Welcome to Faroe Islands

The trip to Mykines felt very safe. A tip to other travellers would be to ensure you have booked a guide in Mykines so you don’t feel under pressure to book through the shuttle service. Apparently it is mandatory to use a guide at Mykines which is fine, it just wasn’t that clear when we made our booking. That all said, we had good weather and it was a spectacular trip.

A group of us joined the tour organised by Elsa Maria and Jens Petur who took us around some of the beautiful islands near to Tórshavn. Both Elsa Maria and Jens Petur are very friendly and attentive and the tour is very professionally organised. Along the way, we were offered treats which was a nice touch. We have no reservation in recommending the tour.

During our stay in Faroe Islands, Tórshavn was mostly hidden in the mist, but there seems to be micro-climates in different parts of the islands, and the weather improved once we were outside of Tórshavn. So don't let the weather put you off joining a tour.

A beautiful trip with excellent and funny guides. Lots of Puffins.

Great boat ride! We loved getting to close to the cliffs and seeing hundreds of sea birds including a colony of puffins flying above us! We went with 3 little kids (6,3,1) and split our time sitting inside and going outside for better views.

We thoroughly enjoyed our hike to the "Lake above the ocean" with our fabulous tour guide Joan. The weather at first didn`t look very welcoming. When we started our hike it was raining and foggy. But fortunately after a while the rain stopped and the sky cleared revealing the spectacular scenery and the amazing cliffs. In some places the path and the rocks were a bit slippery, but Joan was very attentive and helped us to get safely over the rocks. After the hike she took us to some more amazing spots on the island. Thank you so much! We had a wonderful day.
