Eiðiskollur Travel Guide
Eiðiskollur is a soaring cliff north of the village Eiði in the Faroe Islands. The cliff is located on the island Eysturoy.
You will reach Eiðiskollur after a short but steep hike from the village Eiði. When you get to the attraction, you will have an exceptional view of cliffs and the pristine North Atlantic Ocean.
Eiðiskollur peaks at 343 meters above sea level. From near the cliff’s edge, you can look down on the rock formations Risin & Kellingin.
The cliffs here are remarkable sheer so be very careful. There are no fences or any sign telling you when you get close to the edge.
Getting to Eiðiskollur
Find your way to the village Eiði. It takes less than an hour to drive from the capital Tórshavn to this village in the northernmost part of Eysturoy Island.
Once in Eiði, drive between the houses and up the hill. Drive all the way up the road ‘Kolsvegur’ and park along the road.
Start your hike form here. There are stone cairns along the route with will eventually lead you all the way to the most breathtaking views.
