Canada and travelled to the Faroes on September 9th. As expected, we received an email from the trip coordinator, Jogvan Hovsholm, on September 10th that provided us with details concerning the hike including the following: “Also please be advised to be very careful when hiking, since the path and next to the path can be wet and slippery. There were multiple injuries last year, so please take your time and tread carefully. It looks like it’s going to be raining quite heavily and very strong winds, 60 kph Northerly winds, but of course this changes all the time. Please wear waterproof and warm clothes and proper hiking boots/shoes with good grip on the soles.” As requested, we replied to the email that we would be at the ferry terminal in the morning. However, as the evening went on the weather continued to look threatening and we decided to reconsider our plans in the early morning. At 7:30 a.m. it became apparent to us that the weather conditions would make the hike extremely risky and I advised Jogvan that we would not participate in the hike. I did not ask for a refund. I did not receive a response to my email so I don’t know whether the hike proceeded as planned. I also did not receive a refund. Later that morning my wife and I drove north to Gjogv which, as you know, is in the vicinity of Kalsoy. The weather was as described in the email above, if not worse. We went for a short walk and were nearly blown off our feet. At times the rain was torrential. It was obvious to us that we made the right decision in not participating in the hike as it would have been very dangerous, especially in the exposed areas leading up to the lighthouse. At the time of our booking there was no mention in your promotional material that we should be “very careful when hiking, since the path and next to the path can be wet and slippery. There were multiple injuries last year”. There was no provision stated for cancellation, or a refund should inclement weather make the hike unacceptably risky and dangerous. I think the tour company should have made the potential risks associated with the hike abundantly clear at the time of the reservation, not less than 24 hours in advance. If the hike needs to be cancelled because of inclement weather, a refund should be offered. In other words, the tour company should introduce a cancellation policy at the time of purchase. If we had known that there would be no refunds regardless of weather conditions, we likely would not have booked to go on the hike in the first place. I hope others who are interested in the hike will learn from our mistake.

  120. Riccardo Zampieri

I had a wonderful experience with Mariann. It was only the two of us because everyone else decided either to cancel or to not show up for the bad weather (worst decision they could make). How can you come to these majestic islands and stay home if the weather is a bit challenging?? I don’t get in the first place why you’d come; I mean, if you are not ok being outside with heavy rain and wind go somewhere else lol. Anyway, my experience was unique. The description and the meeting point were well explained and I had zero problems finding the spot. After that, me and Mariann procedeed alone and it was wonderful, I had a really good time with her and Magnus, the driver, he’s such a genuine man. The only thing is to be careful as the path may be a bit slippery, but nothing crazy. I did hikes way more difficult than this one in the islands. Highly recommended tour.
Waiting for you in Milan Mariann 🙂

  121. Caj Brage

We three tourists enjoyed our tour with the guide Mariann
The day started with not so good weather, but it improved the closer we got to the lighthouse
Everything turned out to be quite fantastic, the guidance, the amazing views and the weather with sun and NO wind
The 45 min trail was challenging with a lot of mud and step parts, You really need waterproof shoes !
The lighthouse itself is a standard small building with a small Fresnel lens on top, but the surroundings are amazing
This day was by far our best day of this visit at Faroe Islands, more to come

  122. Katarzyna Bondi

We had a great trip to the lighthouse! the weather was beautiful and hike was pleasant. The hike is quite steep and muddy, so I personally would recommend to take it with a guide to make it nice and easy without worrying about the parking, time, route or anything at all. The guides took good care of us 🙂

  123. Margaret

The hike has recently been improved, the first part of the hike is no longer a steep muddy mess and is now a rock paved path that cuts about an hour off the hike time.
The weather was looking bad in the morning on the ferry but by the time we got up there the clouds had patted and the sun was out, fantastic hike and view.
Very glad I booked with GuidetoFaroe as they made the whole experience care free and comfortable. Mariann was a wonderful tour guide and will highly recommend the company in future

  124. Raphael

We really enjoyed our day on Kalsoy, hiking to the Kallur lighthouse and visiting Mikladalur were definite highlights. The island is stunning, and we were lucky to have great weather, which made the experience even better. Magnus, our driver, picked us up at the ferry landing. He’s a Kalsoy native and shared a lot about life on the island and in the Faroes more broadly. He was friendly and charming, and also a great driver—something you come to appreciate quickly when navigating the island’s narrow, dark tunnels.

When we arrived in Trollanes, we made a brief stop at the puffin viewpoint, located at a guesthouse run by the family who owns the land where the lighthouse hike begins. Puffins usually hunt during the day and return in the evening, but we were lucky enough to spot a few flying near the nesting ground.

There’s a public WC in the village, which was good to know before setting off on the hike. The trail to the lighthouse is relatively easy for experienced hikers in good weather, especially with shoes that have some grip. In worse conditions, the path would become very muddy and off-camber, so trekking poles might be a good idea. The views at the lighthouse and near the Bond gravestone were absolutely stunning and well worth the effort. We took a couple of breaks to eat and take photos, and the whole hike took us about an hour and fifteen minutes.

After the hike, Magnus picked us up again and drove us to Mikladalur. There’s a WC and a vending machine in town. We wandered the small village, spent some time relaxing near the Seal Woman statue, and explored the rocks by the sea until it was time to head back. The ferry departed promptly at 15:10.

This being our first full day in the Faroes, it was a perfect introduction to the kind of hikes and landscapes you can expect to find on the northern isles. We definitely recommend visiting Kalsoy with this tour.

That said, our trip did have a few organizational hiccups. We didn’t receive any advance communication about the ferry, which made getting on a bit confusing. More significantly, the guide that the tour description mentioned was not provided. So in the end, we paid for the hiking fee, ferry, and to have a private driver, which left us feeling a little disappointed considering the cost.

Fortunately, when we contacted the tour website’s support, they were responsive and helpful. We explained the situation and received a partial refund from the operator, which helped make things right. Because of that, we’re still happy to recommend the tour. The company emphasizes working with local people who have full-time jobs and busy lives, so we understand that sometimes things fall through. Still, we hope they work on improving advance communication and making more of an effort to reschedule or cancel when a guide isn’t available.

  125. Roberto

Fantastic tour in a sunny day with a very gentle guide

  126. Phoebe

We had such a great day. A super easy option to take any stress out of catching car ferries and getting back in time. I imagine peak season might get a little busier but for us there were a few groups and it was perfect.
    Lovely guide and spectacular location

  127. Dimitrios

One of my favourite days in Faroe Islands. The tour was very nice and everything was taken care of in terms of transportation, tickets and guides. Communication before the trip was really detailed. It was very smooth to reach Trollanes with the ferry and then our driver. The path was moderate in difficulty but the views really rewarding at the end. The scenery around the lighthouse is incredible and I captured some of the most perfect photos of the trip. Our guide was really good and made many stops telling us stories about Kalsoy and we had the chance to discuss also the daily life in the islands. Mikladalur was also very nice with beautiful houses and the seal woman statue as expected. The weather helped on that day but anyway is a great experience to visit these places. All excursions booked from Guide to Faroe Islands exceeded expectations. A special mention and a big thank you to Hogni who assisted with anything needed in rebooking trips due to weather and provided many helpful details and tips.

  128. Christophe

Really nice tour with a great local guide who explained a lot of interesting things. I would recommend !

  129. Harry Zimmerman

This may have been the highlight of my trip to the Faroe Islands. The guide, Johannus, and his in-training Border Collie, Dorus were terrific leaders of the expedition to the Kallur Lighthouse. He is very knowledgeable and told some fascinating stories about the role the Faroes played during WWII, along with his own family history on Trollanes. While the light could have been better for my photography endeavors, nevertheless it was an adventure I’ll never forget!

  130. Francesco

Consiglio.

  131. Silvia

Fantastic experience, great view , nice walking .We had a very pleasent time and luckily no rain and no wind .The guide was smart. and friendly

  132. Araceli

Our 5-hour adventure to the Kallur Lighthouse and the James Bond memorial was nothing short of unforgettable. The guide was truly exceptional, knowledgeable, passionate, and incredibly warm. They brought the stunning Faroese landscape to life with rich history, local stories, and fun facts that made every step more meaningful. The hike to the lighthouse was breathtaking, with jaw-dropping views at every turn, and standing at the iconic James Bond filming spot felt surreal. A perfect blend of nature, culture, and cinematic magic. Highly recommend!

  133. D Fabricius

Despite rain and heavy wind, the tour was worth it all! The hike to the lighthouse, the stunning views and the cute puffins – all was beautiful.
The guide with his stories and humor made the trip very pleasant and the driver took us safely around the island.

  134. BC

Heavy rain but very enjoyable tour. I liked hearing many details about the filming of James Bond on the island from our guide.
