This abandoned village is located far away from nearby settlements on Vágar island. Getting here requires a quite long hike from the small village Vatnsoyrar next to the lake Leitisvatn (also known as Sørvágsvatn).

Follow the river from Vatnsoyrar all the way to lake Fjallavatn and then further away. Then you will reach the breathtakingly beautiful scenery in Víkar.
