Geituskorardrangur Travel Guide
Geituskorardrangur is a free-standing rock wall on Vágar Island in the unbelievable Faroe Islands. This rock formation towers 116 metres (380 feet) above sea level. Reach the attraction after walking for one one.
You will get the best view of this free standing sea-stack just beside Bøsdalafossur waterfall. In order to reach Geituskorardrangur, you will hike for one hour along Lake Leitisvatn.
The hike to Geituskorardrangur starts from a trailhead just outside the village Miðvágur. The hike is easy with almost no elevation.
There are great opportunities to sit down on the rocky ground and simply enjoy the sight. Expect to see lots of birds flying above your head and also underneath you.
You will have a blast watching the sea stretching endlessly across the horizon. When the wind is howling, everything gets more moody. You will hear the waves roaring when crashing agains the black basalt.
